Great river views, would not have wanted a city view or lower floor. Restaurant had very good food. Because we were there when it wasn’t a busy time of year we enjoyed the pool and hot tub very much. Floor to ceiling windows with a view. But not much space if it were crowded. Good experience all around. Best located hotel for what we were looking for.
I can't say much about the rooms since we got the most economic one possible. It's an ada room. It's very clean and seems very accessible. I don't know that the shower is accessible as it should be. It does have a couple inches of a soft rubber bump to get up in the shower. I'm sure the views would be gorgeous for someone that wants to pay for them. the hotel has a couple of nice restaurants and coffee...
We had a great experience this weekend. Stayed two nights with an amazing view of the river. Room wasn’t huge, but very nice with a big and comfortable bed. We were very happy with it. Valet with in and out privileges was $43/ night which was worth it for us as we were in and out all weekend. Front desk were very friendly and welcoming. We would absolutely stay again and hope we got the same view....
The good: the location is good and the service is great. The rooms are clean and the common areas are well appointed and tended. The hotel's bread and butter seems to be conferences and they do a good job. Additionally, the restaurant was really good. The bad: the room we were in was very tired. The beds were soft from age and lacked form. The wallpaper is peeling and stained in places. The bathroom...
Nice hotel. Was very busy when I was there(concert) definitely little pricey but cheaper than some around the stadium. The room was spotless but was little small. Shower was great. Great views from our room had breakfast at their restaurant in morning and it was good food(little pricey) but everyone that worked at this hotel was just great. I'd definitely stay again if needed
We spent a week here for our annual baseball trip. PARKING is stupid. $38 a day, we literally parked around the corner for $20 a day. On top of the $230 a night for our room. My biggest complaint was calling daily for towels. On the 3rd day when we noticed no one had came to our room to make our bed, I called the front desk. I was told they are short staffed and no one will come to your room until...

As soon as your walk in it is beautiful and smells divine. Such friendly staff and they allowed us to check in early. Great working spaces. The bed.... oh was the bed ever lush and comfortable! The shower was heavenly!!! The small added touches like my name on the tv as a welcome and goodbye didn't go unnoticed. We will be staying here everytime we come back to our fave city!
Nice hotel with friendly staff. Convenient to the convention center. Easy ride share trip from the airport and convenient to several nice places to eat and relax after a meeting. The restaurant/bar in the hotel has good food and drinks. The one thing to note is that the Lyft and Uber pickup location tries to go to the side of the building so be sure to specify the front of the hotel in your ride requests
We had our wedding at the Westin and used the rooms for our guests. Our wedding was perfect! Kelly, the sales executive, was super easy to work with, and our day was incredible. The guest rooms were exquisite, and the staff was very professional. Everything about the hotel was amazing!
Hotel room was spacious and clean. Happy to have self-serve parking on-site that didn’t cost a lot. I knocked a star off because the walls are super thin and so I was awakened by our neighbor the one night as I could hear her through the wall. This was Sunday into Monday and the hotel was no longer busy from comic-con I wish they would have spaced guests out more. Lastly, we had a great view up on...
Rooms are a decent size but seem a little over-used. Front desk staff seems constantly understaffed. 5 stars because the fitness center is the best that I have experienced outside of a resort. Has sauna, steam room, great lap pool as well.
My compsby hosted an event with 700 people and it went off without an use. They staff was very accommodating and the food delicious. I recommend this as an event space. There are so many rooms and resources to make your event a success. I'm glad to see this venue throbbing, as I've been going here for 20 years.

the hotel was amazing. the breakfast experience was a disaster with very bad presentation and food missing from the order. A very unpleasant waiter. the hotel staff were very helpful and the hotel was very good value. very good communications
Overall the service was great, but what really put it over the top was the fact that my wife, daughter, and myself were reading the history of the hotel online, then were walking around the hotel looking at the artifacts, when the security guard saw us and invited us for a tour. It was phenomenal, to say the least. We saw things we would have NEVER seen and it made our trip! He should be recognized...
The William Penn Hotel, is one of the gems of Pittsburgh, from the beauty of the lobby, to the hidden pleasures to be found in the Speakeasy, or Tap Room, this hotel has history embedded within its walls. The rooms are all different and reflect the time that this hotel was built, they are clean and have their own distinctive atmosphere. I enjoy the different layouts of rooms that I get every time...
Lovely, historic hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. Ron Gilbert, the Restaurant Manager, was very attentive to my autistic son's food and other special needs and was so pleasant -- he even stopped by our table to say hello. Housekeeping very nice, although it seems you have to make a special request to have your room and beds made up. Sam (that's a lady!) who took care of our room for several days was...
Great Hotel, nice food and good service. Points of attention: - Should inform your email address during check-in so that the Internet access is free, otherwise they'll charge for it. - They don't offer shuttle service to the airport. - If you need to contact them in advance (by email), allow a few days for them to respond (maybe a week). - If you're in a budget avoid taking the cabs (too expensive...
Very nice hotel. Rooms are nice and spacious. If you arrive early they were happy to tag and hold our bags until check-in was available. Short walk to PPG arena. Lobby and lobby bar are a nice area to spend some time. The Tap Room has great beer selection and the chips available there are quite good, server we had twice was fun and entertaining.

