Crown Metropol Melbourne
Melbourne, Whiteman Street, 8 🧭 Map
It's a great hotel as far as the location, but the room itself is very dated. Sofa is all saggy. The toilet doesn't even have a bidet. I think it used to have some sort of bedside clock or something, and the cable is left hanging.
The Crown Metropol is a great hotel central to everything and the service is just great. Would recommend it.
Quite disappointed that the inroom service has not provide complimentary bottle drink waters.
Very good hotel but we had an issue locating the main entrance upon arrival, so we alighted at the basement carpark near the ******. Very cozy environment and very functionable. The view was stunning. The beds are comfortable but a bit high for my mum as she is not so tall. We asked for an additional chair as there were 4 of us but only 1 chair, which never arrived. It would also be good if the shower...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Christmas Day service!
Huge thanks to Anisha at Grand Hyatt Melbourne restuarant for her incredible service on Christmas morning. I want to pass on my compliments to the wonderful team at Grand Hyatt Melbourne!
My few days as your guest were fantastic. I want to highlight the professionalism of Mark, who prepared the room for me, and thanks for the good work of housekeeper Harsh, who perfectly fulfilled all my requests. Great job, guys. Keep it up!
Your attention to detail gives this business a sense of true hospitality.
Exceptional Stay at the Melbourne Hyatt
I had a fantastic stay at the Hyatt in Melbourne. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth, welcoming, and professional.

A five-star experience through and through! The staff were helpful and kind, the facilities clean and modern. My room was beautiful with great amenities and a comfortable bed. Service can be better for a 5 star hotel. Amenities wise is awesome, rooms were big 👍🏻
Sure will come again when travel Melbourne next time! Super comfy 👍
Not a 5 star hotel, anymore. Booked for 7nights though I only need 5nights as early check in and late check out aren’t available, but that’s ok, I understand it’s business and I don’t mind it.

Friendly service from the front office, easy to access
Good location and friendly staff, but overall very ordinary. Overpriced hotel, breakfast, and car park. Rooms are clean but really need an upgrade — a décor refresh is needed. We stayed in a corner room but it was pretty useless.
No tea coffee or milk or sugar
Guest services were amazing and bought right up
We had a pleasant stay at crown melbourne hotel. Clean and location is very good. Easy access to the city. Free tram zone just across the hotel. Can travel anywhere within melbourne easily.
good location good view to see
A great place for a city stay. Lovely service, clean and convenient. Only downside was that their hotel restaurant was not operating and that no room service was available. Otherwise, a great stay!

Great location, excellent service, and very clean.
Everything is modern and professional service with nice staff.
Reception was ready to receive us with a smile even though it was wee hours in the morning due to a delayed flight. Room service was quick and the food delicious. Room was clean and comfortable. Rain shower was very welcomed. All in all, 10/10.
A bit of a wait to check in. Breakfast buffet ok but not as wide a range or the quality of the best. Satisfactory stay but not a 5 star establishment. Solid 4 stars.
We really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and quiet, and we liked being just a little out of the hustle and bustle of the city but it was just a short walk away. The staff were helpful and friendly, parking was easy and we will rebook there next time we have a stay in Melbourne.

This hotel was exceptional. Cleanliness and service was through the roof. All I can say is we’ll definitely be back and this will probably be the only hotel we’l ever stay in in Melbourne. The breakfast buffet is so so good too!
Stayed here during a business trip. The room was pleasant, neat and well-designed. The bathroom was lovely, but wish the shower had a door or something so then we didn't have a cold breeze while showering.
The lighting in the room was gentle, just wish you didn't need the room card for lighting (I didn't realise it was needed at first ha!).

We had an incredible honeymoon/conference experience. The servers in the restaurant were incredible (especially Jen and Morgan). The front desk, concierge and housekeeping staff were amazing. We stayed 5 days and would have stayed longer! It was a real vacation. The buffet breakfast was incredible and so was the in-room dining. 10/10
Perfect location close to plenty of shops and restaurants. Our room is gorgeous and definitely what we needed after a long trip. Staff were very friendly and attentive and views were stunning! Dock 37 breakfast buffet was needed after a big night out and food was great. We would definitely book again

The hotel is old though it is well maintained. The pool and sauna have a nice view of the city. Location wise, it is on the opposite site of the Yarra River to Flinders Street station, so does require a short walk to get into the cbd. The rooms are dated but clean - I think they do need an update.
The earlier check-in service after long fright, is great experience !!!

Spa didn’t work, pool was smaller than expected. Guest services kept giving us inactivated cards for the lift. Tv chrome cast didn’t work. Breakfast had no teaspoons, had to ask 2 waiters to get it. Long time to check out (for all guests at 11am) and $5 for a bottle of water. 5* hotel, should be complimentary?

