ibis budget Nord Hotel

This hotel still has dedicated smoker rooms. I booked a non-smoker room. It was physically marked "non-smoking" at the door, but there was a pungent smoke-smell nonetheless, as if someone recently had been smoking. I wondered if it might have come in through a faulty ventilation system. Luckily the smell disappeared by bedtime after I left the window open for a few hours.

Low cost tourist? acommodation, one star very suitable. Outstanding in case you have never been in any hotel. Breakfast rises my Meaning a little...

Stayed here to break up a long drive - not a good decision, would have been better rested had I slept in the car. Very dirty – lots of build-up of filth in the corners of the room, hairs in the shower and uncleaned toilet, all topped off by dead insects stuck to the wall. No staff available on site after about 9:30pm to discuss this issue with (could have been solved with a room change, for instance). In a subsequent complaint to the hotel, the issue was handled in an unhelpful and slow manner.

Positives: near the highway, enabling customers to get out of this place quickly. "Free" (but by no means secure) parking. The member of staff who checked me in was reasonably friendly.

Will not return. Definitely the worst Ibis Budget I have stayed in.