For background: elite Marriott member who spends 100+ nights a year as a business and leisure traveler. The property and staff were all absolutely top notch. 5/5 recommend. The staff, location and property itself really makes this a nice place to stay. First, I want to mention and thank a couple staff members by name. Front Office Manager Brad Shaffer was absolutely exceptional. He deftly resolved...
We went there for a wedding. Since it is near ppg, there was an event and all parking was used up. We had to pay $30 to park on a Sunday. The hotel itself was excellent with great atmosphere and service.
The downtown location was very convenient for attending shows at PPG Arena. The room was nice & comfortable with a beautiful view of the city. The bathroom was considerably smaller than other Marriott hotels we have been to. The restaurants within the hotel were really great. The food was so delicious 😋 and the service was very good too. The atmosphere was center city feel to it with a comfortable...
Good location and friendly staff. Parking is a big issue if you have a car (30$ in a parking lot or 40$ for the valet). Security could be improved especially through the garage and elevator access. Room is big and clean. Hotel is quite. Had problem with the AC for 2 days, but the hotel changed my room eventually. Also in the second room i faced the same issue with the AC. I kept calling guest service...
This location had been closed for 2 years. All of the glitches (credit card and room service) haven't been completely worked out yet. But, you can't beat a "Hockey Night in Pittsburgh" with a pregame snacks, $5 Lebatts at the bar, and no traffic hassles. Enjoyed celebrating the win with Pens fans! Mark and Ron went above and beyond to be sure we were happy.
This review is a year late but memorable enough that when I was reviewing a recent stay, I remembered that I had wanted to review Pittsburgh Marriott City Center and never did. I stayed there in fall 2019 for the Mid-Atlantic Popular Culture Association Conference. It's great as a conference hotel because it has the space and amenities without being too pricey - usually I stay at a cheaper place when...

Beautiful view out of our window. Bed was exceptionally comfortable. Could have been a little cooler. Couldn’t get the temperature below 68.
We can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was having our wedding at the Sheraton Station Square. From our very first meeting, to the planning process, to the execution of wedding week prep and wedding day festivities, they were absolutely top notch. At the core of all of this is Courtney, our wedding coordinator at the Sheraton. Professional, knowledgeable, helpful and kind at every...
It is very rare that I write reviews on hotels but I cannot say enough great things about the Sheraton in Pittsburgh! I was there for 3 nights for a work conference. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly (front desk, bartenders, wait staff and housekeeping)! The hotel was very clean, beds were like a dream to sleep in and the shower was really nice and hot! The food was catered everyday and...
We held our wedding reception and room block for our guests here and wow! Everything was excellent- from the front desk staff, to our wedding coordinator Courtney, to our housekeeping services. What a wonderful and memorable experience. Courtney took so much stress out of the day with her organization and willingness to answer absolutely any crazy question that we had. She is remarkable at her job...
CONS: Breakfast is NOT included. It is $22. I had no idea until I was already eating and an employee informed me. There's no signage, no one stopped me. Apparently there was an employee seating people, but there was no "please wait to be seated" sign or anything like that. It was very expensive for a basic eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, etc breakfast and the coffee was not good. Parking is also NOT...
My company MacDonald & Owen came here for a retreat. These are photos of the awesome view from the balcony. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the pool and workout areas were great. The staff was very easy to work with. The Sheraton was right on the river next to the dinner cruise. This was my first time in Pittsburgh. I'd happily return.

