I attended a function at this hotel. Function rooms, tech and support seemed to be well organised. The catering was handled brilliantly, including dietaries! I would have appreciated a barista and machine for coffee. The bathrooms really needed to be checked hourly with the number of participants to keep tidy. The stairs to level two are very steep. Thank you
Travelling for work the location of the Jasper hotel is good with easy tram access, Queen Vic Markets and some reasonable food choices. I was always greeted pleasantly. I stayed on two separate nights. First night large room, outside balcony and comfortable bed. The lounge just looked grotty - so I wasn’t sitting on that! Next room was smaller, but well set out, again bed was comfortable. I liked the...
The hotel was well located and all the facilities were good enough. However it markets itself as a design hotel, which apart from an exhibition downstairs, I didn't really "get". Nothing much in the rooms smacked of distinctive design apart from some coloured glass between the bedroom and bathroom that could be levered open and closed. The carpet in my room on the 7th floor was a bit worn and uneven...
Great hotel, in a great location. I would highly recommend!!
Good location next to Victoria markets and the lobby is decent. The rooms are tired with marks on the walls and holes in the carpet. Theres also an unknown dirty smell in the rooms. Even when rooms had been serviced, there was still bits on the carpet and the bathroom hadn’t been wiped down. I stayed for 8 nights and the sheets weren’t changed once.
Jasper hotel is conveniently located just along Elizabeth St in front of Queen Vic Market. Love the convenience but the service reflected the change management. Jasper used to exude warmth and service staff demonstrated genuine care with personal touch to attending to your queries. Rooms were more comfy and well-maintained too. At arrival, my allocated first room had loud noises and first staff said...

It's a great, not expensive but also not budget option hotel, it's literally the best option we could think of for a place you want to just want to go too and know you'll get a good rest, with everything you need available, while not glamorous, rooms are well kept, function as you need. Close to pretty much anything you need to get to Melbourne, being close to trams, we've stayed there multiple times...
The hotel offers a highly convenient location, making it an excellent choice for exploring Melbourne’s CBD. While the rooms are fairly standard and the breakfast was average, the central positioning more than makes up for it, providing easy access to key attractions, dining, and transport options. It’s a practical and comfortable stay for those looking for convenience and accessibility in the heart...
Our family stayed at this hotel for four days starting on Christmas Day. We were able to get into the room early, which was greatly appreciated since we had just gotten off a 15 hour flight. Room was clean, plenty of toiletries, and spacious enough for a family of four. Only issue, minor in my opinion, is that the bathroom sink drained very slowly, probably needed cleaned out. Breakfast buffet at the...
Room was a decent size, just nice for a single person, might be a bit tight for 2. Comfortable bed. The rooms layout is a bit of a maze especially if you get a room further from the lifts and have to drag your luggage through the labyrinth. Other than that, all is good.
The location is convenient for any activity in the city and the beds were really comfortable. The room had great lighting and quiet.
Perfect location. Very central. Lovely staff. Great bar happy hour. Brekky very generous. Comfortable bed. Hotel just a little bit tired looking. However we enjoyed our stay. Will come again.

Incredible stay, excellent rooms and a lovely atmosphere upon entry. Special shout-out to Keylan who was such an amazing staff member. Also definitely check out the breakfast if you get a chance.
We had a wonderful stay at Rydges Melbourne and very highly recommend it. The hotel has been newly renovated to a high standard and has a modern decor. Our Twin King Suite was spacious, very clean and quiet. The only very minor quibbles are that the wardrobe is very narrow (not big enough for two people staying a week) and the sofas are too compact (not designed to lounge on while watching TV)....
I don’t normally write reviews unless I’ve had an amazing experience. I got just that at Rydges Melbourne. The customer service was amazing, Ebony helped us out any way she could and accommodated to our needs 24/7. The breakfast buffet was great, lots of options and great variety. The new modern design of the hotel looks spectacular and is somewhere we will definitely consider staying again on our...
This is a wonderful place to stay when in Melbourne. Wonderful service and amenities, great location and great value for money. A special mention and really big thank you to Ebony who went above and beyond to help make my fiancee's birthday very special. She was wonderful. Thanks for everything again, you'll see us soon!
An absolutely delightful overnight stay on Saturday night. My daughters and I enjoyed excellent, professional yet also relaxed and friendly service . We stayed in a twin room and king and both rooms were so welcoming. The beds super comfy, nothing to fault. Online check in and out worked well but also very helpful staff available when needed. The buffet breakfast was also delish, plenty of options...

