Lagoona Beach Luxury Resort and Spa in Manama

My 9 year old daughter stepped on a stabler nail placed at the kids water park area, and was bleeding. We found the staff to be very unsupportive. After much calling we got someone to apply a plaster on her. When we got to reception to report this, and ask what a stable nail was doing on the floor in the kids area, they apologised and kept insisting we come back for another stay over night. When we finally contacted them about this compensation they had offered on the day, they said they would only give a day pass. I just felt fooled. It not about the freebies but about the unsupportive staff and unprofessionalism the staff there exhibited. That is why I am writing this review.

This hotel is the worst place I have ever been. You will feel like you are in the jail. Check-in and check out are terrible. The reception staff only giving their strict rules. I can summarize my stay as follows: 1. The hotel staff are rude and not cooperative. 2. We signed on a declaration for many issues. A very strange issue happened. The hotel staff did not allow for my daughter’s blanket to bring it in! This has not been included in the declaration. 3. The hotel staff did not allow the restaurant delivery to come at the reception. They informed me to walk to the outside gate to take the food! 4. There are only 4 elevators in the entire hotel. During the day, we needed to wait 7 minutes or so until an empty elevator arrive. 5. During the second day, when I get the elevator, one of the staff asked me to leave and choose another elevator. When I asked him: is this declared on the elevator? He answered: no, but as we are busy at this time so please look for another elevator. 6. There is a very strange and high level of machine sound near the fridge, I couldn’t relax in the living room. 7. The housekeeping admitted to the room and clean it without taking the permission. There was no available plate to leave it on the outside door informing them not to clean! 8. The hotel stay price was so high as well as a non- refundable only available choice during booking. 9. The breakfast area was absolutely overcrowded. Many people around all areas and between the tables. Unbelievable time for preparing egg because of too many people waiting for their turn. However, there was a random serving for persons before their turns. I will never repeat this stay again. I also recommend other customers not to choose this hotel.
