Staff were friendly! The rooms, hallways and entry were clean. My tv didn’t work and there was some damage to door frame and ceiling. Beds weren’t overly comfortable.

Advertised as Pet Friendly but not very pet friendly. While booking online I wrote in special requests I would require a pet friendly room for a Chihuahua that will be kennelled while out of the room. The front staff was not aware I required a pet friendly room even though I specifically stated it on the online booking. This is where things got weird. The front desk and manager then proceeded to tell me if my dogs barking can’t be controlled they would have to evict me as a guest. I explained the dog weighs five pounds and barks for a few minutes after leaving the room but after the initial outburst it would not be a problem. The staff stated I was not allowed to leave my dog unattended in the room. I said I’m sorry I cannot commit to that I have plans in town that cannot accommodate a dog that’s why I chose a pet friendly hotel. They placed a pet wavier that did not state the loud noise would cause eviction or that the dog couldn’t be left unattended. When questioned on the additional rules the manager states we must be in contact at all times and if they couldn’t contact us they would call animal control on our pet that is a guest. The manager stated they had an incident that a dog was barking for four hours and they could not get ahold of the owner and that the pet friendly rooms are in one hall and it can cause a dog barking reaction. This seems like an event that traumatized the staff then they in turn pass that trauma onto you. This was the worst check in experience I have ever had at any hotel.

I also see reviews about the cards not working. The print on the cards makes the arrow for direction of card impossible to see. I heard the staff explain this multiple times to guests and the cards would have to be reactived multiple times. A guest was be stuck in the elevator trying to get a card to read morning, noon and night. If the cards are such a big issue change the print.

For a Pet Friendly room it was actually quite nice. The room was clean. Did NOT smell like animals had previously stayed there. The bathroom was nice.

Aside from the awkward shake down style check in the staff was very friendly. The cleaning staff were very nice and would ask if you needed anything walking by in the halls.
