Where to stay in Shumen

Hotel Madara in Shumen Bulgaria. It used to be a good hotel with bars and disco 40 years ago. Not anymore I guess. Just a hotel now.

Hotel small but very cozy. Here you can feel like at home. The restaurant is a big plus, one of the best in town. Room nice and spacious. The hotel, everywhere, smells good )))

Returned after eight years the place still looks as good as when we left it. The place has an oriental Boho admosphere and the Appartments are spacious and staff friendly and their English is good. Price quality is a plus plus even when due to the pandemic the pool is closed.

We we're restaurant guests, not hotel guests. Nicest place in the city.

I spend much time in this hotel in the last 5-7 years, really liked the rooms, the atmosphere and the kitchen.

The Best place to stay in Shumen. Rooms are very clean and has own fridge. I heard no noises over the night. Air condition was working well. Very good sleep. Location is just few minutes walk to centre and few hundred meters away from stairs to Shumen Monument. Hotel has own Restaurant called Green Garden. Food I Very good and tasty. Menu has very much different options. Good selection of Whiskies...

Excellent, stylish family hotel with super restaurant and cosy garden. Child friendly.

Very careful welcome and all served with kindness and a lot of friendliness.

Clean and comfortable. The receptionist was very accommodating when we came later than check in. The room was quiet and had air conditioning.

It is our favourite place to sleep over in our way to Greece. Clean room, comfort beds. You can pay with card and fair price. Our next trip to Turkey and we will again stay at Otantik!!! :) P.s. this is the only place where we could pay with card in the town

Spotless clean, kind and helpful staff, location right in the center with convenient parking. The furniture is one of a kind and made me feel like a princess. Super comfy bed + all the small things that we needed were available. The room with the balcony is worthy as the view is kind of interesting 🙂 only thing that was imperfect was the water pressure in the tap but this is really minor. I am already...

Excellent food - not many things with interesting combinations of flavors and stunning plating, warming 100% professional service, cozy and domestic atmosphere. Prices are affordable.

Small family hotel. Nice rooms, clean but little bit chic. Have own downstairs restaurant with quite good kitchen. Good wine selection. Hotel service staff is very nice but need professional improvement.

The bed was awful, the room is very basic. The only good thing is the staff, which was helpful and friendly. The most important for one hotel is the bed and to be quiet, here was only quiet.

Very nice and quiet hotel near the center. Personal is friendly. Rooms have computers and WLAN. Nice view over the city and to the near hills. We always stay there when visiting Shumen.

A good and cozy place to spend the night and for a longer stay. Pleasant and good hosts, with good maintenance of hygiene and comfort.

We have stayed here for 1 week in February 2017 and I cannot praise this Hotel enough. It is a small hotel , but the staff are great and the rooms are very clean. we are going back in April and staying here again. It is very handy for the city centre and easy to find.

The place is cozy, clean and the owners are really nice people. It's located in the city center and there is a little spot for dinner. It's a good budget option!

An intimate, unpretentious restaurant with a history - it fed and sheltered many guests from the National Theater. This is evidenced by many photos with the hearty owner, who has as a waitress the sweetest, charming, attentive wife! It's amazing! 😍😘

Clean hotel and cheap price. The owner is very nice. Terrasse and restaurant is a plus.

We stopped to have quick lunch. However it was so nice so we decided to stay a bit. The personal is very professional. The garden is amazing, our kid enjoyed so much. In the restaurant everything is good. The food is very tasty.

Nothing special. Old building and room's furniture, though clean rooms. Few kilometres away from Targovishte but with car you can make it for 5min. Beside some drawbacks, the place is quiet, peaceful, and with nice nature.

I stayed in that hotel for a working mission in Razgrad. The place is clean, warm, the breakfast could have more (local) fruits but is ok. The restaurant serves very good food. For that price, this is a very good deal

Nice family oriented hotel. Very quiet and located near the park I run and swim every morning . The pool is good size and well maintained.

There is a restaurant on the ground floor and a life chalga music till midnight. So is not easy to get asleep, before AM

We have stayed here 5 times and each time we love it , this is the 1st we got to the pool ,it was fantastic the bar outside was fully stocked and the staff were friendly and helpful

A perfect stopover on our travel. A good dinner, wonderful pool, excellent staff. We really regretted to leave before spending another day here. For sure we will return and I will recommend this place.
