DoubleTree by Hilton Tucson-Reid Park
Tucson, 445 South Alvernon Way 🧭 Map
friendly staff, spotlessly clean, lovely room, tasty breakfast, great sports bar and reasonably priced
It's a hidden gem in Tucson. I drive there from Phoenix to do my Spa day. The premises is quiet, clean and very good maintained. The pool is heated and the jacuzzi just perfect. The staff is very nice and helpful. The little gift shop actually has items you need or look for! Still love it even after 8 years:-))))
I stayed here one night for business and the location was decent, only a couple miles from lots of food and a mall with a theater. Price was also very good The hotel itself is large with plenty of parking. There's also a restaurant on site. I didn't interact with staff much, but they were friendly when I did. It would easily have been 4-5 star for me if the room hadn't been so worn down/dirty. The...
Was a little worried when we first arrived but the rooms are very nice and clean. The bathroom I'm our building was updated and really nice. The courtyard is beautiful with all the orange trees. Very close to reid park zoo. Service was good and the food in the restaurant in the hotel was good and reasonable.
The hotel was like a resort, reminded us of being at the beach. Most rooms had sliding doors with it's own patio facing a center courtyard and pool area. Our room was nice however the floors/carpets haven't been cleaned in some time. They do not have an executive lounge which the Hilton Honors app stated they did, a little disappointed because that is always a selling point for me. Overall satisfied...
Really nice hotel in a great area of Tucson. Lots to do, with restaurants and pool on site and Reid Park Zoo within walking distance. Great service, nice clean rooms, and quiet. Perfect for business travel. I will be back on my next trip to Tucson.

Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites
Tucson, 5151 East Grant Road 🧭 Map
This Sheraton was a great experience. A huge courtyard with pool and jacuzzi are the center. All the rooms arranged around the court yard. Easy to get around, clean rooms, polite and friendly staff with all the amenities you need. The rooms are spacious and smoke free.
I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the hotel. It's better than most in the Sheraton brand when it comes to cleanliness and general state of repair.
They've done a good job upgrading this hotel (if it wasn't recently upgraded, they do a phenomenal job with upkeep!). It has a very fresh, modern feel to it, including a curved LCD TV in the bedroom (see pics). I see complaints from other reviews...
Newly upgraded room was lovely but the new design withheld a microwave and the mini fridge was too small to house more than a few soda cans. Definitely couldn't hold even one to go container which I guess is ok since you have no way to reheat anyway. Given we were in a suite, I expected more. Especially since we had stayed previously and had both a microwave and a decent sized mini fridge
The rooms are nicely decorated and very new and comfy. Nice pool and outside areas with fire pits. I enjoy a balcony and this place really doesn't have them but overall a pleasant stay.
They decorate this place to be a nice hotel and the staff is kind and treats you like you're staying at a nice hotel; however the rooms are not as clean as you'd expect them to be. The carpets need a good shampoo, and the bathroom looks like it could use a good scrub down. The elevator on our floor sometimes just wouldn't come, which is frustrating with luggage. Decent hotel, but for the price you...
I had a great experience here. The little outside area by the pool is really nice to hang out in after dark. The pool is quite nice too.

