It's hard to describe this hotel other than a scam. So be warned!
We had reserved a week in a beach front villa over the X-mas holidays. Upon arrival sitting with a welcome drink we received a cancellation notice on our phones. Our reservation was done and payed 10 months prior arrival and we ordered transfer via the resort 1 month prior arrival. After several attempt to reasoning with management they drove us off to another resort, handed us the keys to a room wayback of the resort and wanted 4x the price.
After 6,5 hours of negotiation we got the price down to the original. I can see in other comments that we are not alone with this awful experience. You have been warned!

This hotel and all the accommodations are fantastic.. The location is one of the best in Zanzibar. I'm traveling all over the world and I'm very impressed. If you want to relax and recover, don't hesitate to reserve, Charles, the General Manager, will give you all the satisfaction.

Beautifull place, friendly staff, nice facilities, when you stay here you can use the kayaks and snorkeling equipment. (Nice snorkeling at the Reef in front of the hotel)

Very nice place and it is very calm, the staff are so friendly, i had a tuna steak with chips , was fantastic.

Amazing views. Surrounded by beach front. Good restaurant and lovely rooms. Its a bit remote but worth the drive. Two swimming pools. Boat excursions to local island sites. Reasonable prices and nice staff.

Very nice place and the beach is awesome. The service is excellent and the staff is very friendly. Mr Charles, the manager, is super friendly. The rooms are well planned. The only issue I find is the restaurant which has to improve. If it wasn't for the restaurant the stars would be 5..
