Its an amazing hotel, well located at heart of Quebec city, easy to roam around on all historic places from here by walk. Staff was caring and welcoming!
Only thing which I missed in this hotel was to explore something within the property, I have found that Swimming pool use to close by 9 only which I suggest should be open till 1 AM or atleast midnight if possible. I visited with a toddler, there was nothing for kids to be engaged and even basic channels/programs weren't available on TV, you have to buy a whole movie to just switch On the TV. I have visited with family and found that this hotel is more suitable for business, solo or couple trips and definitely not recommended for a family trip with kids, kids will definitely get bored.

We stayed at the Chateau Frontenac for the Evening of Darkness experience. Everything about our stay, from start to finish was exemplary. The reception clerk who greeted us, the server in the restaurant, the concierge - absolutely everyone was wonderful and so attentive. We enjoyed every minute of our experience. Sadly we were not there long enough to see much more of the city than the sights from the boardwalk but that was really wonderful!

The Frontenac is a grand hotel patterned after Europe's great hotels of yesteryear. If you overnight in Quebec City, you have to stay, at least the first time. It's an older hotel, but clean and majestic. The lobby can feel like a train station with tour groups gawking and people checking in & out. I was pleased to see public access is not restricted to those staying. But it did have a crowded feel at times.
Our room was appointed well. It's small, bathroom is small. The coffee machine (Nespresso) is on the bottom shelf requiring one to get on your hands and knees to use it. Our valve on the shower came off, but we made it work. The iron needed to be replaced. These are small issues.
We only ate breakfast on site. Somewhat pricey but good food and attentive staff.

Grand old Hotel right in the heart of old Quebec City.
This place is a step back in time to a more elegant era. There is no shortage of restaurants, historic sights, festivals, and so much more that are right outside the front door of the Chateau.

The gentleman who helped us get our bags from the car to the lobby was lovely and helpful. I had ordered a vegan birthday cake, which was waiting for us upon arrival. It was beautiful and delicious! We arrived at the hotel with our large dog. We were thrilled at how welcomed we felt with our big guy. Our room was beautiful and, although it was listed as a room with a "city view", we were so excited to be able to see the park and the waterfront from our bed!

The majestic castle in Quebec, be sure to visit the lobby and walk the promenade. Best views and photos can be taken in Rue Dalhousie near the battery. (Where I took the picture attached)

Staying here during Christmas is amazing, the hotel is first class from the character of the hotel to the world class staff. From the moment you enter the hotel you will see why it's the most photographed hotel in the world. The people of Quebec City are friendly and they love their city! This is a top ten Christmas destination from the winter markets to the weather (it's been snowing on and off for five days) so it's highly likely to have a white Christmas. Book well in advance and come prepared to walk around the town and enjoy with your family. If you have kids they will love this winter wonderland.

AGAIN a great stay at this iconic hotel. Lucky enough to be on the gold floor where we received 1st class care from the very professional and interested staff. The breakfast was fantastic with something for everyone. The hotel was beautiful - still decorated with the Christmas trees. There is no other place that would compare to this in Quebec City. Be sure to do the tours when you come.

Absolutely stunning hotel. We paid for a deluxe room, and boy did it deliver. (Not the gold).
Many reviews criticize the lack of space, but for a vintage and historical hotel, this was actually very spacious.
The front desk staff, Bell staff, and concierge are all very helpful and friendly, and all spoke both English and French.
The location is very convenient as well, as Old Quebec City is super walkable.
