Howard Johnson by Wyndham Pasadena

Hotel is across from Pasadena City College and very conveniently located near downtown Pasadena. Price is fair and rooms are very clean and quiet. This is my third time hear.

It's not that you are likely to drive past the entrance multiple times. And there is no back way to get into the hotel. However, once you get inside you'll find a nice small courtyard to park in, which is probably fairly safe. You have to be careful which spot you choose if you're driving a larger vehicle. The rooms feel like you've just stepped into a Howard Johnson's hotel from the 1970s. Some very nice yet new orange Decor will bring back a lot of childhood memories. This app is pretty nice. I had to take away a star though for the fact that they only had bowls at breakfast time this morning. It's really hard to make your own big waffle in and try to figure out how to eat it from the tiny Bowl. The breakfast overall is very good and you can choose to have eggs if you are into the protein breakfast or you can go into the carbohydrate world if that's your thing.

No real complaints, everything was as expected (the only real "issue" was some slightly audible guests next door clearly having a "good time" late at night). Room was good, shower spacious (but low water pressure, not sure that's the hotel's fault or if it's for water conservation). Free breakfast was basic fare, hotel was in easy walking distance to restaurants. Vending machines were surprisingly affordable. There was a laundry room for guests but I didn't need to use it. Overall recommended.

Pleasantly Surprised!!! This location passed my cleaning expectations and inspection!!! I arrived on a very wet and rainy day. I was so hesitant because of the reviews posting of bed bugs and uncleanliness. So I made sure to bring the parents Mother of all Mothers cleaning and sanitation kit. Not to exclude my massive steaming machine. I never start a dirty battle that I can't win!! Was so worried because one of my daughter is imunocompromised, has severe allergies, sensitive skin, and asthma.
The moment we entered, I did not allow my kids to move from that couch till I steamed the entire floors, bathroom, kitchenette, and bedrooms, and they stood while I did the sofa. I Sanitized everything from head to toe. Unwrapped all bedding, cushions, and pillows to inspect for bed bugs etc. I was shocked. The laminated wood floors were squeaky clean, no mites, no bugs, no Bed Bugs, no evidence or smell of any insect infestation whatsoever. The path we tracked in was the only floor dirt I was able to pick up on the complimentary white cleaning towels. It was lil mud in from outdoor rain. See images. This was only spot where I managed to picked up traces of dirt from the floor. The complimentary white cleaning towels they provide were heaven sent. The path me and my kids walked in from the door to the sofa was where the traces of dirt appeared. I then continued used the other complimentary wiping towels as a door mat and wiped our shoes and removed shoes by entrance each time, clean!
I proceeded to check and inspect all bedding and cushions and to a lovely surprise, it was old but in extremely clean and in mint conditions. See images of cushions, no black specks, eggs, and not even stains! Only the bedroom pillows gave the essence of grandmas house lol. Other than that, my OCD and Germaphobia scanners resulted no red flags. I was so relieved and impressed by how clean our room was. More light dirt I did pick up with white wiping towels/disinfectant spray were from the light switches. I am very OCD and I wipe everything! The light switches picked up the most dirt evidence, as well as the hand blow dryer. This would be my only recommendation to the cleaning crew. Is to remember to wipe the light switches and the blow dryer. The entire staff was so sweet and did their best to accommodate me and my needs. No racism here either! Free breakfast. Safe parking and attentive night staff. The view of the foothills are beautiful as well. Respectively quiet and pleasant location. Great for special needs, disability, elderly, solo women/men travelers, families.

Rent to Arroyo down the street from here first and was immediately looking for a different night elsewhere. I walked through the door in relief to Tommie who is an amazing man. Thank you so much Ronnie Tommie and Howard Johnson for hiring him! Thank you for the great night and service! A very nice room and it was perfect!

Comfortable hotel near downtown Pasadena with good connections by public transportation or car to downtown Los Angeles. The room was spacious with a separate TV viewing area, fridge, and microwave. The bathroom and the separate sink area were clean and comfortable. The king-size bed was worn down on one side and was drooping. The included breakfast was on the meager side. There were no hot items, except for warm boiled eggs. Overall, the motel is a decent choice for a weekend stay.

Location was great, right across from the community College. We got the 2 bedroom suite it comes with a refrigerator and microwave which most travelers need especially when you have a baby and kids. AC was great. Room were clean.

The room is really clean, staff was really nice, and breakfast was delicious. It's really quiet. I would definitely recommend!
