Andaz - A Concept by Hyatt Hotel

This hotel has the most friendliest staff. I love the rooms and the French doors in the King suite. The happy hour, along with wine samples, is a great touch! There's only two things that I would like to change,. Since your hotel is pet friendly, please keep the guest with pets on the first floor where they have better access to outdoor. No pets should be allowed around the dining area, or where food is served. This location is idea for getting to restaurants and shopping.

I stayed in the courtyard view suite on a business trip. It was very big and beautiful! The room is clean and the service staff is very friendly. Snacks and drinks are free.

Nice hotel

It is in the perfect spot to walk and tour the historic downtown. Great breakfast and meals. The hosts and doorman were delightful people to interact with, our issue was with housekeeping. Upon arrival at our room, there was a pizza box with a bitten pizza in our fridge. As we accommodated ourselves, there was no paper towels, conditioner and no toilet paper restock. I knew then, our room wasn’t properly serviced. When speaking with the housekeepers, they infused tension because they were young and so were we. In other words, they didn’t respect us. I asked for a towel, and the young woman replied “your housekeeper is floor below us” - basically implying to wait until I get serviced. They weren’t rude, but they weren’t nice either.
When I called to get toilet paper, or our shutters door fixed (they never opened) no one ever came. I can safely say the young workers were lazy, I come downstairs to find them huddled up in a group talking and chit chatting.
Otherwise, I did enjoy my trip and did not let the lack of immediate service ruin our day. I suggest they do a check list before rendering a room to a guest AND maybe even have a supervisor check it. And if you are young, be prepared to deal with the young workers, it is a pride issue for them, but I was always kind.

Great location in the heart of the historic district, literally a block from the waterfront. Room had nice touches, like a full kitchen and complimentary non-alcoholic drinks. Be careful when the front desk tells you that your room includes 'free drinks'. They don't mean from the full bar 5 ft. away but they mean a local beer or cup of wine from the stock behind the front desk.

Great central location. The service was very attentive, and food at our group meeting was very good. Construction was underway on an upper floor but it didn't interfere. I thought the room needed more lights, and less "Decor" effects. The desk area was to high to use as they put the fridge under it, unless you brought a tall stool to sit on. The shower was just a step in tiled offset shower with no curtain. My room did not have a tub.

Beautiful location, highly walkable. Reception was very nice when I arrived late after a long day. My room was comfortable but snug and had a few quirks. The time on the fancy clock radio was wildly incorrect and figuring out how to fix it was challenging. The shower head was adjustable for height and angle but the angle tension was worn out so the head just drooped and sprayed water on the wall. I was leaving early that morning so no time to get it fixed. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were happy to find me a to go cup for coffee.

The Andaz properties in NYC are both a bit more polished overall but stylistically the family resemblance is clear. I'd love to spend more time in Savannah and would certainly make an effort to stay at the Andaz for more than 7 hours and get a better sense of the place.

We really enjoyed this hotel. Our room type was unavailable so the young lady at the front desk was so nice she upgraded us to a suite and comped our breakfast. Excellent customer service!
