The Fairmont Winnipeg
Winnipeg, 2 Lombard Pl 🧭 Map
The Fairmont in Winnipeg was lovely. The bed was comfortable, the staff was amazing and nice. Perfect location downtown. You can walk from there to the famous Forks nearby. Free WFI, complimentary water and just a great atmosphere. Lovely view. Taxis are just outside the doors nearby. If I return to Winnipeg I will definitely stay here.
I won't say much here save the way they treated me felt like I earned something.
It was an excellent experience.
A personal thanks to the staff who took such good care of me. I would have come back tonight, but you were fully booked, and I didn't have information to place a longer-term booking.
Thanks very much folks, that made me feel good about myself.
The place is great. Not much to add to that
It’s not the fanciest or most traditional “chateau” Fairmont, but they make up for it in that Fairmont service. From the guys at the front door that just seem happy to be there, to the front desk staff that are super friendly, to the Fairmont Gold staff that are just incredible - I loved my stay and would t consider another hotel in Winnipeg. But definitely stay on the Gold floor :)
Don't forget to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. This web site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of the best in the area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you choose this place you for sure won't be let down.

Great hotel! Zero complaints, exactly what everyone looks for in a hotel; classy rooms, comfy clean duvets, renovated bathrooms with walk in showers and lots of options around within walking distance. Also, escalator access to the underground walkway which we had no clue existed before. It is pretty neat and worth checking out!
I attended a dinner in one of the conference rooms this evening. It was very nice. The service was excellent. They took the time to cater to my 3 year old daughter's taste buds. She thoroughly enjoyed her cookies, broccoli, and mashed potatoes. Thank you very much.

All staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially Gracia who looked after us for the 9 hours after checkout. Providing complementary access to all the hotel facilities. Many thanks Gracia
Checked in late tonight after a long travel day. The gentleman who checked us in, I believe his name was Vasemin made us feel right at home and was very helpful and friendly. Receiving such great service at the end of a long day is greatly appreciated. Room is very nice. We have stayed here often and is consistently a great choice in Winnipeg.
Delta specifically, and Winnipeg in General win "Most Friendly" award for any place we've traveled!!
Top 2 (LIFETIME) Hotel overall staff are here and Montreal back in 2009.

Hosted a Convention, which was spread out too much, but that's a CON issue, not the venue's issue.
Beautiful hotel situated Downtown close to SO many cool places, whether you’re looking to shop, eat, or both!
The quite large, private balconies are a bonus!
Lovely indoor pool along with a jet tub and kiddy pool! They also have a gorgeous outdoor pool with plenty of seating arrangements! 😊
Staff are friendly, attentive and quick!
Absolutely adore this hotel!
Here for a 6 night stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. I love the club lounge (fresh strawberries in season are such a nice treat). I am enjoying my stay so far. Love the "Delta" hospitality.
In town for the World Police and Fire Games and this hotel was designated as the event hotel. Service has been incredible from start to finish, I was even offered water while I waited in line to check in + a selection of fresh fruit water available in the lobby every day. Perfect sized room and very clean. Walking distance from everything needed with WPFG including a sky walk to the RBC Center (which...

We were in for a late Jets game so this was super convenient. The staff both at front desk and in restaurant on 12 are very nice. Very short visit but it was very good
Service: The front desk reception service attitude is very satisfactory
Nice hotel with good view, clean, warm staff and easily accessible.
Would absolutely stay here again. The staff were so incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond! Really really enjoyed our stay here!
We selected the Radisson for its convenient location to Canada Life Centre. Portage Street was kind of dirty, sadly many homeless sitting around asking for money. Parking structure was very tight. Breakfast/parking package was offered at $35 a night. Buffet breakfast was all right but did not include coffee or juice - that was extra which seemed kind of cheap. Room was nice and clean. Hotel is great , right beside Jets rink. Parking tough for trucks to get in the upper parking lot. There are other options. No noise. Very helpful.

Excellent staff and my room was clean each time I've stayed here. You can pretty much discount all the recent negative reviews on here as people who watched a negative news story which claimed the staff as being "racist" and are now posting reviews to ruin the hotel's reputation even though they've likely never stayed at it.
Very nice rooms, restaurants and so happy there is a Starbucks in the lobby! Only issue was the state of the outside. Lots of street people hanging around asking for money and cigarettes. Did not feel safe going outside at all as there yelling and harassment going on.
Rooms are clean and very nice. Restaurants are nothing special but in a good area of time where you get amazing food nearby
We ate at Aaltos. I had the beer battered haddock and fries. Fries were rely good. Expensive though.
Was visiting somebody in the hospital and popped in to the bar for a bite to eat. We ordered the wings that happen to be on special until 6 p.m. . They were hot, fresh and awesome. Was very surprised at the amount for the price.
Very happy with our stay here, room was clean and tidy. Fairly central if you have a vehicle as it's just outside of downtown. Parking available.

