Where to stay in Aachen

Good hotel, close to City center just 5 minutes walking. To shopping centers and historical places just 5 minutes. There is a nice nature park in front of the hotel . The rooms with Single bed are very small.

Clean and very basic. Very big apartment. The lighting is terrible and TV channels has very bad reception. Breakfast was very good

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Very close walk to the carolus therme! Compact but confortable rooms with a nice bathroom and shower. Has AC which was much needed on a humid day.

Great option if you are a family. It's a small hotel but the location is good, the breakfast is decent, and they have a couple of oversized rooms that fit all four of us. We will come back.

Great hotel! I have been staying there for already 3 times. This year will go again. Suggest it to everyone. One minus tho, the breakfast is always the same... it is tasty but a deja vu breakfast, if you stay for longer than 3 days it get frustrating (at least for me)

It is very basic. What I like are the friendly staff and the surrounding areas are very quite.

Close to the location of the training we came to attend. The amenities are good, breakfast is decent but the wifi connection needs an upgrade.

Good breakfast selection of food and drinks, average rooms, small and even smaller toilets. The walls between the rooms are thin and not sound proof either and the place does get noisy depending on who your neighbours are.

The hotel is not upto date. Its a antique property. Its not so friendly environment. For breakfast you are not allowed to choose your seat even they are free. Breakfast coffee is horrible. The rate of almost euro 100 is also doesn't worth. A 3 star is also too much.

The staff at the hotel was wonderful. They are all helpful and friendly, especially Kevin. He took a good care of us especially we need help to heat up the food for my son. The room is comfortable. Parking is available for 14 euro. Be careful of the parking. Many people warned about the breaking in the cars.

Rooms are old style Novotel. Too warm. Cooling didn't work. Hotel doesn't have any special facilities but is decent. my experience was marred by significant issues. The lack of attention to cleanliness severely undermines the otherwise value-for-money proposition of this hotel. I hope the management will address these issues promptly to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.

Hi, the hotel and rooms are very beautiful and well decorated. In the swimming pool too less beds were available to relax and really enjoy the pool. The diner at the restaurant is not of a high quailty what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. You can better go to the Aachen centrum for dinner, it is cheaper and better quality. It’s a beautiful hotel with lovely staff, and I can whole-heartedly recommend a stay here. - the bed is extremely comfortable. Lovely, older but grand property close to inner city as well as CHIO. Staff was exceptionally pleasant. Room was large and comfortable, not the most modern but had a lot of character and old world charm. Delicious breakfast and lovely outdoor terrace. Spa was very nice and reasonable for a hotel spa. I will definitely book here again!

GREAT from any point of view. Hotel or palace? The architecture, the size of the rooms, the decoration, a big "wow!" Oversized room, large closets, real desk, safe, coffee maker... staff (reception, maintenance, service) at the top, equipment (pool, gym, sauna, rest room...) well beyond some hotels of the same price (the photos of the site are very realistic!), the breakfast is gargantuan, if the weather...

pros: best smiling staff. everybody's friendly and cordial. pool, sauna and gym are more than adequate. quite near to the downtown. breakfast and dinner options are just great. cons: bathroom floor was not clean. water was free for the first night only. Cmon guys it's only water. coffee machine was very limited with no cream or milk or decaf options. no microwave or fridge.

Loved this hotel. Not far from central, about 2km. Lobby is nice. Room is spacious with very comfortable pillows and bed! Black out curtains are plus point! Toilet is clean and big. Breakfast is good. Friendly staff.

Hotel was okay. We asked for double bed. And received 2 beds, with 2 small blankets like for kids. Man 185sm was not able cover all his body with those blankets. Shower was good. Breakfast very good. In Hotel a lot of kids

In general very good, unfortunately they promised not to enter the room (no-service) for health reasons which I agreed totally and I requested no towel refreshing for ecology. They always changed towels and in the end they changed bedding as well, therefore they broke their own safety measures. This was really upsetting. The measures in theory are very good as well as the cleanliness.

Nice rooms, good breakfast, wonderful restaurant location, free in-room drinks, nice gym. Poor dinner menu, no free parking, slightly expensive.

Central location and really great rooms. The view in my room was marvelous.

Our room was clean, as was the rest of the hotel that we saw. Air Conditioning was a blessing, since during our stay temperatures in Aachen his 103F/39C. The desk space was adequate for me to work while my wife was out at a conference during the week. The TV had several HDMI inputs, but we couldn't get any of them to show on the screen so we could stream movies, so we had to rely on the laptop screen...

