The 4 of us were here for 5 nights visiting family. The gardens, pool and surrounding area are beautifully maintained. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was always a source of discussion as it’s quite different to what we would have in Australia. Lots of choices though and the staff are great! Very quiet location. We had a lower ground, garden facing room and it was lovely! Would definitely...
Great room, great area, friendly staff. Definitely the top of the line of all Best Western hotels I have stayed at. Right off the 101, few miles from the beach in Goleta. And a quick trip to downtown Santa Barbara. Awesome breakfast to top it off too! Highly recommend
Had one of the best night's of sleep. Bed was so comfy. It was just a really nice n cozy stay. Definitely recommend to friends n family.
Comfortable bed and pillows, quiet, beautiful lobby and outdoor area, great full breakfast, nice staff, and one of the more affordable hotels in the expensive area of Santa Barbara. Fanatastic view from the courtyard.
I stayed here for 2 nights for work. The location is decent; easy to get to from the freeway, and there are plenty of stores, restaurants, grocery etc in the surrounding area. The pros are definitely that parking was free and that they include breakfast, which starts at 7am. I also noticed a lot of construction workers stay here. It would be nice if they started breakfast earlier, like maybe 6am or...
This hotel remains one of the best in the area. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast buffet is good. Staff is cordial. The grounds are beautiful. Ample nearby food, groceries and other other stores. Convenient to airport and highway. Only minus was the low water pressure but that is not their fault.

I was truly devastated to find out that almost all of the roads/highways into Santa Barbara were closed due to flooding and hazardous weather. I booked knowing this was a non-refundable reservation and when contacted due to my situation, the hotel was completely understanding and offered to cancel with refund. This my birthday trip and I'm crushed my two day plans are not going to happen but I'm so...
Small rooms but a great view to the beach. Thin walls so you will hear your neighbours and their bathroom fans. A small but nice gym. Pool and hot jacuzzi. Recommended!
Nice place to stay and the location is perfect. Friendly staff at checking in. Car valet costs 30 dollar. There are several restaurant nearby. The room was small but we had a wonderful view. It was not so isolated so you heard the television from the neighbours but I slept well anyhow. The gym is clean, the pool is heated and we also used the bubble bath. We only stayed one night but I would like to...
We stayed here last minute because of some travel issues. We booked on a third party site and got a great deal. Staff at check in were friendly and valet boys were kind. Be prepared to pay $30 for valet overnight as an additional charge. We got to our room and the door was rough, it locked after messing with the lock for serval minutes since the bolts aren’t lined up. Then we notice that there’s a...
Nice option right across from the beach and really close to the pier. The room was smallish for four but was fine for two nights. The pool was well used and clean. The staff was very friendly and answered a number of questions about eating locations. The valet parking worked perfectly. The fire pits are placed throughout the property so there are plenty of options for cozy, evening relaxing.
Wonderful!! Loved this place. They were very good to my furry traveling companion. The date for my check in had been reserved for a week later and they very excellent for switching my days. The room was spotless. Very spacious (room 115) enough for a 95 pound dog to play. Only two things that could be a problem, there isn't A.C. (Windows all open which was great this time of year) and it is pricey...

The restaurant at this resort is amazing. They have the most wonderful views, good service, food and cocktails. We had drinks in the lounge area prior to dinner and then sat on the heated patio to enjoy dinner with a view.
This property really has to be experienced. It is above the city and the main beachfront shopping areas of Santa Barbara, but worth at the very least one night of your time in SB. The property is so classic and over the top on staff attention. The views, the cocktails and food were exceptional. I cannot wait to return. I call this relaxed luxury - don't miss it.
My husband and I just came back from a week at El Encanto and are torn on how to rate the hotel. It was our second stay on the property and some aspects of the resort are truly 5 stars. The grounds and the service are both incredible! It is hard to find a more stunning and thoughtful property in California. Additionally, the staff is best in class. Everyone (and especially their manager Brendan) goes...
It is amazing place for dinner and desserts. This place offers a beautiful panaromic view of Santa Barbara.... Would love to go back there for sunset and sunrise captures ....staff was amazing and friendly ...
Beautiful, cozy and comfortable. One of the best hotel stays I have had in all my travels. Fantastic amenities, wonderful staff, be sure to check out this hotel during your stay in Santa Barbara.
Amazing views of Santa Barbara and the coast from this nicely perched location. Great food and dedicated service staff make this an activity to experience if you come to Santa Barbara. Secluded, swanky and inviting describe this place. Brunch is amazing and includes bottomless champagne [of course], a sharing plate, an entree, and a desert bar to top it all off.

