**An Appalling Experience - Avoid This Hotel at All Costs**
My recent stay at this hotel was nothing short of an absolute nightmare, and I strongly advise future travelers to steer clear of this establishment.
I booked a single room, planning to check in during the late afternoon after a long journey. Upon arriving in Shumen early in the morning, I was exhausted and in need of rest. I had two friends traveling with me, and given the extreme heat outside, we decided to rest for a short period in my room before exploring the city. Let me be clear: there was no intention of having multiple people stay overnight in the room, merely a brief respite.
What followed was one of the most shocking experiences I have ever encountered in all my years of travel—across more than 50 countries, I have never faced such disrespect and hostility. The hotel owner, accompanied by an unknown man, abruptly banged on my door, demanding entry. Without any prior communication, explanation, or even a moment's notice, they forced their way into my room in a state of fury, seemingly searching for something without any clear reason or justification. They then, unbelievably, called the police on us, all while refusing to engage in any civilized conversation or listen to our side of the story.
The owner's actions were not only unprofessional but crossed the line into a blatant invasion of privacy and personal space. There was no rational explanation for the way we were treated—rudely, disrespectfully, and as if we were criminals. This was an experience that no traveler should have to endure, and it left us feeling deeply insulted and humiliated.
I urge anyone considering this hotel to think twice. There are plenty of other accommodations in Shumen that would certainly treat their guests with the basic courtesy and respect that we were so egregiously denied. This hotel’s management is a disgrace, and their behavior is completely unacceptable.
Avoid this place at all costs if you value your dignity and wish to enjoy a peaceful and respectful! !!

Generally, the hotel is located near the sea (200 metres - according to my Amazfit). Rooms are cleaned every day, there are not problems with wifi or TV. The bathroom is traditional Bulgarian - WC + washbasin + shower in one room. It is maybe strange - but traditional :-)! The restaurant offers good meals for average prices. In June 2023 there were not any breakfasts offered - probably because of the lack of guests. But the shop including coffee machine is 100 meters from the hotel.

The provided internet service is same as non-existent. Had a lot of work to do but was unable due to the lack of internet. There is wifi coverage but they need to change the internet provider asap

Hotel is a small quaint inn. There is no elevator and the flight of stairs is fairly steep. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were cozy and tastefully decorated. There is no breakfast option offered at the hotel. Wi-Fi was very slow when it worked which was about a quarter of the time. Very near lots of shopping and restaurants. Parking is along the street and often we had to park several blocks away.

Excellent hotel at a reasonable price. Very pleasant and clean room. I mean it was sparkling, spotless, incredible, super clean! I really liked the decoration, there was a desk for work and the room was cozy and comfortable. There is a coffee machine available. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking available. Great location. I highly recommend this hotel and will come back. So far this place is my favorite in Shumen.

This is a hidden gem. Very centrally located, with a place to park, nice restaurants and bars close by. Room was spacious and so clean and air conditioned which was a plus in the hot weather. When it comes to the price - you get so much more compared to what you pay. Definitely will stay again. Much recommended.
