Joondalup City Hotel in Perth

A noisy party down the hall and it echoed through the entire floor until another guest asked them to quiet at 4am. The door and walls don’t hide noise from neighbouring rooms either- there was some moaning & vigorous action 😂 going on next door at 11pm then again 4am. I haven’t had much sleep. Sorry probably won’t stay here again.

We arrived quite late due and there was no tv remite control in the room, didn't want to disturb them for one. Then there were other guests having a domestic that went on for hours til 1am, couldn't put the tv on to drown them out. Very tired as a result. Called the after hours caretaker who didn’t answer. Left a message about the domestic dispute that was going on and nothing was done about it.

This hotel is more like a backpackers hostel.
There’s no restaurant, the front entrance had cobwebs and spiders. Nothing in the mini bar. The lamps and plants were dusty as hell in the room.

The hotel is old and needs renovating. The room was dark and dingy and stained and not very clean. Bathroom was old and stained. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable, room furniture was inadequate, old, damaged and stained. The fridge smelled like something had previously died in it and no water provided. The windows in the room were frosted glass so minimal light and opened out onto the back alley store room. Not very appealing or appropriate at all for $200 a night - we walked out and went elsewhere. I feel the website photos are false advertising.
This is a great location but the hotel owners need to up their game and renovate.
We were not told at reception that the bond was $200. A much more up market, new and modern hotel round the corner only charge $100 bond.