Very well located hotel close to the Cathedral and old town but also close to the main shopping street. The tourist information centre is only a few hundred metres away. Rooms are decorated in a contemporary uncluttered way. There is no restaurant for evening meals but there are many restaurants within an easy walking distance. Train station is a 10 to 15 minute walk away. We enjoyed our time here

Central location, my superior room is clean and the bed is comfortable. Breakfast offers good choice which should cater for everyone. My only complaint is that they do not offer evening meals.

Everyone was very friendly and the hotel is clean. Our room was very very small and even though we asked for quiet rooms and the windows are sound reduced, we could still hear the traffic and people on the street yelling all night. New hotel and facility was excellent except shampoo. You have to bring it, but other than that location wise, price wise, I was so happy with the room and services. They also have wonderful breakfast at 16.50 euro with ham, salmon, cheese, nice breads fruits yogurt etc.

Very nice hotel. Very good breakfast. Only about 5 minutes to walk to the dom, town hall and treasury. And about 10 minutes to the shopping centre. The reason why I only gave it 4 stars is: the Wi-Fi wasn't working in our room. If you are reliant on it, it can be very frustrating. But the gentleman said he would look into it.

The Hotel has a perfect location. It is just next to the downtown (altstadt). The breakfast is very good as well. The internet connection could be better. If u depends on internet, I recommend to choose another hotel.

Great place for family and location is very good.

Very cozy and completely satisfied our needs. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel but it was possible to have breakfast at the hotel. We found it was cheaper and more enjoyable to have food in the town of Aachen. Check in was extremely efficient and an overall very pleasurable stay.

It's so quiet at night.

The room was very clean, spacious and the bed comfortable. Extremely good value for money. Would definitely stay there again. They also have a comprehensive menu for dinner which they serve until 9pm. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet is great, with lots of choice and delicious bread rolls.

Big clean rooms, quiet locality, swimming pool, and reasonable prices. Some of the rooms are located on the lower floors of an apartment complex. No complaints.

I've visited the hotel over many years and being part of a retirement house doesn't detract from the quality service. The room are always in good condition and always clean. The staff are also very accommodating with various requests. Breakfast is always great here and I simply cannot fault the quality. We arrived after a long time driving in traffic jams and were friendly greeted and helpful assisted. We needed extra blankets and that was not a problem. Our family room was large and with comfortable beds! The breakfast was good and our room was clean. Thanks for a good service 👍😃

Delicious tea and beer! Also the pretty lady Maria at the bar was so kind to give us several time some snacks so we did order more drinks! Was lovely Spanish/German lady ! I did not sleep in the Hotel but the Bar was great and cosy that moment!

Really nice staff, fairly clean and spacious hotel. The "Style" part is given by vibrant colors all throughout the design of the hotel. Breakfast is the typical continental but I had way better in other hotels -- although can't compare in Aachen. Overall, good price/quality ratio. Recommended for short stays.

We love this place, we keep coming back every time we visit Aachen. The colors in the hotel are lively, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is great. On top of that the price for a stay is very low and it is walking distance from the center, but you can park your car near the hotel. The personnel is friendly and staying there always makes me have a smile on my face, we would go back every time.

Pleasant surprises in a number of criteria that are important for me when visiting a hotel: 1) Warm water in the shower. Really. At 7am. When everyone is in the shower. (Many even high-price hotel are a total fail here.) 2) Very smart (i.e. "not everything but certainly the right ones") food selection for breakfast, including (extremely rare!) a decent chocolate powder. 3) Helpful staff proactively...

I found this hotel very neat and clean and economical. The star was their huge continental breakfast in the morning. They also provide a free self-service based tea and coffee option throughout the day till 10.00 pm and the free croissants and/ or fruit at the reception.

Great location. Close to famous thermal Baths and the Aachen Cathedral. Shopping. All within walking distance. Excellent breakfast buffet. Fresh and delicious. Conplimenary coffee was also so good! Staff is very friendly and most of them speak English. Room is very cheerful and clean. I was surprised to get such value for the price.

The unit was lovely. Only catch was the 5th floor with no lift. We had already been on holiday for one week so bags was full. Also the no washing machine, whereas my friend who stayed two levels down had and his unit was cheaper

Booked Xmas 2018 . Started off disappointingly when we couldn’t access our room as our keys were taken by another holiday couple. The problem we realised is that multiple keys are kept in one key locker and so ours was mistakenly taken. Very clean and beautiful place with a lot of space. Calm neighborhood where you can let your car on the streets. Only thing bad is the heater was off during the two nights I spent in the place, but on during the days.