The hotel is located in the heart of Melbourne, with convenient transportation. It is 5 minutes away from the train station and just across the road is St. Paul's Church. The hotel's front desk service is enthusiastic, the business is proficient, and the breakfast is rich.
The location of the hotel is great. The fitness equipment is complete. The swimming pool is always heated and there is a sauna room. The bar service in the lobby is also superb
It is indeed old, the bed is not as comfortable as in China, the toiletries such as toothbrushes are also average, the restaurant is also very small, the breakfast has few varieties, and the service is OK. Overall, it is not as good as the 400 yuan hotel in China, it is just a little bit worse in every aspect, and it feels like it has not kept up with the times.
Staff were extremely friendly, from lobby door, front counters, to housekeeping.
Convenient transportation, large rooms, especially large bathrooms. I recommend staying at Westin for families. I stayed at Grand Hyatt and Westin this time. I highly recommend Westin. The two hotels are not on the same level. Although the facilities of Westin are old, it is still a top American hotel. The balcony is beautiful and the view is right when you open the door. Small but well appointed room. Extra pillows and blankets provided. Check-in was fast and no fuss. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, for example had an issue with my shower but once reported it was fixed within the hour. Restaurant had good range of food and beverages on offer at reasonable prices and the quality was excellent. Wait staff were also exceptional. All up i really enjoyed my stay...
We stayed at Novotel St Kilda last night and the staff there were so lovely. My son mentioned it was his birthday when checking in & when we went back up to our room that afternoon there were balloons & chocolates with a happy birthday card. They then brought up a little cake with candle which just made my sons day. Such friendly & thoughtful staff at reception that really made our experience so...
The hotel itself is just OK. The staff are fantastic, and so is the location. Just a few minutes of walking gets you to the beach, and a good selection of restaurants. I'd give three stars to the hotel itself, and five stars to the staff and the location.
A good weekend getaway and great helpful staff with smiles all the time. It was sweet they got us a lil something upon arrival too. Only downside is hotel needs refurbishment as looks quite rundown, needs a revamp badly but the view is nice facing the water for room 429. The room is spacious and comfy king size bed and lovely pillows. The breakkie was simple but it had variety. If you are a hotel guest...
Great location with a relaxed beach side feel, easy walk to shops, cafes and pier. The hotel is clean and tidy although dated. Lacks a bit in professional service for a four star hotel in my opinion. I would class this as a resort hotel, with a laid back style. If you are looking for a reasonable coffee I would recommend Abbey Road cafe, a 15 minute walk.
The location & menu of the Esplanade Diner (formally Grill 3182) is brilliant and very reasonably priced. The view absolutely spectacular. We happened to dine at an early time as we had a show to go to at the fabulous revamped Alex Theatre in Fitzroy Street, virtually around the corner. The Novotel was simultaneously hosting a medical conference & the bar Staff were totally flustered and seemingly...

We have stayed here a number of times due to the easy access to the city, the most reasonable room pricing and available parking (at a small cost). This stay was no different to others with a smile and hello from entry to departure. Our room was clean and functional and met our requirements, the bed comfortable. There was coffee and tea provided along with a working TV. All good and we will stay again...
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff held a room for me as I did not know if my husband would be out of hospital or not, as it turned out we did need the room. Room services was quick and the food was very good. Overall a great place to stay. Well done.
The hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate not only me and my wife, but also the entire group of international delegates who stayed here for our International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The room was always clean. It was very large and comfortable. The breakfast each morning was delicious and bountiful. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was well appointed and had plenty of space to spread around and keep your luggage. I ordered room service for dinner and was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and the price. Buffet breakfast was also good, with sufficient variety to satisfy most people. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Great river view, the room is clean. The hotel is located in a relatively quiet area at night. There are pubs and restaurants on the opposite side of the river.
Would return here specifically due to the hospitality. I chose this stay due to its close proximity to my work at the time during my stay. The gentleman at front reception was polite and easy to deal with. Very exceptional service from my part. Rooms were great and had no issues while on site.
Liked it. Good sized room. We had nice views inland with a sea glimpse. Super spread for breakfast which included a gluten free bar which was nice to see
big room and clean, bed comfortable, shops and restaurants nearby
From the moment we arrived, the staff at the reception made us feel special with their warm welcome. The suite was spacious, immaculate, and offered a breathtaking view over the river Yarra & the Southbank, particularly at sunset when the lights come on & special fire displays starts at intervals along the riverbank. The buffet breakfast was generous and varied. I highly recommend the chef signature...
I am currently staying at this hotel. The suite with bedroom, lounge and kitchenette is very comfortable and clean. Staff helpful and polite. Location is good. Wonderful hotel. Staff were so friendly and efficient especially the staff working in the restaurant for breakfast over the weekend. Breakfast was very good value including all the traditional buffet breakfast foods. I was in the One Bedroom Loft Apartment with Balcony which was certainly dated but comfortable and clean. The best bits: the staff were so friendly and helpful. The lobby area is very welcoming. The buffet breakfast was great value. The less good parts: rooms were tired. They’re kept clean, but even the sheets and curtains are showing signs of age and wear. The room (112) was spacious, but had very limited storage and hanging, so I had to drape a lot of my clothes over furniture. Power sockets are all...
Nice hotel, the loft view requires climbing stairs. We were very exhausted on the day of check in, after driving from Canberra. The only downside is the bathrooms shower, its only half covered, and has no door to cover puddles of water...

