Loryma Resort Hotel

IT WAS SUCH A PLEASURE TO STAY AT THE LORYMA RESORT.I COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW BEAUTIFUL THE VIEWS WHERE,SITUATED HALF WAY UP A MOUNTAIN OVERLOOKING THE BAY.GOOD FOOD SERVED FROM EITHER A BUFFET RESTAURANT OR AN ALA CARTE RESTAURANT,THE HOTEL SITUATED IN A PEACEFUL PART OF TURUNC,DOESNT MATTER WHETHER YOU STAY SELF CATERING, B AND B OR HALF BOARD,WE STAYED SELF-CATERING BOTH TIMES because there is a lovely little shop selling all our breakfast needs and we ate in the ala carte restaurant most nights,and there is a free shuttle bus to the village OR just get a taxi to the village for a fiver.The MOST OUTSTANDING feature of the resort is the hospitality,the staff cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. So much so we are returning again in May .Reception, waiters,room cleaning,bar staff even the higher management Everyone was so helpful and friendly.My wife was recovering from breast cancer and the LORYMA was the best recovery possible IF there are any negatives it is a difficult place for anyone with serious walking difficulties ,I have osteoarthritis but I managed ok.Only other negative is 2 hour transfer time from Airport, but time can be reduced if you get private transfer

The hotel is set in lovely gardens above the crescent bay of Turunc, surrounded by spectacular mountains with beautiful views. We were in room 206, a perfect location just 5 minutes from reception, grocery shop and swimming pool. The room was cleaned every other day with a change of linens. This is a ground floor room with a small patio area. Unfortunately we could not leave the doors open due a problem with cats trying to get into the room. The living room (2nd bedroom) and kitchen are at the front of the accommodation, no ac ceiling fan only. The kitchen area is large and well equipped with fridge freezer, small oven, 2 induction rings, kettle, toasters, crockery and cutlery. Walking to the small bedroom which is at the back of the accommodation with no views, you pass the small bathroom, which does have a large shower area. There is loads of storage space. An iron and small board were in the wardrobe along with slippers. The swimming pool is v large, good for swimming lengths, has no shallow end and is not heated. There is a separate children's pool in a separate location. There were lots of sunbeds and plenty of shade provided by trees and parasols. During the day there is a free shuttle bus into Turunc. We walked into Turunc every evening. 2.2 km. There are no pavements and although there's street lighting a torch is needed. It's a pleasant stroll down and a bit of a slog back up, takes about 25 minutes. We used the little shop for fresh bread each morning and large containers of water. Facilities we didn't use - restaurants, bars, spa, indoor pool, gym, room with table tennis and pool table

Very beautiful territory, comfortable apartments and kitchenette.
Large deep outside pool, but cold, not heated. Children's pool is also not heated.
Cleaning every two days.
Fresh food, small selection. Neither water nor alcohol are included in the dinner price - for an additional fee.
Wellness area operates at half capacity until 18.30 (Jacuzzi does not work, although filled with water, sauna heats up to a maximum of 70 degrees in the middle of the day. We were unable to get into the hammam (you are a welcome guest there only if you buy paid services)).

Situated high, it is very difficult to get to the beach and back on foot. There is a shuttle to the sea, until 17.30.
It seems that the hotel is for those who prefer a quiet holiday by the pool.

Stay here sep 24 beautiful hotel we were on block in 700s good size rooms had everything we needed and what a view 3 pools plenty of sun bed didnt try food as we went down to village every night but buffet and pool bar and coffee shop taxi was £5 free shuttle bus till 5 every day there service bus every hour

Stayed in room 223 and the views are stunning. Being an early riser enjoyed the most memorable sunrises. Went self catering which is basic but manageable. 2 ring electric hob and a microwave. Let’s get the negatives out of the way first, and some of them are pathetic but might matter to somebody. The Wi-Fi is designed for maximum coverage OUTSIDE, therefore it works on the balcony but not in the room. So if you’re thinking of bringing a fire stick rent a wifi box in advance, you won’t get one in Turunc. The location of the hotel is designed to connect with nature which means a 20 minute walk downhill on a very winding road.The free bus starts at 10am last bus back is 5:30 pm and taxis are 200TL. The hotel restaurant and bars are expensive compared to town, but you are a captive audience so you pays your money and you takes your choice. If you’re coming late season BRING A TORCH. Negatives out of the way, told you they were pathetic, let’s get on to the positives. The rooms are spotless, good beds great pillows. Great shower and a spa bath. Big fridge and reasonable size freezer compartment. Kitchen equipment is ok, if you have a favourite knife bring it. It’s up to you if you tell your other knives they’re not going on holiday. The pool is a good size and deep, plenty of sun beds. No “boom boom music” at the pool , the other day it was actually opera , yep I said opera. Drinks and food service at the poolside is exemplary. Could they improve things ? Wi-Fi upgrade possibly ? More frequent bus to Turunc , definitely. 1 an hour isn’t enough. One last tip and it’s nothing to do with the hotel. Get an early flight from UK. The 16:00 flight from MANCHESTER gets you to the hotel at 02:00 local time, and the roads from Dalaman to Turunc are a bit hairemscarem around midnight. All things considered this is great hotel, and I’d recommend it. Thank you Loryma Resort for a wonderful week. Ps. Angela is a star, but then again all of the staff are brilliant. You know they’ve got things right when the staff are almost invisible but everything works. It doesn’t happen by chance you know

It's a nice facility. It's an advantage that the rooms have kitchens.

The view of the hotel is very beautiful. The open buffet breakfast also has enough meat. Pool size is good. Depending on the location of your room and its distance from the lobby and dining area, this may be a problem if you are a family with children. P. The resort has free yoga classes on Wednesday and Friday mornings. There is also a live music evening every two nights. The road to Turunçun is very winding. It has nothing to do with the hotel but should be taken into consideration
