Hilton Garden Inn Montreal Airport

The rooms are very clean and well maintained. But what makes it special is the staff. You couldn't find more pleasant, friendly, helpful people anywhere on earth. They're great - and Avo in the restaurant deserves a medal of some sort. He is unique, and makes a trip to the hotel's resteraunt special.

My wife and I needed a place to stay the night before we flew out on our trip down south. We also stayed here 7 days later when we returned from our trip. The hotel is nice and clean, nothing fancy. The room was a great size and very clean. Very nice clean bathroom with a great shower and bath products. The location was about 10 or 12 minutes from the airport by shuttle. We took the shuttle the morning before we flew out and it was a good experience. We left on time and it was a comfortable trip. The big issue we had was upon our return. We had a long travel day to get back to Montreal. We were tired, hungry and just wanted to get to the hotel to relax. We went to the shuttle pick up area and called the number listed for our hotel shuttle. We were told we just missed one but another would be along in about 20 or 25 minutes. As we waited, the crowd grew with people waiting for shuttles for their respective hotels. Over the next 30 minutes, all of those people got their shuttles ans we were still waiting. The shuttle for the Double Tree showed up for its second trip and that is when we really started to get frustrated. We called back and were assured our shuttle was on the way. We waited another 15 minutes before finally just getting a taxi that cost us 24 dollars. Time and money out the window after a brutally long day. We were not happy. When this was expressed to the front desk they simply said he probably had to get gas or something. Not impressed. This is the only issue we had, but it was a big one for us.

First review here but not the first time staying here. This is my go to when flying out of Montreal. Great location and well set up to accommodate short stays for those flying out. Long term parking and free airport shuttles to make life easy.
