I am writing for my parents (77 years)who visited this resort. They enjoyed the quite setting, the 2 pools and the food they really loved. Just to inform:The place is remote and it took 1,5 to get there from the airport. The rooms are simpel and what is disappointing is that in lots of reviews you read people "complaining" about the high beds and that there are not enough chairs etc. In reactions...

I spent 5 days in this hotel. The hotel is located in a beach which is quiet and has a significant change of tide, during low tide is not possible to swim. The beach is clean and the sea is beautiful. An advantage to this hotel is that it is not in a touristic area hence less hassle from sellers and people offering things all the time as in the other beaches. The area is quiet, so you have to think...

Plus: the staff, food, setup, familiarity, coziness, pools. Big minus: the difference between high and low tides is 3 meters. 6 hours a day there is no sea to swim. The sea water is overheated, full of seaweed and garbage items. This is due to the reef being like a kilometer away and blocking water exchange. This hotel is no good for beach and sea lovers.

We had a very nice welcome to this beautiful Hotel. Staff are very friendly. The Breakfast is very good with a lot of different food. Also, dinner was very varied some nights there was traditional cooking or bbq. The cocktails were delicious as well and served on the beach! We were thrilled that we had booked all-inclusive. We slept like babies. This hotel is recommendable!

The hotel is in a quiet location right next to the beach. Excellent wifi by African standards, constant electricity, air conditioning. Breakfast in the form of a buffet, which is also not common in Africa. Pleasant staff, helpful staff at the reception, where they exchange money for local currency. We were so lucky to stay at Nest Style and we were completely satisfied! From the first step when entering to the last step when leaving, everything was perfect! The staff so friendly and helpful! Wow…such a holiday!! If you’re looking for a nice, natural and quiet place where to spend your holiday in Zanzibar, Ujamaa is the right place! Me and my family (3 kids) are already missing the environment of this place and all the super nice guys at the bar and restaurant…Isaac, Martin and the girls have been always so nice, introducing us in Tanzanian culture and serving good cocktails and great food...

Ideal place to relax and enjoy the beach. The staff is extremely kind and friendly. The rooms were thoughtfully equipped with the perfect amenities for the beach. To top it all, great cocktails and delicious seafood!

Ujamaa is so relaxed, so fresh, so friendly. When we had a medical issue, the owner kept in touch every day to ask how it was and offered to take us to the medical post day or night (and he did! We had such a great stay at Blue Moon - our every need was taken care of. Our very own private pool with floating breakfast was definitely the highlight! It's very private and secluded. The best hotel you can stay in Zanzibar! I've been to many hotels on the island, but this is the one me and my wife like the most. The suite with its own swimming pool is magic and the brand new deck out over the sea is unbelievable. Last but not the least, great food at restaurant!! Everything was amazing, the staff is wonderful, the food is delicious, the rooms are big and clean. The perfect atmosphere for a relaxing holiday with a wonderful jetty that takes your breath away. The hotel offers many activities like excursions and watersports that I highly recommend. The best hotel in Zanzibar!

The place is impressive and quite beautiful. The food wasn't too bad although the breakfast could be improved. You have to sign a document saying you won't bring in outside food or drink and are then charged 5 dollars a beer when they're like 1 or 2 dollars at other hotels and restaurants. Having visited lots and lots of different accommodations throughout the world, the Reef & Beach resort in Zanzibar is one to be remembered. The service was excellent; from housekeeping to guest relations. The whole resort was clean and full of surprises (in a good way!). I want to thank the staff for the experience.

Just got back from a two week stay at this lovely hotel. Travelled solo and had a great time , all the staff were very welcoming and i felt totally safe . Everything was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel. The food is delicious, the breakfast is very complete, and the rooms are super super-full. The only downside is that you can hear the room next door, so when it's time to sleep, you can hear if the others aren't sleeping. Wanted something different and quiet from the north side and enjoyed my time here for some rest and relaxation. Going out to the beach in low tide was excellent.

Solo travel I truly enjoyed my stay at Coral Rock. It was a beautiful intimate location. The staff went above and beyond making sure I enjoyed my trip since I was traveling solo. I loved the design and attention to detail. I’m already planning my return.

The place is a true definition of a beach front🏝️, well located on the beautiful beach of Jambiani. I am here to review the restaurant. We ordered fresh juice, one passion, one watermelon and one pineapple. It took forever, but in the end it was the most delicious juice, I have had on the island. My friends agree. The service was poor. But the drinks made up for it.

Visít 3 Times during holiday. Fitst time the food was excellent, but second and 3rd time we had to wait fir 2 pizza more than an hour. Our pizzas where too sport in the oven and wheŕe not crispy enough :(

Wonderful Italian restaurant with proper Italian food, Italian music and Italian speaking local servers. It’s pretty busy at night time. I suggest to make a reservation beforehand. The food is absolutely delicious. I recommend their pizzas! They’re offering accommodations with a terrace, an outdoor pool and free WiFi which works very well!

We have stayed there in June 2017. Beautiful hotel with beautiful people. Not to mention the food - I think it was the best in the whole Zanzibar. At least for us at that time. Such a lovely place to stay 😍 it gave me the vibes I was after .... right on the beach , palm trees , beautiful big pool facing the ocean, delicious food however breakfast could have beeb better. Exceeded expectations, a perfect place to disconnect! Clean, cozy rooms and a beautiful, small hotel complex. You can stay here for a while. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The adjacent beach had warm, clear water and if you didn't swim too far out, you could swim without the risk of sea urchins. Delicious, fresh breakfast buffet. We had a really pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and helpful whenever we needed something. Breakfasts were ok but I got bored over the selection in 3 days…In terms of main courses, I have not had a better spaghetti carbonara in a long time. Beautiful small hotel with only about 10 bungalows. Very relaxed and calm atmosphere. Daily impeccable cleaning. The bungalows don't have proper curtains, doors or windows so we felt a lack of privacy in the rooms. Swimming in the ocean was possible in the morning and late afternoon (mid December). I stayed at Mandarin Hotel for 20 days for business. The food, rooms, and location of the hotel are very good. It is a very good choice for a seaside and quiet holiday. There is music and entertainment at night. Most importantly, the staff is very friendly. See you next time.
