Fabulous hotel. Spent 4 nights here and would happily have stayed longer. Conveniently situated to explore all of Quebec on foot. Tastefully decorated, with loads of little pieces on display of items found on the hotel's site, as its history changed along with Quebec's. The people who work here are cheerful and create a really relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. I arrived 9 hours late, around 1am, because of flight delays, and without my luggage. The welcome was exactly what I needed, calming and helpful. My room was terrific. Comfortable, with style, and well appointed. I've no idea how the hotel makes their breakfast pay. For CD$35, there's a high-quality buffet selection, plus a choice of cooked dishes, unlimited hot drinks, and freshly squeezed fruit juice. If anyone needs a master class on how to create a great hotel, come and stay here.

Outstanding service and a charming, upscale property made for memorable experience. Our room featured spacious cedar lined closets, fabulous bath, and an outdoor terrace with spectacular views. Perfectly located in the center of the action. It was a delightful experience from our arrival until our departure, and the staff was consistently exceptional at taking care of us.

My wife and I did not want to leave this place. From the time we arrived and were greeted by the valet and front desk everyone provided first class, friendly service. Cleaning staff were efficient and friendly. Breakfast outside on the deck was excellent. Servers in the restaurant were great, as was the food. You won’t leave hungry. We will definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable, quiet room with very comfortable mattress and cotton linens. I liked its layout, the big bathroom with separate tub and shower, oversized towels, good toiletries. My husband enjoyed the Nesspresso coffee. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. We arrived very late, around 11:00 pm, very hungry and tired. Restaurants were closed at that time including room service at the hotel and this is something that I feel there’s room for improvement specially for a hotel of this caliber.

Wow! What a fantastic hotel experience. I had never been to Quebec City and it was hard to decide between this hotel and the other more popular hotel at the top of the hill and I absolutely made the right choice!! This hotel is elegant, peaceful and so comfortable. The valet Louis was incredible, he greeted us when we arrived and helped us each morning when we started our day. He is absolutely the #1 shining star employee at this hotel — his customers service and demeanor is top-notch and he made our stay memorable.

The rooms are clean and well maintained. And maid service was quick and through.

The hotel is walking distance to most everything or a quick cab ride away(which the hotel can arrange for you)

If I ever go back to Quebec City, I would want to stay here again - if you are reading this because you are unsure which hotel to book, like I was when I started planning my vacation… this is the one you want- book this one ~ it’s exceptional!

A really great Euro style hotel with solid food, excellent service, and interesting/rustic suites.

We got an excellent price, had a good upgrade through our loyalty program, and were overall very pleased with our experience.

Our room was the Jardin Suite I believe, which is on the rustic and funky side while being interesting, spacious, and comfortable. It's in the attic, so very private and quiet, with a decent view around the building.