Ramada by Wyndham Viscount Suites Tucson East
Tucson, 4855 East Broadway 🧭 Map
No iron and ironing board. Couldn't see when I entered to room. No light switch by the door. When I found the light switch the lights did not come on. I had to stumble around until I found the lamp and switch. Limited TV stations and very fuzzy. Breakfast bar was wondderful. Bed was a was awesome. Be careful with the toilet it may rock when you sit down and get up.
It's a nice hotel. 4 stars because it's a little dated, but the breakfast buffet was really good (better selection than you'd expect, and an omelette bar as well) the pool was fine for the kids, and they we're out friendly. All in all it was comfortable and we'll worth the low price we paid to stay.
This fading beauty is more of a resort than a hotel with spacious suites, a large outdoor pool area, restaurant and fountains in the bright central courtyard. The included breakfast buffet was one of the best- with a nice mix of Hispanic and Western favourites, along with a fresh custom while-you-wait omelette station, all served in the bright airy inner courtyard. The rooms were clean and comfortable...
The rates are reasonable. Staff is friendly. There is a bar and restaurant here too which is always convenient. Parking is adequate and handicap parking is quite close.
Only real issue, at least in the room we have, is there is a rather strong air of dampness or mildew. Odd as this is in Tucson. The room is a ground level room and is partially below street level. This is probably something to keep...
Hotel lobby is beautiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good price on room. Room was a suite and bed was very comfortable. The room could use some upgrading but was nice. I walked down to gym and pool area there is plenty of work out equipment and the pool area was very nice and clean. Next time to eat so I head over to the hotel bar and grill. I'm in luck its happy hour with free chips and...
Went here for my dads retirement party. He rented out a banquet hall and hired a company to cater the food. We were treated with respect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we rented out was spacious and clean. The party was great and i had a wonderful time. Its a beautiful hotel.

Fantastic service. Fast check in and even received an upgrade to the Presidential Suite. Stunning views of downtown and gorgeous sunset.
This hotel is brand new and you feel if the moment you walk in!
Fantastic cocktail bar and great amenities. Would stay again without a doubt.
Reception was wonderful even changing our room because I did not want a roof view. Pool was not my favorite. Has a lazy river (w/tubes) but small pool itself. No steps to sit on. No shade. Room is sufficient. Defines thin walls though!! Planes and person next door (TV or loud conversation) kept us from sleeping past 6am. (Not morning people). Bed and cleanliness were good. Didn't try the breakfast...
A wonderful place to stay from the arrival to the departure. Leornard at the front desk was very kind and welcoming. Excellent food at dinner! Our waiter Shawn made it even more enjoyable with knowledge and friendliness! Recommend trying the Hell or Heaven Margarita!! Our room was very clean and the bed was cozy! Next time we visit Tucson we will stay here again!
4.5 stars. I flew in on business from the northeast and arrived 3 hrs. before check-in. I was given a room and was grateful. Staff always polite, friendly and deferential. Food excellent, not pricey and great value. Room rate almost half what I paid a month prior in Florida as a "snowbird". Hotel only a year old - still sparkles. If my stay was connected to the convention center, my rating would...
Overall great hotel. I actually slept well with their pillows. The staff are nice and professional. Room service also does an excellent job and goes around daily and the pool and workout facility are super awesome. My only complaint is with general maintenance. Fire alarm was low on battery, super noisy door to the bathroom, and a constant lingering smell of bonfire on the 5th floor from the restaurant...

Best thing about this place is the fitness center. It’s very nice and it was a lifesaver for me. Staff was also friendly. Rooms are nice. Biggest downside is that it is VERY noisy!! Depending on who you get in the room above you or next to you, you could get very little rest. I stayed 7 nights and several of those nights I got very little sleep because of thin walls/ceilings/floors. Slamming doors...
My mother and I have stayed several times, given it's close proximity to her Dr's. It's a great value, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. However, there is no handicap accessibility from the parking lot to the rooms. It's a struggle to get a wheelchair or walker from the car to the room. In some rooms, the placement of the beds makes it nearly impossible to get a wheelchair into the room. Ground...
Everything was good. But if I had to say negatives, it would be-
1. The blinds were see through. Like if someone walked by, they could totally see me laying on my bed in my underwear. I had to shut the bathroom door every time I used it, even though I was by myself in the room. If someone walked by with my bathroom door open, they'd 100% see me(using the toilet or getting out of the shower). Nuff said...
Rooms were clean, smelt good. Location is fantastic. Felt safe and it was relatively quiet. Could use 2 more towels in the room as they only provide 2. Light fixtures were kinda dusty. Otherwise fantastic stay and would recommend.
One of the BEST hotel experiences iv ever had! SO affordable but also amazingly clean and spacious. The staff were all absolutely amazing I felt so comfortable asking anything and felt so welcomed. Didn’t get to use the pool but it looked beautiful as well as the hot tub and mini golf.
P.S. Please let the staff member who was working the check in at 3am on 9/16/2024 that she is absolutely amazing at...
This place was really nice! Room was one of the remodels and it was very nice! The shower was great I want on at my house now. The pool was heated but not too hot it was refreshing. The only reason it gets 4 stars is the bathroom light kept turning on by its self and the shower was finicky to get the temp right. Still I would, and probably will, stay here again!

