Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, Quebec1 / 50

Quebec, 1 Rue des Carrieres 🧭 Map
Its an amazing hotel, well located at heart of Quebec city, easy to roam around on all historic places from here by walk. Staff was caring and welcoming! Only thing which I missed in this hotel was to explore something within the property, I have found that Swimming pool use to close by 9 only which I suggest should be open till 1 AM or atleast midnight if possible. I visited with a toddler, there...
We stayed at the Chateau Frontenac for the Evening of Darkness experience. Everything about our stay, from start to finish was exemplary. The reception clerk who greeted us, the server in the restaurant, the concierge - absolutely everyone was wonderful and so attentive. We enjoyed every minute of our experience. Sadly we were not there long enough to see much more of the city than the sights from...
The Frontenac is a grand hotel patterned after Europe's great hotels of yesteryear. If you overnight in Quebec City, you have to stay, at least the first time. It's an older hotel, but clean and majestic. The lobby can feel like a train station with tour groups gawking and people checking in & out. I was pleased to see public access is not restricted to those staying. But it did have a crowded...
Grand old Hotel right in the heart of old Quebec City. This place is a step back in time to a more elegant era. There is no shortage of restaurants, historic sights, festivals, and so much more that are right outside the front door of the Chateau. Loved our stay here.
The gentleman who helped us get our bags from the car to the lobby was lovely and helpful. I had ordered a vegan birthday cake, which was waiting for us upon arrival. It was beautiful and delicious! We arrived at the hotel with our large dog. We were thrilled at how welcomed we felt with our big guy. Our room was beautiful and, although it was listed as a room with a "city view", we were so excited...
You should definitely stay there! Location, view, service, food, atmosphere, style-all great!

Wonderful business hotel in a sleepy little town with nice cafes and places to eat nearby. The paid breakfast is not very good and I'd recommend going out to eat. Everything else is really great otherwise!
If you plan to arrive later at night don’t expect any service from front desk. Call ahead and make sure they put notes on your reaervation. I arrived at 11:30 at night and asked for a crib and this was impossible as they don’t have any staff at that time. Also I had called ahead for the bike locker but someone had the key and this locker so no luck with that also. Room are nice but service has room...
The hotel was conveniently located very close to the transcanada highway. It was quiet and is in an area that felt very safe to walk in. There was a cafe and chocolate shop that were easily walkable within just a minute or two. The staff were very friendly and courteous and check-in was smooth. Internet was fast and reliable. Rooms were quiet, very comfortable and very clean and look like they were...
The rooms I took off a star because the bath tub is too old. The service overall is excellent, however, they only have cold breakfast there. I don't really like the location here, it's not far from downtown but there's only one way from downtown to here, and the bridge is very far. Tip: I think this hotel is more suitable for business people, not for family vacation. Sorry I forgot to take any photo
Comfortable, quiet, easy to reach from the highway. Great staff, as always!
Everything was fine. Expensive and lacking the bar and restaurant that show up in pics. Probably haven't come back since COVID. Also tv system doesn't support any streaming services which doesn't align with current hotels in this price range. Sorry the response from the hotel below is a waste of time cut and paste. No real compassion.

Spacious rooms and bathroom very nice. Great location
Great place to explore old Quebec from. Good Restaurants shops and sights all around. Handy for the view across the river. Tourist office very close. Our room had views across to the chateau. Food very good, breakfast served until 2pm. Staff helpful. Not cheap. Funicular nearby to visit the lower town
Amazing location, walking distance to literally all the major attractions and restaurants! While rooms are small, it has all the amenities with good quality bedding. The hotel also has direct access to City Hall's underground parking. (Photo is view from our room.)
This is a great hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms reasonably priced for the great location in old Quebec. We also found the restaurant at the hotel had great prices. Something rare in our travels. Highly recommend this hotel.
Second time visiting Quebec City and second time staying at Clarendon. The location is second to none, it's right in the middle of Old Quebec City. Staff are friendly and professional. Rooms are nice and comfy and hotel has a nice "historic" atmosphere, it's very old. Nice restaurant as well.
This hotel really saved our butts today, we needed a room in the morning and after calling around to about 20 hotels. They swooped in for the rescue! The service on the phone was excellent and got us in right away. I would totally come back to this hotel again. It’s chic vibes had both a modern and old charm to it. The bed was super comfortable and room was clean. Very centrally located and had a...