Stayed here for a hockey tournament. The drive to the Ice Castle was easy and not that far, maybe 15-20 min. We went to a Pens game and the price of the Uber was reasonable and again, maybe 15-20 min. Stayed here for a family gathering. Staff was super nice. Room was good, really liked the shower vs tub/shower. The desk chair should be replaced. The bistro was brilliant: drinks, snacks, coffee. Pool was very inviting. And very close to downtown Pittsburgh attractions. Highly recommend
It is hard to rate this hotel. The pool area was fun with the hot tub and indoor pool connected to the outdoor pool. The food and service at the restaurant was amazing! But no one picked up when I called the front desk 3 times. The elevators were very slow. Also the tub was dirty with hair in it. They only stocked 3 towels for a room with 2 Queen beds.
Stayed three nights for a convention. Check in was smooth and simple. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The whole facility is clean and well kept. The staff was outstanding. Stayed for a hockey tournament. Staff was super friendly. Checked in and the air conditioning wasn't working in our room. After maintenance stopped and couldn't fix it, they changed our room quickly and then followed up in an hour to make sure we were satisfied with our new room. Hotel was clean with a very nice pool area. As a travel agent, I would highly recommend this hotel for my large groups!...
We got to the hotel sometime after midnight and the receptionist was super nice and quick. Fun fact, they still have warm cookies at hand for such a late hour! I used the business center the next day to print concert tickets with no issues at all. I was really impressed at how big the hotel was! The room was nice and clean. No issues at all with my stay, thank you again!

No carts available upon check in to get our luggage to the room. $30/night for parking. Room smaller than other Hiltons I have stayed at. This is minor but toilet close to the floor-would be an issue for someone taller. Went to the restaurant for dinner and even though half empty, had to wait in the hallway for tables to be cleaned. 1 menu not available and 1 item on the correct menu sold out. Salmon...
This is my goto whenever I have to travel to Pittsburgh for work. Good location overall. The square nearby can range from nice to loud but you never hear any of it from your room. They don't nickel and dime you like the Fairmont does. Just a solid hotel.
We had both excellent and questionable service…Kitchen open until 10pm but refused to take any food orders after 09:30. Bar closed at 10.. on a Friday night, with a full house. On top of that we weren’t allowed to stay in the area to socialize, tvs turned off, lights turned off. As a loyal Hilton Honors Member, I’ve never experienced anything like that - was very disappointed.
Overall, good hotel. I would recommend it. Like all hotels, they decreased the room service to once every 4 days unless you call to request it. It meant by dropping by the front desk in the morning to get some coffee pods, but that's really my only small gripe. Room was clean, nice, and the thermostat worked better than most hotels (I like it cold when I sleep, which wasn't a problem).
It was decent all around. Definitely an older hotel that has been retrofit with newer looks. The room was a little small (but I heard from others that theirs were different). No vent in the bathroom. We were with a wedding that came back to the hotel bar for an "after-party" and the bar could not handle the volume of people with only one bartender which was a bit frustrating at times. The breakfast...
Absolutely amazing hotel! The atmosphere throughout including the lobby, restaurant, and rooms all include a nice warm and welcoming yet luxurious look! Staff are always kind and welcoming. Staying here for a conference at the convention center and this is the good and the bad for sure. On the upside it seemed like there was an effort made to keep things clean and as maintained as possible but this building showed its age in many places. All of the room doors were metal and slammed loudly constantly. The walls were super thin and you could hear people in all the adjoining rooms and...
Hotel beautiful! Valet parking excellent! The guys who parked my car was very nice and helpful. Bed extremely comfortable! Bathroom walls were damaged (see photos). Room layout was nice. Additional parking for those who didn’t want to pay the $30 valet was confusing. Because there were multiple parking garages nearby and the one you couldn’t use the other was underground below the huge UPMC building...
Superb location within walking distance to a lot of tourist attractions, fine restaurants and the convention center. The staff are very courteous and always offer prompt service. The rooms are a little dated, in general. That is probably common with a lot of the other downtown hotels that are located in historic buildings. I had a city view, high floor room, but the windows were extremely unclean...
Overall a good experience. Staff have been nice and helpful all around, including front desk, restaurant, and valets. Speaking of the restaurant, the food is excellent and fairly reasonably priced. Not a huge menu but they seem good at what they do. My suite was nice, almost the size of an apartment. Fridge was tiny - almost useless, and room shows a bit of wear, but isn’t awful. I agree with others...
I've stayed here 4 times and love it! The location is fantastic, the restaurant isn't as good as it used to be but if you order a burger you'll be fine 😊 Rooms definitely need some maintenance. I've stayed here many times. Great location, good breakfast, expensive bar. The rooms are nice and the location is good. Great for business meetings or sports. The subway to the stadium is right across the street. I wish they had balconies and a diamond member lounge. I also don't like they charge 25 dollars a day for parking, but what are you gonna do?
Absolutely especially for PPG Arena The room had been updated and was very clean. The room was surprisingly very quiet and very comfortable. It was very clean. No issues whatsoever. Great hotel. Stayed for a conference. Super well located in downtown. Some of the friendliest hotel staff. Very good rooms. Highly recommended.
Nice rooms and a great location. Only complaint is they start trying to clean your room the morning of checkout whether or not you have actually checked out. 3 times our door opened while we were getting around for the day.
Stayed here at least 5 times total so I think I can make a good review of this hotel. This hotel is mediocre and in need of an update or check over. Light fixtures about to fall out of the ceiling. Bathroom grout is dirty and in need of a deep clean or replaced. The rate is too high. They say they offer breakfast on the app but that is wrong. There is no swimming location or hot tub. Many cheaper locations...
We spent 2 nights at the downtown location. Everything was clean. Room was spacious and orderly. More importantly, the staff was absolutely amazing. Super friendly and helpful. Valet staff was prompt. Thank you for a great stay.
Location was good and staff very helpful. Hotel itself not exceptional, but very good. Bit pricey, but very cheap parking meant it worked out well overall.
The hotel is in a great location, which is convenient to many of the restaurants and shops downtown. Its also very secure inside and all amenities worked, including the water dispenser and laundry room. They also go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay and that the hotel is clean, especially on the days you get housekeeping.