We enjoyed the accommodations very much. The room was clean and newly remodeled. The bed was really comfortable. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a peaceful nights rest.
Needed a break from everyday ruckus. Decided on a whim to go to SB. The stay was exactly what was needed. The receptionist was easy to talk to, and thry made sure to give us information on the town. And what we could do for fun. The rooms were clean and spacious, it was very modern. Loved how close this was to the funk zone. Would love to come back.
The service by Joel at the front desk was incredible. While in the lobby he attended to a guest needing waters and bandaids. He served this customer with care and inquired if he needed any additional assistance. The dog show was in town however the rooms were clean and well maintained and the multitude of dogs was a welcome treat. Always great to stay at this beautiful location.
The rooms were reasonably clean and comfortable. Parking is tight, and most of the rooms require going up and down stairs (though there is an elevator at the end of the building, parking can be an issue there). The recently renovated rooms are comfortable, and the balconies are nice and quieter than expected - though the rooms around the pool might be noisy at times. My main issue was the lack of water...
Amazing Value! Renovated! Great Location! Santa Barbara is pretty expensive so finding a hotel for a reasonable price, that’s decent is hard. This place is in the heart of everything and across from a shopping mall. The balcony faces the courtyard, which has a fire pit and pool that gives a cozy look. You really can’t go wrong with booking here.
Hotel was great, the pool was probably the highlight for me as I rarely see 8ft pools that are also very warm to swim at night. Very clean and well maintained the rooms as well. I do wish they have 2 more EV charging spots in the future but great rooms and great services for the price in the area.

Older hotel, but the room appeared to be totally renovated. Beautiful bathroom , all new furniture, working outlets by bed, new sliding door and screen that could actually slide easily, large balcony overlooking pool. Entire room, including balcony furniture, was spotless. Onsite restaurant was great for breakfast. We ordered an omelet online the night before, walked over and picked it up, and ate...
It was a pleasant short term stay. The rooms are relatively small and the queen beds are just okay for an adult, so keep that in mind if you are opting for the place. That said, the staff is warm. Pretty nice housekeeping, and the place is located in a safer and quiet neighborhood. The rooms are equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave, we didn't try the home service but it's fine and the options...
It might be the nicest Best Western we've stayed in. Customer service was great, room was huge and nice (slightly dated decor) and location was great with plenty of food options within walking distance. A wonderful place to stay on your way through Santa Barbara.
Beautiful motel centrally located in a lovely neighborhood. We chose this place for our 25th Anniversary getaway. Loved everything about it -- except the bed, which was unfortunately way too hard & very uncomfortable so we couldn't get enough sleep, leaving us both tired, sore, & unrefreshed the next day. This was frustrating and puzzling, as everything else we experienced here was fantastic. Why not...
Very nice hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. The rooms are spaced out and very comfortable. There was no noise from the roads and I could not hear neighbours. Breakfast is not included but the café/restaurant on site is good.

Rooms a tad small but have nice bathrooms. $15 for parking which is asinine. Pool and hot tub clean but crowded. The putting green is a nice touch. Expensive for what you get overall.
May I just say… After being treated like a 3rd class citizen by Caesar’s Palace Last week - it is such a breath of fresh air to be somewhere they treat you very well, have very nice rooms, and have plenty reasonable food and drink options on-site and within walking distance!!! Thanks Marriott, always a pleasure!!!
Nice hotel, clean rooms, spacious fitness center, but very high prices. They wouldn't honor the government room rate because they said they were too busy.
The place is nice and clean, but overpriced for the rooms and amenities. They charge for parking $15/day. Makes no sense when there is plenty of spaces. The workers are 50/50 nice and not nice. The electric charging station, there is only one spot. The rate is about 0.35/kwh at the time I saw it. There is a Tesla supercharger and Electrify in the plaze north of the hotel.
I had a wonderful time at this hotel. Everyone was really nice, specially Paulina from de front desk. The Bistro’s breakfast is really good.