The hotel is nice, convenient and clean. we stayed in the suit. location is a little far, must have a car to enjoy the surrounding
Wonderful staff and an amazing room. We opted for a king bed with a fireplace and aren’t disappointed. The location is very close to everything, with most activities being about a 20 minute drive with light traffic. The breakfast buffet is great, as well.
Great hotel, rooms were big and well built, very clean very spacious and the staff is very attentive when needed. Parking was very convenient too. It had an impressive layout , the back of the hotel was a beautiful open concept patio with lounge chairs galore and a great view of the golf course that was well kept along with a pool and sauna. The only inconvenience I found about this place is that it...
This is the kind of hotel experience for a person who wants to be sway from the city, while still being in it! They have a fire pit that is good to sit by and meet new people. The staff were incredivly friendly and happy, they made the stay warm and welcome, I will certainly be going back
Great room for the price, we loved the spa section with thermal bath! Location is good for the price you pay, not too far from downtown. We went also to the restaurant Le Dijon downstairs for dinner and it was delicious!
Nice hotel. In need of some room upgrades. Carpets, sofas/chairs are just a few items that need upgrades. Customer service is a 5 star. Impressed with front desk, restuarant, and room service. Needs some maintenance on the Sauna as well as the jacuzzi jets needs some repairs due to low pressure. Overall my experience was satisfactory.

This boutique hotel sounded nice on its advertising but was even better in reality. The room provided not only for sleeping but had good seating for resting and or dining. The bathroom had a lovely large shower with great water pressure. Location was ideal.
Location was great, room was very modern however small for my liking (think studio apartment) however staff was extremely friendly.
One of our favorite hotels in Old Quebec. Clean updated rooms and close to everything, including great restaurants, municipal parking, and the lower shopping district. If you want to walk Old Quebec - this is the centrally located place to do it from.
You can’t beat the location of this hotel! Steps from everything you’d want to see in Quebec City. It’s best to park underground at city hall, which is about a block away, but that’s really the only downside. Bring suitcases with wheels and you’ll be fine. The restaurant downstairs is also great. My wife had the best crème brûlée of her life there. What more could you ask for?
Location, location, location. Wow, this is a fantastic and affordable place to stay on a great, fun street right in the middle of all the attractions. If you get a double queen room, ask for the top floor as the windows face the atrium and the light comes in from the top of the atrium so the room will be bright. Was clean and comfortable friendly staff was little ways away from places but very close to highway
Our generously sized room was outfitted with all sorts of thoughtful additions for the dogs such as a dog bed, cookies, and poop bag. The staff were cheery and accommodating and we couldn’t have been more pleased by our experience. This hotel offers a 4 to 5 star stay in my view. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality!
We were able to switch to a ground floor room with our car outside our door for easy unloading/loading. Happy to have that extra blanket on a cold night! Breakfast was great.
Excellent stay! The staff at this hotel were so kind, positive, and friendly. Check in set the tone for a good stay. The rooms were VERY clean. Complimentary breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had. Definitely recommend staying here!
The front desk clerk who checked us in was very helpful and informative. Thanks Norbert for the great recommendation for dinner! The entire hotel was very clean and had a nice fresh smell. We were very impressed and would definitely stay there again. It is in an excellent location, just off the highway.
My husband and I got to the hotel moments before a couple of bus loads of tourists arrived but lucked out with a room as they had just had a cancellation. The amabilité of the personnel. The only thing that was not appropriate for me was walking so far to get to our room because of my health problems.
Beautiful place, comfortable, with enough space in the room and the rest of the hotel. Good amenities. Very nice staff and always willing to help. Restaurant’s food was tasteful.
Great place asked what type of messages we want and spa was good as well clean place good think is that there is a hotel as well!
Very nice spa ! Great atmosphere close to Quebec City
Great facial, they really took time to go over what was best for my skin. Friendly, and they accommodated us with little notice. Pretty little spot.
Hate to be a sour puss, but there are a few things that were a bit off. Parking is extra 15$. Breakfast buffet for 2 will set you back another 60$. Showering had intermittent hot water issues. Room was nice and clean. Staff is friendly. It may be just me, but I like to know upfront what things are going to cost.

