I stay in a lot of hotels, and this hotel was cool, but there were just a few things that could have been better

First off, the service here is excellent - everyone is very professional and the Valet team is excellent, and very helpful

The location is good, and fairly convenient, but you really do need the Valet - there is no parking nearby. For those walking, the Innovation Quarter is under construction, so the entire block behind the hotel is under construction, and there is no street parking. The construction isn't loud or anything - just inconvenient and in the way.

The room itself was alright - I love the historic feeling of the building, but becuase it is historic, it's quite creaky, and you can hear a lot of the other patrons.

My particular shower wasn't the best, but it was fine. The beds are very comfortable

Overall a good stay in a good part of Downtown, with good staff

Nice room, comfortable linens. Exceptionally quiet considering the downtown location. Would have loved a small refrigerator in the room. Front desk attendant Blaze is wonderful, kind, and most understanding! Thanks for your smile and the hospitality, Blaze!

Hotel Indigo Winston-Salem Downtown is a stylish and comfortable place to stay in the heart of the city. The hotel's modern design and attention to detail create a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, ensuring a restful stay. The staff is courteous and goes out of their way to make your visit memorable. With its central location, this hotel is an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers.

This hotel is HOT GARBAGE. We arrived around 10pm and despite having the office door open it took the night attendant a full 10 minutes to acknowledge us. The valet had to get them up off their a** to help. When we got to our room we found human hair on the pillows, peanuts strewn about, finger nail clippings, the sink and bathroom mirror had not been cleaned, the floor boards were covered in filth, and there was a pile of hair in the corner of the bathroom. We left immediately because I am pregnant and we have a 2 year old and I could not handle how dirty this place is. I have called to speak with management 10+ times to get a refund and they have never called me back. You would think that you would at least get an apology for giving a guest a nasty room. To date I have not received an apology or a refund for a room that I did not sleep in. Oh and they charged us for valet parking and our car is in their lot for less than 20 minutes.

We booked here because it was dog friendly. The staff was VERY kind at every interaction, however this hotel is a parking nightmare with a public deck blocks down and no real spots to pull up for valet.

My biggest complaint is that this hotel is incredibly noisy. The walls are paper thin. We were put next to the ice maker (fine, no biggie until someone gets ice in the middle of the night) and the elevator (fine except the comings and goings every hour during the night). But the worst was a couple down the hall screamed at each other for HOURS. Well after midnight, I gave up and called the front desk. The guest services gentleman was very kind, but he had no security to assist him with an escalating situation. The price+noise+parking has left me uninterested in revisiting this location despite the helpful and kind personnel.

A stylish, modern hotel. Centrally located in Winston Salem. Helpful staff. Housekeeping team particularly cheerful and generous with fresh towels etc. Good value for money. Having stayed in a few hotels in WS this is certainly top of the list and I would definitely recommend.

Great location, but no parking. They have valet until midnight. The hotel is very nice. The bar when you walk in is gorgeous! The room we had, had a view. The hotel vibe is eclectic with vibrant colors. The room was clean, hard wood floors, on the smaller size for the price but it was very nice. We didn't have a dog, but they are a dog friendly hotel, with treats in the lobby for your fur babies. I would stay there again.

A favorite downtown hotel, mid century modern leaning interiors in a former commercial banking building. Spacious rooms with tall ceilings, 7-ft solid wood doors, roomy bathrooms, and comfortable mattresses and bedding. Being that the building is from a previous era where quality construction was more common, the rooms are fairly quiet.

A fine meal can be had at the restaurant downstairs if you oder wisely. Being a hotel restaurant, the menu ponders to the average traveler, however, there are a few interesting items. I prefer the spacious bar area versus table seating, as the recessed overhead lighting near the tables are insensitivity too bright, and of a higher color temperature.

First the positives. We were checked in by a nice young man who was very friendly and efficient. We usually stay at the Cardinal but decided to try this sister property for our short two night stay. The lobby space is nice and includes a bar and restaurant. Our room was clean and nicely furnished.
Now the negatives. We were informed at check in the entire restaurant was unavailable due to a private function, no big deal but it would have been handy. We booked a room that “included breakfast”. In reality that equated to a $20 coupon towards breakfast for two people. Total misrepresentation. Let’s talk about that breakfast at Sir Winston’s. I ordered “French toast with strawberry compote, whipped maple cream and maple syrup”. I received a large plate of French toast but asked the server where the compote & maple cream were. She pointed out a drizzle of pink on the plate. It could best be described as watered down strawberry jam. Unless you tasted it by itself there was no strawberry flavor on the entree. No explanation about the missing maple cream. I only ate one half slice. When she came back to ask if we were all set for the check (never came by to refill drinks) she asked if I didn’t like my breakfast. She apologized but the entree was not removed from our bill. Housekeeping as far as I could tell just threw the bed blanket up to the pillows, emptied the trash, refilled coffee pods and coffee cups and collected the tip. Dirty towels not picked up, no clean towels and a sloppy bed. Not what I’d expect that this hotel. Be aware valet parking takes forever. There is only one valet and the lot must be some distance away. On the morning of our checkout it took 25 minutes to get our car. Not a great start to an 11 hour road trip. Also, no bell services. And to top it off I noticed on the emailed receipt we were charged for three nights of valet parking for a two night stay!
As for me I’ll pay the few extra dollars and stay at the Cardinal where everything is top notch and they really take care of you.

Fabulous hotel. Only stayed 1 night but would have happily stayed longer. The hotel is very clean and smells great. The rooms were a great size with very tall ceilings and the beds were super comfy. Very conveniently located downtown and staff was very friendly. There is a restaurant/bar downstairs that looked very nice.

The high ceilings were nice and the bed+pillows were very comfortable. The cleaning of the room wasn't very thorough as we found a juul pod next to the bed. I was disappointed they didn't have a fridge in the room and water pressure in the shower wasn't great. I was thankful, however, that they were dog friendly for a reasonable one time fee. Service at the front desk was always pleasant and the location was ideal for walking around downtown!