I like the cleanliness and the staff were extremely accommodating.
The rooms are outdated. I’m not a fan of the sliding door for the washroom. We had the two queen beds room. The Play area for the kids were great. They have staff in the area all the time, which makes it a safety thing. The wrist band they provide you is a little prehistoric, but I understand why. We had breakfast at the restaurant, and it was pretty great. The servers were very kind and the food was...
IHG Club Member. Stayed here for two nights with our small children during our trip to the Winnipeg zoo. Location was great - close to everywhere we needed to be. Lots of parking!

Absolutely love this place!! Room was amazing, food was amazing, staff were magnificent, what more could you want? Honestly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Well worth the price as well! Thank you so much for your accomodations 😊
This place is great! Stayed here for 10 nights for work. First I literally booked my stay 15 minutes prior to arriving as I was booked in a different hotel that smelled like smoke and mildew. Interesting building with many neat places to sit around.
This place is amazing! The lobby is gorgeous equipped with a automatic revolving glass door, beautiful hotel with an old historic feel. It's like you stepped back into the early 1900s.
The Oval restaurant was delicious, we ordered the sea food tower and a bottle of wine, a bit pricey but it hit the spot. Room was very clean with feathered pillows and down comforter. Rooms had pump soaps, lotion, shampoo...
We had an emergency with our dog and ended up having to drive in from Winnipeg from out of province and needed a last minute hotel at 3:00am. The Fort Garry was full but the customer service rep searched the area and found and booked another hotel for us. We very much appreciated him going out of his way to help us. Will definitely boom with the Fort Garry next time we are in Winnipeg.
Booked this hotel for my work, stayed there at least for month. Room service was just amazing. This girl named Harjot was such an amazing person. She took care of all the required stuff i need in the end of the day!! Type of coffee and number of decafs i need.
I was a great stay!!
Beautiful historic hotel in downtown Winnipeg. It kind of reminds me of a smaller version of The Plaza. The lobby is beautiful and very ornate. The oval room restaurant is a beautiful spot just off the lobby. It has a great bar and menu. I didn’t do the spa while I was here but wish I had.
Nice, but not worth the price. Came for a wedding and stayed where the ceremony/reception was happening. Expensive room price and it was just a normal hotel room. There was a free coffee bar in the morning, but again nothing special.
Hotel was a cool place, and great for the wedding decor! So, overall good, but wanted a bit more.

Comfortable bed, large clean room, shuttle to airport.
First of all, if you have kids, they will love the swimming pool here and you should ask for a room on the first floor with the adjoining door directly to the pool. If you don't have kids, know that if you end up on the first floor with the door to the pool, you will have the sound of kids yelling coming into your room from 8:00 in the morning nonstop until 10:00 or 11:00 at night. Choose your floor...
The room was huge. Double queen bed was what we requested and received. The room was clean. The room was spacious. The shower had a few flaws. The shower head and handle were in need of repair. The location was next to the airport but we never heard any air traffic. The pool was awesome for the kids. The deepest part of the pool is 3 meters. It had 3 slides and plenty of pool side seating....
I didn't expect much when the manager pulled up in the shuttle to this hotel. But I'm gonna have to say that I really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were excellent. The staff in the whole building are amazing, and the food is fantastic and extremely reasonable. Only disappointing thing is, I'd requested every day to have housekeeping and they didn't come at all. Would definitely recommend this hotel...
Close to the airport. Room very clean and spacious.
Loved this stay! The shower was awesome, plugs by the bed, and everything was speaking clean.
They sent a text after check-in asking if we liked the room, and let us know we could text them if we needed anything.
I'd definitely recommend and stay again.

Good hotel with a nice big room. The bed was comfortable. The room has no frills but it is spacious and clean. The bathroom was big. Breakfast was included and very good. Service was ok, some people at the front desk were very nice and helpful others not so much. The location is fine but very close to a busy street.
My family enjoyed our 3 night stay. Room service was easy, open for breakfast or dinner and good options. The room was clean, we had plenty of towels. Loved the dove hygiene products. Good pressure in the shower. Easy to adjust room temperature. Comfortable bed.
The hotel is located outside of downtown. The parking lot is a bit hard to drive in - hard to explain.. but trust me!

Most of the check in staff were indifferent and mumbled instructions, it was difficult to understand.