Historic hotel that used to be a night club and the lobby showcases the beauty with a ceiling resembling chapels in Italy. The whole building is just STUNNING! As soon as we stepped in we were treated warmly by the desk clerk. Everything was so detailed and beautiful. Room was not ready at check-in time. Had to wait 45 minutes and ask for a manager to get a room. Dozens of other people were waiting too. Nice hotel in a great location. Luxurious stay with a great view. The Renaissance Pittsburgh is located on the north side of downtown with a great view of the river. Fairly close to lots of dining and a few bars, the location works well to explore downtown or see the city. Overall not a bad hotel - nice location, in walking distance to sporting arenas and restaurants. My biggest complaint was the parking. The hotel's parking garage was "full" unless you were a Hilton Honors Diamond member. Because we were not, we had to park in the lot across the street. We had to lug all of our luggage through an office building, around the corner and down the street. It was a giant...

Had a pretty restful stay here, but two things bothered me. 1) the lack of a shower door pours water onto the bathroom floor, which also made the carpet outside the bathroom wet. This is not sustainable and leaves an odor. 2) The Biergarten wasn’t open until Wednesday. It would have been nice to enjoy that space. Otherwise it was a great experience.
I’m really torn on this review. I want to give five stars but I cannot for three reasons. The bad is a spring mattress with no padding. It is not a five star bed. Overall this was an excellent hotel to stay in. The only downside was that my shower was poorly designed and no matter how I positioned the shower head water would run out of the shower onto the floor. We watched a Pirates game there. Seats near the field are below ground level so you get a very good view of the field. Looks not to have a bad or obstructed seat anywhere. Lots of opportunities to get a foul ball. Lots of activities for young people. Staff was friendly and efficient. Prices for food were reasonable. They had fun activities between innings. A great time.
Always a comfortable stay. Rooms are clean and spacious, beds are comfortable, breakfast and happy hour are included. Front desk staff, will always give a couple free bottles of water when asked, and typically have complementary travel items for the occasional forgotten toothbrush. I don't normally leave reviews. But in this case I just feel it's so necessary! ALL and I mean ALL the staff were extremely polite and very helpful and accommodating! I really appreciated the valet staff being especially patient with us loading and offering to help! The room was exceptionally clean and even smelled super clean when we walked in. It was great having the breakfast and kickback. Also...

I liked your floating concierge, Ananta. God bless him, he was very good. You have a gem of a person; the first face we see of your beautiful hotel.
Didn't stay @ the hotel but ate @ the restaurant, Fl2. Attempted to make a reservation earlier in the day but had to leave a voice message & did not get a response. My date & I showed up when the restaurant opened @ 5. Was told there was a wedding down the hall & the restaurant was completely booked but we could sit in the bar area & order dinner there. We seated ourselves at a small table with low...
Pros: Fairmont Pittsburgh located in heart of Pittsburgh city, very convenient to explore the city. The hotel room had big windows with nice views. Interior decoration also looked nice and chic. They gave us different kinds of pillows from firm to plush. That helped us a lot since I always had problems hotel pillows were too soft. Staffs were nice and helpful. Cons: the bathroom wasn’t clean. We could...
We had a fantastic time at this hotel. Stephanie was great about keeping my room clean and having plenty of towels for me. We were a large group of 10 people with golf bags and luggage. Anatta, Alex, Conor, and Dakota all were great at servicing my odd requests. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in downtown Pittsburgh.
A great, clean, quiet hotel with newer amenities and nice touches overall. Fantastic location right in the heart of the business district. Some rooms (like mine) have views of the baseball stadium.
Lobby is good-looking and lively. Room sizes are larger than average. Soap scent is musk and good. Cons: Sheets are stained and torn. Bathroom lighting is depressing. Hallway and room color scheme is “interesting”

