What made this visit truly meaningful was the reason behind it. I returned to Winnipeg with my son to watch a Jets game — his team, and the reason this trip even happened. It was my first time back since leaving 16 years ago, and walking through those familiar spaces with him reminded me how deeply this city shaped my early career and my life.
Winnipeg was where I started my first professional job in Canada, working upstairs at the VIA Union Station. That chapter gave me supportive colleagues, a strong sense of community, and some of the best working experiences I’ve ever had.
I still think of Manitoba as my second hometown. Thank you, Fairfield Winnipeg — and thank you, Winnipeg — for welcoming me back.

Don't get me wrong, it is a nice hotel and they have a better breakfast than a Hampton/Hilton. If you aren't allergic, then consider it. If you are allergic and don't enjoy being constantly lied too, then avoid at all costs!
We had an excellent stay from start to finish. The staff were very polite and welcoming. Check in was very easy. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We didn’t bring a pack n play with us and they brought one up to us. The continental breakfast was one of the best I have seen. There were SO many options it was fantastic. The dining area, lobby, and pool area were extremely clean. There was always someone cleaning something in the common areas. The pool was very fun for our 14 month old and 3 year old. Check out was just as simple. We would stay at this location again in the future!
The bathroom was filthy , walls and outlets had visible filth and perhaps bodily fluids.
It was unacceptable and has it not been 3 am when we arrived , I would have taken my family elsewhere.