We were very happy with this hotel. It was clean, The staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing that surprised us was that there are no dressers in rooms. First time in Winnipeg for a quick training session, and we stayed at the Alt Hotel for two nights—definitely a win! The big, comfy rooms and super-friendly staff made the experience seamless. Already told my colleague: next time, Alt is the way to go. #WinnipegStay #AltHotel #TrainingTripDoneRight
Modern design and funky feel as you would expect. Ultra modern furniture and fixtures. Rooms were well appointed and comfortable with high ceilings. Pet friendly! One of the many great reasons why we chose this place* Spent 2 days / 1 night, favourite place to stay for our family. Ruined 2 different bathing suits (even after getting home and...
I agree with the review that indicated that the breakfast was very good, but thought the room was very nice. Great staff, nice selection of amenities (pool, fitness, etc), and a very reasonable breakfast selection (eggs, bacon, waffles, cereal, oatmeal something for everyone to get you going). Just what you need for a family or independent traveler, also clean, well maintained and very quiet property. You can tell the staff care. Checked all the important boxes for me and reasonably priced.
The room had a few things that could’ve been updated like the plugs not working if your plugin moved a bit and the towel rack being only partially attached to the wall. But otherwise the hotel was clean and staff were very helpful. The hot tub is a good hot temperature, but the jets are on a weird rotating cycle. I would stay here again.

Great service and and cozy rooms. Stayed there for free as a part of program for Ukrainian immigrants. I am very grateful for the time this place took care of me and my family and for the fact we were treated just as great as all the other guests
All is good, except that 1) the PTAC is way too loud and can't turn off the fan, 2) hand soap is not supplied, and 3) the body wash wasn't enough for 2 people staying for 2 nights. The separate sink outside of the bathroom is a brilliant idea!
PS the restaurant connected to it sucks.
It's a great place when needing to stay close to the airport. Rooms are getting a little dated but very well maintained. The breakfast is weird though if you're wanting to take it away. I was looking for a pet friendly hotel to spend the night on my way to Calgary. It was fine. Great location to take in an event at the theatre. Restaurants are convenient. Nice location with a view of the river. My only con is parking should be included or be less expensive at best.
While the hotel itself is in a beautiful area it of the homeless and a higher criminal element. This is not the hotel’s fault, it is a social problem that the city needs to provide more social services.
Parking is limited in a very small parking lot, limited maneuverability. Most guest forced to do street parking- we had to park 3 blocks from the hotel by a homeless tent encampment. Had to check out early since street parking was on a time limit. Hotel was secure and safe which was great but worried about vandalism.
Wonderful
Clean comfortable hotel with wonderful restaurant by the river. Hotel would benefit greatly from a bigger parking lot as parking is very minimal for size of hotel. If you park on the busy street it’s not the safest at night if you have to walk a few blocks which is disappointing for such a nice hotel.
View of river from window was picturesque. Lovely sunrises.

Great location for short walks to restaurants and other amenities.
Only negative was lack of soft comfy chair in our room.
Hotel staff were friendly and willing to assist with questions or requests. Front lobby smelt wonderful- some sort of fragrance. Great breakfast! Bacon eggs hash browns sausages. One beautiful and old winnipeg landmark. Historical landmark over 100 years old
Amazing old hotel for a good price. While it isn't a luxury destination, it makes up for it in history and character. It has gorgeous architecture, spacious rooms, and complimentary breakfast. When we asked the staff they were happy to give us a tour of the ballroom and halls, which are beautiful. Don't forget to say hello to Edith if you happen to be staying on the fifth floor.
An Aging Hotel, with great character, but in sore need of renovations... The event that I attended had an excellent space on the top floor, and the renovated rooms are average at best... The front desk staff is exceptional, I just wish the owners / management would put some money back into general maintenance and repairs.
Despite the run down decor and rusty water, this place was once something great. I personally love staying in crumbling old castles like this. The free breakfast was surprisingly good.

Highly recommend there buffet on Fridays. And the breakfast. The ballroom is beautiful. Lots of parking close by. No complaints.

Perfect location for what I needed, quiet, great amenities
We have had our Mirror X rented out for both a Halloween Party at the restaurant and for a wedding in the banquet room. Both times we were incredibly impressed with the event coordinators and staff. The most recent one, the wedding they accommodated our set-up time with no issue, had everything ready for when we arrived and were incredibly helpful and friendly. They offered suggestions when we found...
I had an hour to kill waiting for the #10 bus at Tache & Marion so I went to The Tavern for one of their GREAT coffees. Have done this before & the Tavern is so relaxing. Love the decor. A lovely place to kill time instead of waiting out in the cold. GREAT coffee.
This is a nice clean hotel and I would stay there again as it has reasonable rates. It was clean and the service was excellent. The rooms were spotless.

The bathtub does not have a grab bar. And there is...
Stayed for 8 days. Rooms were great, comfortable, staff took pride in taking care of the room. The front desk and restaurant staff were friendly, helpful.
Would stay again. Great place.
Good small to medium size meeting room venue!