Room was clean and spacious. Some of the room decor was somewhat weathered, but in good shape. Check Very quiet and easily accessible. Room had bathroom essentials and TV. Downside was there there was no fridge or microwave so I couldn't go pick up something frozen from a grocery store. Check in and out was very easy as well. Overall, I'd definitely stay again as it was comfy and very budget-friendly
The hotel location was good. The shower was hot, which is good. The location was quiet and peaceful - no loud people or traffic. No cigarette smoke, which was nice. View outside was nice. So, the bad parts: no free breakfast, there was no microwave or mini fridge - we had to ask for it and then they gave it but the customer service was not too good. The fridge door did not close well. It was old....
Good price. Restaurant in lobby open late. Free shuttle but only one driver so you might have to wait for a trip if you don't want to drive or use a ride share service
The room was neat and clean. The staff was helpful as well. I really enjoyed the little linen spray and lotions. So soothing after a long day on the road.
No complimentary food--not even coffee! No newspaper. Water station in lobby was empty. Bathroom sink too high for short people. Mirror over desk way too high to use. Otherwise clean and comfortable.
Bar totally amazed... Rooms are furnished with advanced laminated decolem, totally it's an recreated park with beautiful scenario. To the visitors I'm glad to suggest to be at Crowns Plaza Pittsburgh for this Christmas or Holiday Seasons.

Staff was efficient and pleasant. Room was nice but air filters need to be changed as there were black marks around the HVAC vents.
Nice room. Big and clean and quiet. There was a fridge, microwave, toaster. The hotel seemed well maintained. The pool is small, but just right for the kids. Didn't see a hot tub. The free hot breakfast was good. The staff that was restocking everything was friendly and let us know more eggs were being made. It was pretty busy in the morning because we there was a baseball game the night before. Parking...
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It is located in the North Shore neighborhood of Pittsburgh, literally across the street from PNC Park. Very safe area and also a few steps from the "T" light rail. Staff are phenomenal, so friendly and helpful. They are easily one of the reasons this is now our "favorite hotel" out of the hundreds we have stayed at. Rooms are clean, spacious, and...
Close to everything worth doing on the North Shore. Free shuttle (3 mile radius) and free breakfast. Parking: $26/night, look for lot directly by the “Entrance” sign, must use key card to enter lot.
Excellent service, free shuttle services and pick ups in any locations within a 3 mile radius, and comfy beds. The stay was extremely convenient.
Very clean, very friendly. Pillows are actually good and don't flatten as soon as you put your head on them. Heating and A.C. seemed a bit off as it was blowing cold air while we had heat on but other and there is a lack of extra blankets in the room. I would definitely stay here again.

Great variety of breakfast items. Room was clean & spacious. Close to highway and bus stop. Plenty of parking available.
First time here and right off the bat the staff I spoke to were very nice and polite. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The price was ok as well. For clarity I choose hotels of this quality for stays payed for by my company. 3 star hotels are the norm but some a better then others and this is one of the better ones in my opinion!
For the most part, I enjoyed my stay. The staff is great - friendly, attentive, helpful... The room was spacious, plenty of lighting, clean. The bed, and floor, make considerable amounts of noise when settling in, or when you walk. (I try to be as silent as possible in the late night or early morning hours). Food offerings were the typical HIExp offerings... Coffee was always there, and hot...
We stayed at this hotel after the football game . It was a pleasant stay, employees were helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was clean. Our boys enjoyed the pool area . They had a good variety of items for breakfast. Breakfast attendants were very friendly . The only thing that we noticed was housekeeping in the room may be a little lacking. the mirror in the room appeared to be sprayed with some...
Elevators are kinda slow, and whatever scent they use in their cleaning supplies is not something I like, but you may be different. The beds and comforters are comfy but my bed creaked a bit. The rooms are spacious, but the walls are thinner than I’d expect for a holiday inn. The staff is friendly. The free breakfast is standard, but mostly they’ll have something for everyone.
For the price I was surprised how big the room was. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The drive to get to places wasn't too bad either. It seems cleaning isn't great in most hotels these days but I clean everywhere we stay anyway. The elevators were a bit sketchy, one was broken when we left (there's only 2). Overall we enjoyed our stay!
