Mahali Zanzibar

The location was fantastic, right in the heart of Paje with a pool going right onto the beach, the staff were super friendly. The food at the restaurant was amazing, we ate here most days. Reception were really helpful when I discovered Id left a bag at my previous hotel and they called the hotel for me and offered to arrange a driver. Whist the people were very friendly, the service at breakfast and in the beach bar was terrible. If you didn't catch their eye when you walked in, you had no hope. This didn't stop us eating in the beach bar as the food was fantastic but every time we sat for ages, waited ages for drinks, had to ask for menu's, chase up food etc. This was not us being impatient, e.g. we ordered drinks, there were two other tables in the bar, it took 20 minutes to bring two drinks. At least twice we waited 40 minutes for food. There were a couple of really good waiters but if they were not on, you knew it would be a disaster. They need to be more proactive, looking around rather than huddling by the serving hatch. Also if you have any mobility issues at all, or even a push chair, this place and Paje in general is not for you.

Our two-night stay at Mahali Zanzibar was nothing short of enchanting. Nestled in the heart of Paje, this resort offers a tranquil beachfront experience with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. The rooms were spacious and immaculately clean, with comfortable beds that ensured a restful sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making every effort to ensure our stay was memorable.

The resort's restaurant served delicious meals with stunning ocean views, while the cozy beach bar was perfect for relaxing with a cocktail. The private beach and pool area provided serene spots to unwind. With its beautiful setting and excellent service, Mahali Zanzibar is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway in Zanzibar.

Mahali is very nice with different chill spots. The place and especially the staff (Jery) make it 5 stars. They give you a very welcoming feeling. Also, the beers are the cheapest and have the best cocktails! (Made by Jery) Even if you don't stay at the hotel (like we didn't) it's a great spot to enjoy the beach!

We recently stayed at Mahali and had a fantastic experience! The location is perfect, right a at the beach. The hotel is clean and comfortable. A special thank you to Asha, Maureen and Veronica in the reception, and Anifa, Wifi, Zena, Dorcas and Elizabeth from the service team—they were incredibly attentive and made our stay memorable. Great rest stop after a long safari. All the rooms are large with a balcony and great view. Food at the beach bar was great. Pool was clean and well maintained. Service was excellent. 'Happiness' is an excellent server. Jessica gave the most amazing massages. We would definitely return..

Great stay at Mahali, right in the center of Paje. Very clean, comfortable rooms, excellent restaurant and bar, wonderful staff! We would definitely come back!

We stayed at Mahali for a week and it was wonderful. The rooms are clean and have well functioning AC, the pool and views are great, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is good too! Prices are reasonable. Overall, highly recommend.

The Stay was incredible, the staff we're so friendly, polite and genuine. Couldn't recommend enough! The pool, room, food, facilities were all fantastic but the staff really made it a special stay especially Neeme, she was just so lovely and attentive and even offered us a complimentary couples massage.

The location is perfect right next to the beach. The rooms are a bit old, they need to be renovated. The service was amazing, they really know how to take care of their guests
