The 4 of us were here for 5 nights visiting family. The gardens, pool and surrounding area are beautifully maintained. Nice option right across from the beach and really close to the pier. The room was smallish for four but was fine for two nights. The pool was well used and clean. The staff was very friendly and answered a number of questions about eating locations. The valet parking worked perfectly. The fire pits are placed throughout the property so there are plenty of options for cozy, evening relaxing.

The restaurant at this resort is amazing. They have the most wonderful views, good service, food and cocktails. We had drinks in the lounge area prior to dinner and then sat on the heated patio to enjoy dinner with a view.

This property really has to be experienced. It is above the city and the main beachfront shopping areas of Santa Barbara, but worth at the very least one night of your time in SB. Amazing views of Santa Barbara and the coast from this nicely perched location. Great food and dedicated service staff make this an activity to experience if you come to Santa Barbara. Needed a break from everyday ruckus. Decided on a whim to go to SB. The stay was exactly what was needed. The receptionist was easy to talk to, and thry made sure to give us information on the town. Amazing Value! Renovated! Great Location! Santa Barbara is pretty expensive so finding a hotel for a reasonable price, that’s decent is hard. This place is in the heart of everything and across from a shopping mall. The balcony faces the courtyard, which has a fire pit and pool that gives a cozy look. May I just say… After being treated like a 3rd class citizen by Caesar’s Palace Last week - it is such a breath of fresh air to be somewhere they treat you very well, have very nice rooms, and have plenty reasonable food and drink options on-site and within walking distance!!! Nice hotel, clean rooms, spacious fitness center, but very high prices. They wouldn't honor the government room rate because they said they were too busy.

The place is nice and clean, but overpriced for the rooms and amenities. They charge for parking $15/day. Makes no sense when there is plenty of spaces. The workers are 50/50 nice and not nice. The electric charging station, there is only one spot. The rate is about 0.35/kwh at the time I saw it. There is a Tesla supercharger and Electrify in the plaze north of the hotel.

One of the highlights of the area, I’ve always had a good experience here. An exhaustive wine and cocktail list will leave you fulfilled and although Google may not tell you this, they’ve got a fully fledged vegetarian/vegan menu and tonnes of option for black swans like me. We had our own little patio view of the pool and the accommodation in the room was clean and up to my standards for this 3 star hotel. A nice discovery. I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel in the summer of 2022 as I used it as a base to explore Santa Barbara. Simple but solid motel little bit outside of the city centre of Santa Barbara. The common areas like pool and restaurant are nice. Rooms are quite spacious, clean and simple. Don't expect something extraordinary but it's a motel. Prices vary super much, especially weekdays versus weekend.

Stayed here for two nights and it was very pleasant. My main complaint is that the wifi wasn't the best, it was pretty slow so I had to go somewhere else for wifi. The walls were also very thin so I could hear everything that was going on outside or in the room next to me. Everything else about my stay was nice though, I would stay here again. For the price being on the low end, it was worth it.

Beautiful hotel and wonderful location right across from the beach. We enjoyed our stay, the rooms were clean and staff were friendly. The restaurant on site was great as well food was delicious. I did feel like it was expensive and overpriced but that’s consistent throughout the Santa Barbara area.

We had booked with another hotel but they couldn't fit our vehicle. We ended up here only by chance and it was so much better! Joseph was excellent in getting us a last minute reservation. The room was spacious, bedding was super soft and the beach access was perfect. The breakfast was outstanding. This turned out for the best. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at the Waterman! Yes, the rooms are not big, but they are beautiful, clean & the bed is super comfortable! From the staff to the location to the comfy beds, I was so impressed with the Waterman Hotel. I would 100% cone back to stay here because you cannot beat the location for the price, beautiful pool and other helpful amenities like the full shared kitchen. This was the perfect spot to stay in the Funk Zone. It was easy access to everything! The service was amazing. I accidentally dropped a bottle of wine in the lobby. I felt so horrible that I made a mess. The GM cleaned everything up and replaced my bottle of wine with one of theirs. It was top notch service. I would 100% stay here again!
