Fairmont Palliser

Everything was great for the one night we stayed. It was the 3rd Fairmont on our itinerary, and the service and facilities are top notch. Our room was clean and comfortable, and as a historic building fanatic, I geeked out on the glass doorknobs. 1 star off because the hall smelled of dog pee and the ice machine didn’t work (but I was able to call room service for ice)
The breakfast was delicious. You will be reminded you are staying at a 5-star hotel when you see the bill.
The concierge was lovely, and had stamps for my post cards and I got to use the old fashioned letter box.

Staff welcomes were exceptional. Room service was quick and efficient. Pool and Hot tub was relaxing. Our sleep was comfortable and quiet. Had a little trouble with pulling up shower knob could be due to my own arthritis. All in all can’t wait to return thanks once again.

Afternoon tea review: Truly the BEST afternoon tea in Calgary. Yes, it costs more than most, but it is worlds away from anything else you'll find in the city -- from the tea selections (divine!), to the delectable desserts and savories. The presentation is superb -- everything looks so pretty and beautiful. And, of course, you have the most amazing service at the Fairmont -- our server, Julie, was superb and made my birthday celebration a memorable one. Thank you, Julie - you are the best!

This hotel is one of my favorites in this area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure won't be let down.

This really is all about the staff. The cleaning staff did such an amazing job. My husband and I really noticed the small things they did to tidy up that we've never seen anywhere else. Also the wait staff in the restaurant made the experience so personable. We were very impressed by the level of service! Great job!

Beautiful hotel in a great downtown location. Service and cleanliness were perfect! Quiet and comfortable room. Our housekeeper, Janette, was very personable and helpful, and supplied us with all our needs in the room. Neal at the front door was amazing - so friendly and courteous - and was always ready to answer our questions. I would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I had the opportunity for this one-night getaway from a gift certificate won at an auction. As with most Fairmont accommodations, the interior and surroundings are elegant. Generously, We were not only allowed to utilize the gift certificate on a weekend but also graciously upgraded to a larger suite. If you will be staying for several nights, you will definitely appreciate the upgrade and enjoy the time spent in your room. Food was expensive (again, par for the cuisine and menu) but exquisite in taste and presentation. Thank you to our server Ash for the hospitality and service. The live entertainment was also nicely received. A young trio of musicians called Out Of Pocket Trio (from the Edmonton area). Very talented. Well done Fairmont Hotels!