Great place for dinner for special occasion. It's really on the pricey side, but the food was outstanding. I had short ribs...so tasty. The appetizer was sooo good, as was dessert. Servers were kind and professional.
One of the highlights of the area, I’ve always had a good experience here. An exhaustive wine and cocktail list will leave you fulfilled and although Google may not tell you this, they’ve got a fully fledged vegetarian/vegan menu and tonnes of option for black swans like me. Top notch service and great atmosphere, expect to leave this establishment fully fed and not bloated.
Elegant in a subtle way. Don’t let the “Ranch” name fool you. This is a five star resort with all the amenities. My favorite place to become one with nature and reflect💕 and enjoy great wine and food

Generally had a good experience here on the trip to Santa Barbara. The room is clean, quiet though a bit dated. It also has complimentary breakfast. It's about 10 mins drive to downtown area with many good restaurants.
Pros: Clean rooms very nice and helpful staff members. Cons: Breakfast: They provide a variety of options like omelette, cereal, oatmeal, muffins, cream cheese and butter. However, the quality of what they make in their kitchen is below average. The restroom area in the rooms are not fully separable from the rest of the room, without proper ventilation.
Very nice faculty in a slightly rougher area than many expect. If you decide to go for a walk. Like typical California, homeless is an issue with a shelter and outreach locations within a block of the location. Other shops are definitely aimed at lower income demographics, so it's likely you will want to drive rather than walk for services. Breakfast was very good, and the hotel itself was generally...
Wonderful hotel! Located hidden inside a parking lot. From the street view the hotel appears to look like apartments, but upon entering the parking lot, you can definitely know you're at the Hampton Inn. The Hampton app was a bit confusing to use, so we directly check-in at the front desk. The two ladies greeted us with water and snacks and thanked us for being Hilton Honers members. My husband and...
I had an overall good experience living out of this hotel for one month. Nice gym, more than one treadmill and plenty of weights for multiple people to work out. We recently visited Santa Barbara for the first time, moving our daughter into UCSB. We booked this hotel because of its location downtown. WE WERE NOT disappointed! Great location, rooms are very basic for the expensive price. Staff was nice and helpful. Free coffee and tea in the morning and infused water in the afternoon.
So in truth I did not stay at the hotel, they contacted me a few days ahead of my scheduled days letting know that there were renovations going on and that my room would be affected so I wouldn't be able to stay. However, due to the circumstances, they did offer to pay for an adjacent Hilton hotel covering ALL EXPENSES! I felt that they went above and beyond in accommodating my needs given I would...
Celebrating a wedding anniversary this weekend , we made a last minute decision to book at SBH! What a great experience. The hotel is right on State st. Walking distance to all! Great hotel in a really great location. So much within walking distance. We had a family emergency during our stay and had to leave early and the staff was very accommodating and made a difficult time much less stressful. Can’t say enough about how good the staff was! Spacious well equipped bedroom, scenic balcony view over swimming pool courtyard. Well located with the option of taking a bus to the sea front. Plenty of restaurants and diners within walking range.
Really great location and room for the price. I stayed in the pool view king room and it was huge! We had our own little patio view of the pool and the accommodation in the room was clean and up to my standards for this 3 star hotel. It was quiet, clean, safe, accessible, and complete with the things you'll need. I gave it 4 stars because it was overall better than what we were expecting.
A nice discovery. I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel in the summer of 2022 as I used it as a base to explore Santa Barbara. Very good location, just a few minutes drive from the beach and the center. The room was very large and very nice. Very high level of cleanliness. Only flaw was not including breakfast.
This classy and cozy little gem is by far the very best. No issue with extra pillows or towels what so ever . Clean and crisp at every turn and corner . The staff is courteous and attentive to all your needs and wants. The Crocodile restaurant is excellent and makes it easy to be completely satisfied without ever leaving the grounds. I would love to stay here again and am happy I am here right now...
Booked this inn on my California road trip. Was not expecting much and yet was pleasantly surprised. Nice clean rooms, nice patio area, great pool/hot tub area, amazing staff, extremely fair rates. Stay here was so good we booked an additional night because we just didn't want to leave!
Simple but solid motel little bit outside of the city centre of Santa Barbara. The common areas like pool and restaurant are nice. Rooms are quite spacious, clean and simple. Don't expect something extraordinary but it's a motel. Prices vary super much, especially weekdays versus weekend.