Fantastic customer service and a well run hotel. The front office staff are amazing and were super nice to our two girls. Special mention to Ross and Deb for going that little extra mile that separates this place from the rest. The kids loved the pool and Xmas tree. Thank you for everything and we will be back
The place is old and really needs some work doing. Walls are paper thin. They had a party down stairs and it was so loud we couldn’t get to sleep til it had finished. Then we were woken by the neighbour showering at 6am on a Sunday. Room is nice and clean and beds were comfortable. Shower has a rainfall head which is annoying and looked to be falling out of the roof. Drainage isn’t great, so the bathroom...
Enjoyed our stay, nice clean room, comfortable bed, quiet. Really need to do something about a door for the shower, bathroom floor gets very wet. Downstairs bar was great, tapas was yum. Breakfast was good. Top floor pool looked like a great place to be on a hot day.
Spent two nights in a spa suite. The staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet was great. The room was a little dated and I hate the little milk servings the provided. I like milky coffee and was going down stairs three times a day to get more milk! However the spa was awesome! Better than anything I have seen in 17 years of hotel stays.
Rooftop has a great view. Staff good. Good night

Nice quiet area close to train and high st shops. Room is tidy and clean with private toilet and shower and shared kitchen, I think it used to be students accommodation. Stayed here for our anniversary. Such a nice hotel and our room was spacious and comfortable but was quite dissappointed that they are not offering breakfast yet ( not even room service) except for an expensive continental basket. We're able to get an early checkin after a very early overseas flight and a lot g delay getting through airport. This was really appreciated. We have used this establishment before and will again. The only thing I would welcome is a comfortable chair in living room rather than one that just looks good

Just checked out and had to wait for the elevator to start working again for around 15 minutes because for some reason it wasn’t. Great experience staying at this place. We’re on the 30th floor and the view was spectacular. Walking distance to CBD and free tram area. Last renovation pre COVID period ~2017, so don't expect new facilities. e.g. Pans not usable. Washing machine, Dryer, Dishwasher are actually working. Somewhat understaffed. Cleaning every 3 nights, but that didn't happen, so be prepared. Central location is it's strongest point.
The rooms are large and located in the city center, about a 7-minute walk from Chinatown. The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerators, home appliances and dishwashers.
The room facilities are a bit outdated, the washing machine and dryer are separate, and the model is a bit outdated. The hotel has an excellent location, with a large flat-floor view of the city and hot air balloons. The water temperature in the hotel must be criticized. There is a serious lag between hot and cold. It is either too hot or too cold. There is no balance point. The price is also very...
The room was not bad. Maybe there was language communication problem and it was not cleaned every day. Then on the last day, I felt that maybe they cleaned the hotel in the morning. First of all, we praise Ctrip for its feedback speed and solving the problem in time. The location of the hotel is okay, but the housekeeping is really bad. The sand on the bedside table has not been wiped for two days. The most outrageous thing is that the toilet brush is placed on the sink! I don’t know what it means, so I sent the photo to the hotel.

The staff were very professional and hospitable. The facilities including the pool was very nice but too cold. The room was very nice but the double couch was very uncomfortable. Nice enough. Good location. Lighting problems in whole apartment though. Not as clean as could be. Staff friendly and responsive.
Nice place, welcoming staff, architecture is sound in a great area with a view over parkland and a nearby museum. It would've been a perfect stay if it wasn't for the lackluster plumbing in the apartment; the taps in the bathroom splashed water over the sink, the shower was only capable of releasing either scalding hot or freezing cold water, the shower head was so low that I kept hitting my head against...

Staying in a nice one bedroom apartment could not fault the place. Stove oven fridge freezer washing machine and dryer. Free internet. The location was good as we had work functions in the area. Easy walk to trams.
I have stayed here a few times as a nursing student. The rooms are always incredibly clean kudos to the cleaning staff they do an impeccable job. The front desk staff are some of the best in the area. I've stayed at numerous places in the area and Adara goes above and beyond. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is away from the CBD, but ideal if you're like a cozy area with shops, and little restaurants. Noodle World around the corner is usually my first stop for food.
A great location if you are needing to be close to the hospital. I only needed one night and the room was clean, comfortable and good size but furniture was a bit worn and dated. I could hear the trams and traffic (this did not bother me) but it might if you are light sleeper. Reception staff (both check in and out) where so lovely. Recommend if you can get a good price.

Room service food was excellent, cocktails were fresh and well presented, breakfast was to die for! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed! Parking on site was affordable, safe and easily accessible...
My mum and I stayed here for a week whilst visiting family. It was clean, comfortable, had a lovely view of the lake and an excellent breakfast! It’s a 2 min walk away from the High St tram stop and a quick journey to the city centre both by tram or taxi.
Lovely alternative to stay away from Melbourne CBD. It’s next to Yarra river which is really nice to walk around in the morning
Fantastic place. Very close to the city and Botanical Gardens. Very clean and helpful staff.
Great hotel. Really enjoyed my stay. Recommended.
