Amaan Beach Bungalows

Everything was fine until we realized our room had another door leading to another room. This meant zero privacy and you can literally hear what’s happening in the next room.

The hotel is just average

The only positive thing I can mention is the location.
The rooms and furniture are long overdue for renovation and replacement. No kettle and early check-out (10am).

The rooms are all very old, the plumbing is all bad, the air conditioners are old and sometimes don't work, the staff is constantly doing something outside, rolling their carts with a rumble, and also talking loudly to each other and it is impossible to be in the room or near the pool, since the staff is constantly doing something. There is no peace in the hotel, and all thanks to the staff. They cheat and do not return the deposit for towels! The only plus is the location of the hotel, since it has its own exit to the beach. But when you go out to the beach you are attacked by Masai and other people with excursions! It's a wild hell!

It is a nice and clean place, especially if you have a room facing the sea the view is stunning. The room's interior is beautiful, but very basic. The beds are good, yet a bit short. The service is friendly but very slow. The breakfast is ok but below standard, also the food ordered from the menu doesn't go beyond "ok". Avoid breakfast boxes prepared by the hotel to take along on an excursion. They are the lowest standard I've ever come across. The cocktails offered during happy hours are "interesting". One is urged to pay all bills in USD, instead of Tanzanian Shilling. TZS are accepted for cash payments only, if paying by credit card only USD is accepted (hello? I'm in Tanzania, not in the U.S.). But this seems standard in all restaurants located on the shoreline. The laundry service is cheap, but not good, as shirts come back with stains on them. Once you hit the beach you are immediately surrounded by local "beach boys", dressed as Massai, and offering you all kinds of services and goods. You won't have much peace unless you go for a swim. There you only need to watch out for jet skis and motor boats.

I personally think that the area is very peaceful and mindful. Slay! However, compared to the price of stay per night; I could have got better accommodation options in Asia. The bathroom was okay and the room facility was also not splendid for the price. On the other hand, it has a nice swimming pool close to the beach.

In conclusion, the value for money is not satisfactory.
