POCs BEWARE!
My kids and I experienced RACISM at Jack's restaurant. We went there for breakfast without any reservations. A staff member offered us a table to sit on along with some menus. We waited there patiently for our orders to be taken.. but no one came. We asked when our orders would be taken, but she just disregarded us and told us someone will soon take our orders. At first, we assumed that they cater those who came with a reservation first... so we waited again starving. A few minutes later, we observed that a staff member immediately catered to customers who had just arrived, also adding that they were white. They offered them coffee or even took their orders right of the bat. We have been there for almost 15 minutes yet no one even spared a glance towards us, it felt as if they were almost ignoring our presence. Reservation or none, it would have at least been better to let us know if they cater the clients with reservations first instead of just simply walking past us, helping everyone but us. So we walked out and drove to McDonald's instead, leaving the restaurant feeling a great sense of disrespect.