My experience was amazing, from beginning to end. The cost of a room for three people (on a Friday, no less) was quite decent. Breakfast included a wide array of options, including cereal, waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausages, and more...
Clean hotel. The rooms around the pool area are bit noisy. Not very sound resistant. The breakfast area is nice but crowded so get there early. The staff was very friendly. We did enjoy our stay. If you have children, they will enjoy the pool. There is a social get together every night at the pool area. There is also a bar at the pool as well. The location is convenient for many area attractions.
My stay at this Best Western was fantastic. I was pleased with the amount of space as well as the level of comfort in our room. Our bathroom was well stocked with towels and toiletries, and there were plenty of outlets for our electronic devices. The pool and hot tub were very relaxing and the complimentry breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located around a many restaurants. I would recommend this...
Very average hotel. Room is semi updated. But if you're going to update, why not do it all the way? Noisy by the pool in the afternoon due to workers pounding and sawing. Also housekeeping in our room wasn't complete until after 3:00. During booking process I requested extra blankets and pillows, which were not in the room when we arrived. Had to request a second time. Breakfast is average for...
Overall we were quite happy with our stay here. We had a room overlooking the pool area. Room was quiet and clean. Breakfast was good - we were there when a tour group hit the breakfast room so it was super crowded but not that big of a deal. There is always an excellent experience in Marriott family. The kids enjoyed the pool and the room was very clean and comfortable. My wife only complain about not continental breakfast, I personally never wake up that early any more.
The place was really great. However when we came home, I called for the shuttle to pick us up and the phone just rang and rang. As we got I to the taxi we saw the shuttle, by then we were in and already upset the cab driver with such a short run, aka not a no at maker for him.
This hotel is quite nice. An unexpected feature was my first floor room had a patio door that fully opened. It's a really nice touch when most of the time you're lucky to have a window that opens more than a couple inches. The room was reasonably clean and quiet. There was some very slight noise from the airport...nothing that would even wake a light sleeper. I didn't hear any noise from upstairs but...
Good solid Marriott. I'm a huge fan of the brand, but this one isn't top of the list. The dining area left a lot to be desired. I am a Marriott Rewards member, and I'm usually very impressed with the staff. Unfortunately, this time was the exception to the rule. Definitely better than the other options in the area.
We had a wonderful stay! Beds and linens were perfect. We had a great nights sleep?! The hotel consierge, Chrishan, who will no doubt become a hotel manager in the Marriott system was the perfect host! He made sure we had a great room and assisted us with our breakfast order and gave directions to key points of interest !

Amazing hotel! They have a good layout and the lobby is beautiful. The price is perfect, the staff are very helpful, and also happy.
The room I stayed in was furnished well and had a microwave and fridge that worked well. Other guests enjoyed the pool immensely. The parking lot was also easy to navigate, even with a large moving truck.
The location is a bit into the city, but is quiet.