Its Hilton! So no need to say more! The hotel is well equipped; play room, bar, ground-floor and top-floor restaurants, indoor swimming pool and gym! From that terms the hotel is amazing! With great room view! And its less than 10 mins away from the heart of Quebec City! The room was missing flip-flops, toothbrush, water bottles etc.. these type of stuff which is normal to find in a room! Service was...
Nice hotel. Nice room. Helpful. Restaurant and pool hours both bit restrictive for such a big hotel. Breakfast seems pricey and miss less fancy free hot breakfasts at step down hotels for convenience and price. Nice walk to old Quebec.
We loved our stay at this Hilton location. The view from our room was great we were on the city side. The room was big and spacious with a great big stand up shower. Very quiet and the staff was very friendly. The only downside was the size of the pool. We didn't use it as it was always packed. It would be nice if they had an evening adult swim.
Absolutely amazing hotel. The lobby is beautiful and has lots of space for waiting or chilling, they have a little small shop inside the hotel as well. The location id great, its close to everything, and with 10 minutes of walking you can get to old Quebec. The rooms are amazing, we had a great view over the city, and the service was fast and good. Room was nice and staff was friendly and attentive. Parking was very limited, jets didn't work in the hot tub and one tv was bugged but the location and proximity makes up for the nitpicks. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Our stay at Unilofts Grande-Allee Hotel exceeded our expectations based on previous reviews. We booked here for Carnaval & wanted an authentic old-world charm type of experience. If we were after a ‘cookie cutter’ type of hotel we would have booked at one of the several chain hotels in the area & in my opinion some of the negative reviewers on here should probably stick to those types of accommodations...
Small rustic rooms. Friendly staff. No AC in the rooms. And the place seems to always be a little warmer than you would want it. Great location. Within walking distance of many many places. Many restaurants are right outside.
Excellent location! Minutes away from restaurants, bars, and a convenience store. 15 minutes (or less) walk to the Chateau Frontenac and the old city. Rooms are clean and comfortable. An excellent breakfast is included. Parking is available on site but is expensive ($22/day). Ground floor room was VERY noisy in the morning, would brave the stairs next time.
The staff were friendly. The breakfast was really good. I love the waffle machine. Our room was quiet and bathroom was very nice. Please note that there is no elevator for those that may require one.
Recently renovated rooms and my rate was really affordable, but the breakfast (which was included with the room price in fairness) was utterly horrible, not food poisoning bad, but tasteless bad

The staff were very courteous. The location was perfect for walking in the Old City and Plains of Abraham.
There’s a lot of good things to say about this hotel: clean, modern rooms; friendly staff; reasonable rates. When there was a problem with our shower maintenance came right away and fixed it in 5 minutes. The fancy coffee machine in the lobby was fun, too The downsides are: the ATM in the lobby ripped me off (it said it dispenses $80 but only gave me $60) and the convenience store didn’t take US debit...
Love our room - it's romantic and cozy! But I'm really wish there was a dresser (we're here for 4 days and nowhere to put our clothes during our stay). Lots of great restaurants just around the corner and the Joan of Arc Garden across the street is stunning! Hotel is...
Nice spot with a great center courtyard. Located just outside the old city walls, this hotel is perfect. Rooms was a little small and congested for out group but otherwise, everything was great.
We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The location is perfect. We loved the valet that parked the cars. We had a discount for an electric car and they even charged it overnight. The city is very walkable and we could walk everywhere from our hotel. Loved the old luxury vibe that the hotel has. I loved their toiletries specially the soap. The service was great. Ah they have different elevators...
Stayed here during Rendezvous Canada. A perfect spot, close to the convention centre and close to all the other attractions for off-work hours. Room was perfect size, complete with a full desk to get some work done when not out and about. The staff professionalism. The entire experience was great!
We had a great experience at this hotel! Location was perfect, close to the old city and the skating rink next door was a nice perk. The staff was also great and we enjoyed time in the pool. There was even live music at the pool over the weekend! We’ll definitely stay here again.
The location was fantastic. We looked out our window to see the city gate and ice-skating rink. The kids loved the pool after our long days exploring the city. A very fancy hotel right between and a short walk from the Citadel, plains of Abraham, and old city. Parking on premises a huge plus. The beds were comfortable for even my picky spouse. The floors were a bit slippery. We didn't eat breakfast...
Quite a bit dated. Not a 4 star hotel. Great location. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Pool deck is dangerously slick. If this hotel had updates it’d quickly become a top hotel.
Nice spacious rooms
This definitely is not a 4/5 star hotel. At best a high 2 or low 3 star. Small rooms, dirty carpets, and mediocre staff. The parking downstairs is horrific. If you have a truck don't even bother. It takes 30 manoeuvres just to fit it under ground. Forget about it of you have an extended or HD truck. Don't risk it. The location is superb so that's a plus. This could be a fantastic 5 star hotel...

