The Hotel Windsor

Architecturally stunning, fabulous location, hotel could do with some tasteful modernisation, the only hotel I’ve stayed in with a Pillow menu!

Old fashioned. Large rooms but very noisy night. Secondary but not double glazed. Heard trams outside , bottles being emptied in to bins .. Breakfast slow and ordinary.

Wonderful old style hotel, spacious beautiful room, crispy clean  linens, breakfast room, huge, sunny, unbeatable location, polite really nice receptionist. Would definitely stay again.

And air conditioning is too loud

Cons:
Not offering slippers and toothpaste until I call them
Haven’t received my bond after checking out and it’s been a week
The sanitary worker barged in my room even when I hung a don’t disturb sign on the doorknob

Amazing 5 star service

Our family had a wonderful winter wedding at The Windsor. Those who stayed there loved it. The wedding in the Grand Ballroom was perfect. Great food, reasonably priced. The Cricketers Arms bar and breakfast room were terrific. Above all the service was professional, friendly and welcoming. Thanks so much.

From the time we arrived until we left we had the most fantastic experience. We stayed 2 nights in a lovely deluxe room to celebrate my 70th birthday. We enjoyed daily delicious breakfasts, 2 elegant High Teas & our daughter joined us for dinner at the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a bottle of wine and delectable chocolates plus a pretty card. I also received special birthday plate greetings at the High Tea & dinner. The service from everyone was excellent. Thank you for making my 70th so memorable. :)

I had afternoon tea here last New Year's Eve! It was divine!! Great service, friendly staff. Food was scrumptious! Old school and perfect. Looking forward to coming back!! 😀

I came to Melbourne for my Musical Goddess’ Hamer Hall anniversary concert. I decided to treat myself with a Sojourn at the Hotel Windsor as I had such a lovely experience last year. Second stay didn’t disappoint. Also had Afternoon Tea…

Thank you for a lovely experience for my friend’s and my birthday celebration. The food was absolutely gorgeous and despite not breakfasting in readiness, we still struggled to consume it all. Our servers were wonderful! And I love that the Hotel Windsor gives the experience its proper name, not calling it High Tea, as many incorrectly do! I’m a historian so it really annoys me. I look forward to experiencing Afternoon Tea with you again!