Hotel had the most unusual layout ever. The pool was huge and best part of everything was the balcony that faced the pool. It was awesome. Staff wasn't the friendliest.
Great location for a quick drive to many places. Walking distance to Reid park with walking trail, playgrounds, and ponds. Clean rooms and hotel with an amazing breakfast available. Friendly and helpful staff. Housekeeping does a wonderful job.
This place is just beautiful! I honestly forgot we we're in the middle of Tuscon! The landscaping and rooms and restaurant all make for a very calming experience. And the staff are all great! I have used this hotel almost exclusively on my visits to Tucson. Sadly in recent stays the quality of service, the comfort of the rooms, the recognition of an "Elite Rewards" member, the quality of breakfast has decreased to the extent that my review has dropped from a 5-star to a 3-star. This has been recent and could be attributed to a change in management if that indeed did occur. Regardless...
Nice clean hotel. It's an older hotel building, but they've done a good job of updating everything to modern standards. Free parking and some of the spots are covered, which is very important in the Summer. Has an attached restaurant/bar, but I didn't try it. Free hot breakfast in the mornings. Free wifi. Friendly staff. This place isn't going to "wow" you, but it's a solid place to stay.

The experience and rooms were nice until we went down for breakfast I didn’t get a name but whoever was working behind the breakfast bar wasn’t very nice or helpful with suggestions or anything, she wasn’t friendly or hospitable. Seemed like she just wanted to be off work. Not too impressed.
Nice hotel room. Comfortable. Large tv. A/C is very noisy. No microwave, just a very small mini fridge. Pool and hot tub are very nice. Staff was excellent.
Staff was friendly, room was clean and area was nice. The bed was very stiff, the walls were very thin and the AC unit sounded like a jackhammer. Overall, I'd stay again because cleanliness was top-notch and the AC could have been a single room issue. Just be prepared to potentially have loud neighbors.
Tv has Netflix. That was awesome. Beds are conformable. Cozy sitting areas in the room. No great views though.
Very nice, clean hotel. The housekeeping staff is top notch and very passionate about their jobs. If you are one that would rather not bring your own products, this hotel offers Paul Mitchell. Five stars for the hotel itself, minus one for the unexpected nightly drag race soundtrack.

The woman checking us in noticed I was very pregnant and moved us to a more accessible room adjacent to an elevator. I also loved how spacious the rooms were and easy to navigate. The property was very clean. Awesome location.
Room was nice, location was good, near University and not far from I10, no complimentary breakfast, but several options for sale. Shower was odd, you had to be practically inside of it to turn it on. Good stay, would definitely stay again.
Pleasant, clean, reasonably-priced hotel with great location close to campus and free parking (although parking is scheduled to go to $6 per day). Breakfast is custom-prepared and priced a la carte.
I have stayed here a couple of times personally and have also utilized their conference room a couple of times professionally. The staff is great - very helpful and pleasant to work with. They did everything possible to get the conference room all set up with A/V and arrange the room for my event.

Didn't know what to expect but ended up loving the decor of both the public areas as well as the room--very unique. One of those places built in the 1970s so the rooms are huge. They are fully updated on the interior, fridge, micro
-all new and matching - with SUPER comfortable beds. It was so nice that I stayed an extra night just to rest.
You walk through an interior hallway to get to your room, but another holdover from the 70s is that the room has large sliding glass doors and you can park outside of it. You...
This hotel was so nice, and very clean. The staff is more than happy to accommodate your needs and the beds are extremely comfortable. I slept like i was a year old again and the view was not terrible at all! I got a nice overlook of tucson and the mountains. The breakfast was equally as appetizing and delicious! A highly recommended choice of hotel in Tucson if you ask me!
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Well located, good price for what you get. Don't expect top of the line, but the rooms are perfectly clean. Friendly staff. Only negative point (for me) is the allowed pets on the premises which are allowed to pee in the grass in the courtyard and secondly the apparently allowed smoking in the courtyard and near the pool. Rooms are smoke free. Would stay again for a short stay.
Great staff, food and clean rooms. Staff was so caring when my poodle got lost and helped in every way they could. Pet friendly is always a plus. I always stay here when in az.