Stayed here for two nights and it was very pleasant. My main complaint is that the wifi wasn't the best, it was pretty slow so I had to go somewhere else for wifi. The walls were also very thin so I could hear everything that was going on outside or in the room next to me. Everything else about my stay was nice though, I would stay here again. For the price being on the low end, it was worth it.
I had the best stay at The Sandpiper Lodge!! The employees & manager at the front desk were extremely polite & helpful!! The rooms were nicely furnished and the beds super comfy. I highly recommend anyone visiting Santa Barbara for business or pleasure to stay here, you definitely will not regret it...
The room was old, warm, and smelled musty. The bathroom window was open when we got in the room. The coffee pot is in the bathroom sink area where you are to get ready in the morning and there are only enough plug ins for two things. I expect a coffee maker in the room, I like my morning coffee in the room, perhaps on the balcony. Then the...

We loved our stay at the Waterman! Yes, the rooms are not big, but they are beautiful, clean & the bed is super comfortable! The common kitchen & big table are perfect for a snack, a coffee/tea (free!) or even cooking yourself something! And the free poker chips to get glasses of rose/beer are a nice touch! On top of that, the hotel is perfectly situated, 5 minutes walking from the pedestrian street...
We got a pool pass. It was such a good plan! The staff is so nice. They gave us a complimentary glass of wine and a beer. The pool is not big but my boyfriend and I were the only ones for an entire afternoon ☀️🥳🥳🥳🥳
From the staff to the location to the comfy beds, I was so impressed with the Waterman Hotel. I would 100% cone back to stay here because you cannot beat the location for the price, beautiful pool and other helpful amenities like the full shared kitchen. You can walk to all of the great spots around the Funk Zone for breakfast, drinks and dinner.
My husband and I stayed here during his business trip. Perfect location in the Funk Zone and just a 10-15 minute walk to down town Santa Barbara. The staff were extremely friendly and aimed to assist me with whatever queries I had. There is a huge kitchen near reception where you can prepare and cook your own meals should you wish, and a large communal table for guests. We had a large room on the...
This was the perfect spot to stay in the Funk Zone. It was easy access to everything! The service was amazing. I accidentally dropped a bottle of wine in the lobby. I felt so horrible that I made a mess. The GM cleaned everything up and replaced my bottle of wine with one of theirs. It was top notch service. I would 100% stay here again!

We decided to go to Santa Barbara and chose this hotel, I am glad we did. Was right next to check-in. It was a big room with two queen size beds. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. Dan. The front desk guy was exceptional. If I go back to Santa Barbara, I will definitely stay here
I love this place, the rooms are clean and cute, they have a nice courtyard area to sit and enjoy some free wine and cheese they serve in the evening. Best part is that this hotel is pet friendly. The location is great, walking distance to everything in the downtown area. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Perfect place to get away with your doggy. The only con is the rooms get a little warm during...
travelled solo, no car. here are my thoughts. ✨ pros | the room is a no frills, comfortable living space. felt soooo peaceful being right out front in the greenery. nice/friendly staff who let me check in early and check out late. they have non-vegan breakfast and wine and cheese there which is niceee for everyone except for me. 😭(jealous) beautiful lush greenery(especially for photographers and...
This was our favorite place to stay during our week-long vacation to California. The plants around the hotel are tropical and beautiful, and the vibe is very laid-back, classy, and relaxing. We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and downtown, both of which were within walking distance. The staff at Casa Del Mar were helpful, friendly, and kind. My husband and I enjoyed the cheese and wine...
very clean, the room was very aesthetically pleasing, the location is within a short walking distance from west beach, and i’m glad we stayed here for our trip. they even had a cute little nook with a window and a chair to read in.
Rooms could be better but for the price it is great. Close to everything, free breakfast and complimentary Wine every night.