Check in and valet assistance were wonderful. We drove a pick up truck, and the valet drove with us to the proper underground parking location.
Spent 3 nights to visit Quebec city for the first time. Comfortable and clean, prompt service. Rooms are well equipped, had to ask for a corkscrew although wine glasses were already in the room. Nice to have a pool and sauna after long days of walking. Didn't try Boulay restaurant, but the Cafe at the entrance had great pastries and coffee.
Great location very close for the old town. Arriving at the hotel is a bit stressful. No parking but the valet were really great. Staff very helpful. The hotel restaurant is closed on Mondays and there...
I have stayed in a few hotels in Quebec City, including the Frontenac. This is my favourite. It is elegant, modernised, well-laid out with large comfortable rooms. It is right on the edge of the most popular areas, so they are easy to access, without crowding your hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. We always use the valet parking, as we do not use our car while we are there. It's elegance matches...
The people who worked here were very helpful and friendly and the location was perfect. The room was spacious and comfortable. Note that there is a long staircase to the lobby. Employees carried our luggage to and from the street for us, but if you have mobility issues this is probably not the hotel for you.
The Hotel Manoir Victoria was in an excellent location and very easy to find. The hotel staff were excellent and very welcoming. The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. There was a large amount of space to store your clothes and suitcases which was another plus.

Pros: friendly staff, around the clock kids activities (slime making, crafting, magician, balloon animals, face painting, circus act and play time, paw patrol, reptile show etc) and SO many child-friendly spaces (pool, indoor playground, splash pad, inflatable castles outside, crafts upstairs, colouring/kinetic sand/arcade/building...
Great hotel. Didn’t realize how busy it would be but extremely busy at the pool area. Had to find the right time when it was less busy but it was very nice. Definitely great for kids 10 and under. Try not to get a room by the pool as it can be very loud.
Family friendly but extremely busy. Hotel could use some updates. Our room door didn’t stay shut and they had to fix it upon our arrival. Better for kids under 8.
Overall great stay! Kids had a blast! We were lucky to get adjoining rooms no problem with a reservation a few weeks out which so many hotels offer but rarely do we get it so we were pleasantly surprised! Great hotel experience as far as entertainment goes but they severely lack renovations and the beds are as hard as rocks. I’ve stayed in many hotels and I’ve never quite had a bed that uncomfortable. The price is ok, I paid a higher rate because I did the booking from one day to the other. The wifi is terrible, I couldn't do anything, unfortunately breakfast is not included which is a shame coming from choice hotels, the room decor is not the best and, in my room, there was a lot of noise coming from the roof. Nice little hotel . I noticed it serves a lot of working crews from CN and other business class travelers . As for us , a family of 4 it offers a nice room with comfortable beds . Can you occasionally hear people waking in the hallway? Yes, but who cares? This place excels with the best hotel bed I have ever experienced. I slept through the night and woke up well rested and I wish I just could take that bed home. The Room and bathroom were spotless. Bathroom has good lighting and strong water pressure in the rain shower. Also the parking is free.
Lovely room, crispy sheets, wonderful restaurant on-site. Great value for the price
Clean and nice rooms, pet friendly and even offered a dog bed and 2 treats, would stay here again for sure
The environment is spotless and quiet. However, for the price, service, and attachments as a standard and expensive hotel should have, it doesn't have any of those services. So for travelers, I would recommend it if you are new to the city.

Very beautiful country location for smaller, more intimate weddings. The owners have carried out beautiful renovations.

I felt like staying in a 5 stars hotel, it was very comfortable and worth every penny. We wished we could stay another night Very clean, welcoming and helpful staff, relaxing hot tub, refreshing indoor pool, tasty and generous breakfast
Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of healthy choices meeting my family dietary needs. The service at the breakfast room was exceptional. The room was clean and comfortable. Room was located excellent on the ground floor near a door for easy access to come and go with our dog. Will definitely recommend to others and book again on future trips in the region later this year. Shower was great
It was okay, just to spend the night, but it could be so much better. * The receptionist was polite. Quick check-in. * The room was clean, a good size, but a bit dark. * The beds and sheets smelled nothing but clean, and the pillows and mattresses were comfy. * There were some annoying noises during the night coming from neighboring rooms. * The check-out process was simple, with no issues. >> Room...
Excellent staff and service! Beds are extremely comfortable and rooms are beautiful and well equipped! Highly recommend and would stay again!! It also smelled amazing!
Excellent hotel. It is clean, comfortable and the wifi is really good. Staff was tremendously kind. Location is also excellent near restaurants, a cinema and a grocery store.
This was my stop from Nova Scotia to Ontario and back. Reception was nice and friendly, the rooms appeared clean. I liked my room on the way back a bit better as it didn't smell of hint of cigarettes even though it suppose to be smoke free. The elevator was a bit of a distance from the entrance, if you have a bit of mobility issues. There was breakfast, nothing special. Overall an ok place to stop...
