Basic hotel that is very dated but just what you need for staying in the mountains and using it as a base ir quick place to stay but wouldn’t stay here if wanted to relax at the hotel! I would give 6 stars for location if I could. I enjoyed the stay,the walks between huge trees around the place and history lessons this hotel offers. It gives you the nostalgia feeling... Very much recommended for the bird watchers...

Great location of the hotel, surrounded by nature. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and listening to the sounds of the nature. Everything was clean, staff was welcoming and professional, room was very comfortable.

It was a one day get away on the 25th of March 2024. For a 4 star hotel i was expecting a bit more on multiple fronts. The location is good and i assume in summer when the weather is better, this hotel will be more popular than what we observed. The negatives were unfortunately more than enough. The location of the hotel is really nice and surounded by trees. The decoration and vibe of the common areas is vintage and very well chosen. It gives a very positive and heartfelt atmosphere. The breakfast is decent and includes a variety of options. The rooms are very basic, but clean. It also includes a restaurant and a bar.

The New Helvetia is a cozy hotel with a very "chilled", ski lodge vibe in the hills just above Platres. We were given a room with a beautiful view on the 2nd floor and 2 balconies, and the staff were proactive and forthcoming with any requests. As a history teacher, I fell in love with the beautiful decor, much of which is from Austria and dates back to the 1930s. Perfect for a short break in Platres...

Visited the place last month in July. The hotel looks fantastic with an old architecture that travels you back in time, and that's the great thing about it. The downside of it was on a windy night the windows were not possible to close properly and as a result they were bunging making noises that ruined our sleep. The location was great in nature, but that bunging of the windows messed up our experience...

This new hotel in platres is where you want to stay for a warm relaxed and cosy mountain vacation. The rooms are very comfortable and warm and with a nice balcony. I loved the old retro style that goes all over the hotel areas but with new and good appliances like bathroom is fully renovated. The back yard is really beautiful as well. Gorgeous location and hotel! Service and luxury exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was fresh and everything was made from scratch, staff was friendly and welcoming. Location is great. Hotel is well maintained and nice designs but for the money paid, room was tiny, shower was a small square box just enough to stand straight. All in all cute but not value/quality ratio is quite bad

A nice hotel if you're on a budget. The rooms and the hotel in general are somewhat dated and could use some renovation (especially the rooms). I really liked the breakfast room. Also, the girl at the front desk was super helpful and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Be prepared for a steep hike back to the hotel from the center of the village if you're on foot.

Absolutely charming hotel up in the mountains in a beautiful village. Having a steam room and hot tub amongst the trees of the forest took the whole experience to the next level. Andrea’s the manager there was so kind and helpful and couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable.

This is a boutique hotel situated in a quiet location in a pine forest above a small mountain village. I had an excellent meal and a comfortable bed. Internal stairs, so not suitable for disabled customers.

We stopped by at this hidden gem with some friends that know the village well. The hotel is lovely, the food , exceptional!! What a great find, the chef is so good , the hotel is so Nicky laid out and am impressed by the herb and vegetable garden for the kitchen! Highly recommend you searching this hidden gem out.

A trip to Troodus shouldn't be missed, in summer a cool retreat from the beachside heat. This hotel a gem, the appearance of a ski-lodge (which I think it is in winter. Exceptional staff on the desk and in the restaurant. We had a lovely room with a balcony, excellent views

We stayed here only 1 night. The hotel is right at the centre of Troodos and it's a very comfortable place. We booked a suite and it had a stunning view. The food at the restaurant were we had dinner was good and the breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of food.

Only dined in the restaurant after being in the mountains. Food was lovely and reasonably priced. Negative: waiters weren’t really on the ball - friendly enough, but they seemed to forget we were there and forgot half our order and we had to (eventually) get their attention to get the rest of our food. However, overall was nice.

We were greeted with a smile, the rooms are very clean, the staff was very friendly, it is close to the center and the breakfast was excellent . I recommend it.

Jubilee hotel is placed in a crowdless area and has an othentic design. It hase many rooms and space inside . Usually, it is more crowded in the winter - when you can ski in troodos forests nearby. Although, It gets only 3 stars because of the rooms. they have no refrigerator like a minibar and no kitchen. they are very small too. Great place for skiing tho....

Really warm atmosphere in the village. Parking spaces available in the beginning of the town and there are signs pointing towards it. Enjoyed walking around, you can do some wine tasting, enjoy a drink at the cafe’s, get some souvineers and there’s a monastery here too

A fantastic taverna in Omodos with delicious food and friendly service. The meze was something out of a box that we had before with extra touch of innovations.The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. Highly recommended!

Really a big dissapointment. We had to order the set menu (meze) as there was no a la carte options. With the exception of the roasted pig knuckle the rest of the dishes were below average. Quantity was ok but overpriced for the quality. I would defenetelly say not worth eating at this place. The people were nice though and attendive.

This restaurant is a must if you are in Omodos. Food is absolutely fresh and delicious, traditional but with modern twist. Probably the most peaceful place I have ever stayed in. Located in a quite, but charming small village. There is also an amazing local tavern down the road to eat at. 30min drive to the beach and 30min drive to Mount Olympus. Ideal place to stay in Cyprus.

This Adult only Boutique hotel is 7 star Jaka and his sister are looking after the hotel what a great credit to the owners. The hotel experience and village reminds me of south of France Village Eze breathtaking views. The room was very warm and comfortable. I will be returning very soon.

Second visit to this wonderful place and it was even better than the first time. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay special. The best traditional luxury suites in Cyprus . Our last visit was the 3rd one on this place, this time on the shiraz suite !! All the suites are really beautiful with high quality furniture on traditional style , fire place and small kitchen . The 2 of the 3 suites have Jacuzzi! A stunning hotel in the lovely village of Lofou. We stayed here for 3 nights in late June and Apokryfo was a beautiful oasis from the high summer heat. The hotel is like none other, blended into the history of the village with tasteful rooms and suites in existing buildings of the town to make up the hotel.
