Star Island Resort and Club - Near Disney

Good location, good for larger groups of people. However, do not expect much from their customer service staff as some are unfriendly and others are just too lazy to help. I can however sympathize as the problem appears to exist with the lower management that use them as their scapegoats to avoid confrontation over their own decisions. Their prices are competitive but you pay for what you get. Unfortunately, this is pretty typical for these types of resorts, especially during summer months.

Three stars for price, location and amenities. The two left would have been for:
- cleanliness (no intermittent cleaning service), - service (see above)

My wife and I picked this hotel mostly because it was close to Disney World and overall it's not too bad but I doubt we'll be staying there again anytime soon. When we came there I wasn't that impressed w/the room and the bathtub/Jacuzzi was small. The staff were very helpful but what sucked is that we had to put a $200 deposit because they're afraid that we're going to destroy their resort. But as far as visiting Florida again that we will. We just won't go back there again. The staff did their jobs and I respect them for that. On a personal note I have seen hotels much better than what we got. On a business note there's always room for improvement and if they can improve then we'll talk.

Great location and value for the price. Beds were comfortable. Kids loved the pools and outdoor games (chess, mini golf, playground).