The hotel is located at a fantastic location and our twin room was pretty huge with a small kitchenette. Overall, the stay was pleasant but the room cleaning took a little too long. On 2 days, we left the notification to make up room when we went out but when we got back several hours later, the room was still not cleaned. Otherwise would have gotten a 5 star rating.
Worst hotel experience for me!! Never give them your credit card details as they just charge whatever they want!
They took my credit card for $400 security deposit when I checked in which is fair. I checked my credit card after I have checked out and saw my credit card got charged another 3xx AUD. We went back and asked the receptionist in person and were told that the charge was for the stay....

Nice hotel with great location right in the middle of the city. There’s lots of great restaurants with just short walking distance nearby. However, the room we stayed was a bit old and small. Overall, this hotel might not have the best value of money it but if you are looking for somewhere that’s easy to access the restau, bars, you can stay stay here
Thank you Crown Plaza Melbourne. It was great stay. We were there for the exhibition. Closed to the exhibition hall. Good amenities. Strongly recommend for the business trip.

The apartment is clean but a bit outdated. Overall, I will return to stay again
My family and I enjoyed our recent stay at Citadines on Burke Melbourne. The standout positives were:
1. Staff Service: Check-in was excellent. The staff were warm, professional, and very helpful, setting a welcoming tone immediately.
2. Room Size: Plenty of room for luggage and for everyone to move around without feeling cramped.
3. Bathroom Amenities: The provided toiletries were nice quality...
We had a great stay at Citadines on Bourke for 7 nights. To be honest, I never had such good night sleep at any other hotels like at Citadines. Located in the CBD, this hotel is perfect for exploring Melbourne. The surrounding environment was also very good, and the room was spacious, so I was able to stay comfortably. The bed was soft, but it was uncomfortable to move around because it had wheels. But overall, it felt old. All staffs are friendly. This is a hotel I would recommend if you travel to Melbourne.
Absolutely awesome, the room was very nice!, so was the pool, definitely, the service was great! , every night i got the best sleep, the view was amazing, the food at the breakfast buffet was very yummy! And lastly was the location of the hotel, you could walk outside and go grab some lunch right around the corner at the mall!

Stayed for 3 nights in July. The rooms are modern and comfortable. My only complaint is that the bathroom gets a bit cold. Breakfast is nice: a good selection including some Asian options. It can sometimes get crowded and the service staff a bit overwhelmed so you may have to help yourself sometimes (e.g. to new utensils). There's a pool on the rooftop that's heated so you could swim in the winter...
Very clean, very local to everything.
Great bar/restaurant on site.
Pool was cool.
Great location — just opposite Chinatown and close to everything. The hotel has a trendy, modern design and the breakfast was quite good. We stayed for 6 days 5 nights with breakfast included, but unfortunately, they didn’t have any record of it, which caused some confusion during check-in. Aside from that, it was a pleasant stay overall.
Love the view and the service however found items under bed and glasses in room could have been cleaner

Nice location in the CBD, very central and close to Flinders train station and the Yarra river. Clean and tidy. Happy with the experience
There are no room slippers but they will provide you if you ask the reception.
Excellent location - in the city heart and close to all amenities.
Very clean
Excellent helpful staff
Good lounge bar with snack food, not expensive.
Overall, only 3 stars as the room is small, quite noisy and looks old fashioned. Hotel buffet breakfast is ok. House keeping is pretty good as they come and clean everyday. Hotel price is pretty pricey as it cost around $800+ SGD for 1 week stay and no hotel breakfast. Good location as it is at the CBD area.
The location is perfect, but the glass door between buildings are very noisy when open and close in the morning. Got a bad sleep.

The only criticism is that the bathroom was a little small

Room was quite small. No opening windows or any sunlight in our particular room. Bathroom had absolutely awful smell coming through the drains. However, great location in Melbourne CBD
We had an awful experience which was we got a room key (room 630) that the room has already been occupied… We opened the room door, and someone was just right there which made my husband and I were shocked!

The hotel is located in the heart of Melbourne, with convenient transportation. It is 5 minutes away from the train station and just across the road is St. Paul's Church. The hotel's front desk service is enthusiastic, the business is proficient, and the breakfast is rich.
The location of the hotel is great. The fitness equipment is complete. The swimming pool is always heated and there is a sauna room. The bar service in the lobby is also superb
It is indeed old, the bed is not as comfortable as in China, the toiletries such as toothbrushes are also average, the restaurant is also very small, the breakfast has few varieties, and the service is OK. Came here for a work related conference. Nice rooms and facilities. The finger food was pretty good, and the rooms themselves are nicely sound proofed so you don't get the noise of the dining and socialising areas bleeding through to the meetings. I've also been here for social events and the food served in that setting was also very good. I can recommend this place on both counts.
