Ongoing Disappointment During My Stay – Serious Staff Issues I’m currently staying at this hotel, and while there are a few positives worth noting, I’ve unfortunately experienced several issues—particularly with the behaviour of certain staff members—that have left me deeply disappointed. To begin with the good: I want to highlight Samet and Mustafa, two staff members who have been consistently polite and helpful. Their professional attitude stands out and is genuinely appreciated, especially in contrast to others here. That said, there are ongoing issues that are hard to overlook. The rooms are quite small, which isn’t ideal, but the biggest concern for me right now is the situation around the pool. There is only one pool available, which is simply not enough given the number of guests. It’s nearly impossible to find a free sunbed, as many are reserved with towels for hours on end. Most hotels I’ve stayed at enforce a policy to prevent this kind of behaviour, but here, it’s being ignored. The poolside is often sticky due to spilled drinks, and the sunbeds are packed so closely together that there’s very little personal space—it’s uncomfortable, to say the least. But the most upsetting part of my stay so far has been the treatment I’ve received from two staff members: Cengizhan and Rezide. I’m travelling with my one-year-old son and, earlier, I was unable to carry both a Diet Coke and an espresso along with my child and his pushchair. I politely asked Cengizhan if he could help me carry the drinks to the table. His response? A dismissive shrug and “we have no staff.” No attempt to help, no kindness, just an abrupt refusal. I didn’t push the issue and sat down in the reception area. A bit later, I saw a member of staff named Rezide serving drinks nearby. I politely signalled to her, hoping to ask for an espresso. She looked directly at me and ignored me. I tried again when she passed by a second time—again she saw and heard me clearly, and again she walked off without a word. I understand not everyone may speak English, but basic courtesy—acknowledging a guest or getting a colleague to assist—should still be expected. I raised these concerns at the front desk, and while the reception staff acknowledged the behaviour was wrong, they excused it by saying Rezide doesn’t speak English. Even if true, it doesn’t excuse ignoring a guest who is clearly trying to communicate in a polite and non-disruptive way. What made matters worse was my interaction with Cengizhan afterward. I returned to the lobby to ask for his name, still carrying my son, and was met with a confrontational, aggressive attitude. He came face to face with me and spoke in a hostile manner, which was incredibly unsettling. The manager was called and did ask him to apologise, which he did—but in a sarcastic, insincere tone, once again getting too close and speaking aggressively.
