3 star hotels in Aachen

Everything was perfect! It’s a stone’s throw away from the Aachen Cathedral. The only reason I gave it four stars in one of the criteria is because the pillows were not comfortable. I have a bad neck, so having a good pillow is crucial for me.

Good hotel, good service and best lication

The room and bathroom of this hotel are not big but sufficient. The room is bright with two large windows, but the large windows are not soundproof. The hotel is very noisy on the street, and the sound of passing cars is huge. We checked in on the weekend. The street pub and passers-by downstairs were noisy all night and did not stop until 6 o'clock in the morning. I wanted to give a bad review, but...

The hotel is located just 3 min away from the Cathedral. The staff was very friendly.

I’ve been staying at the Mercure Am Dom for nearly 10 years when I travel to Aachen. Recently, I’ve tried the new hotel MotelOne, and I think the Mercure Am Dom is a better hotel with larger rooms and better amenities. I prefer this hotel and will definitely stay again.

the bathrooms are very clean and the single rooms are quite neat, there is a safe for valuables also in the closet

Very nice hotel. Very good breakfast. Only about 5 minutes to walk to the dom, town hall and treasury. And about 10 minutes to the shopping centre. The reason why I only gave it 4 stars is: the Wi-Fi wasn't working in our room. If you are reliant on it, it can be very frustrating. But the gentleman said he would look into it.

The Hotel has a perfect location. It is just next to the downtown (altstadt). The breakfast is very good as well. The internet connection could be better. If u depends on internet, I recommend to choose another hotel.

The rooms may look a bit outdated, but everything is in order. The service is very good and so is the breakfast. Would recommend.

If you accept the shoddy 80s interior and thin walls, the stay is pleasant. Very polite staff. Close to the center an train station. Not worth 81 EUR including breakfast, though.

The price is pretty high, but the stay was good. Probably could benefit from a fridge and a tiny teapot. The breakfast usually had no eggs, they were all gone.

Good breakfast selection of food and drinks, average rooms, small and even smaller toilets. The walls between the rooms are thin and not sound proof either and the place does get noisy depending on who your neighbours are.

Small but friendly and clean hotel, rooms to the back are quiet, windows open for fresh air. I had a single room and struggled to fit on the mattress which seemed to be rather short. Not a problem for people under 190 cm. Nice pillow. Okay water pressure in the shower.

Perfectly situated for an event at the Eurogress conference centre. Everything was clean and tidy. Small, but modernised bathrooms. The highlight was the breakfast, that was much better than equivalent hotels in this category. Good breakfast selection, presented with love.

Does a job Not bad, but needs modernising

My booking and communications experience with this hotel & its team was great. But their services & empathy really stood out. I had to cancel a trip, a day before my arrival. The bookings team immediately reassured me that they do utmost to resell the rooms, and if successful, refund the booking costs to me. They did so, on one of the busiest weekends, and I earnestly appreciate their efforts.

The room was a bit small but cozy. The breakfast was good, and the staff was very friendly. It was very loud in our room from the traffic, but other than that it's a good hotel to stay in!

The room was very clean, spacious and the bed comfortable. Extremely good value for money. Would definitely stay there again. They also have a comprehensive menu for dinner which they serve until 9pm. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet is great, with lots of choice and delicious bread rolls.

Big clean rooms, quiet locality, swimming pool, and reasonable prices. Some of the rooms are located on the lower floors of an apartment complex. No complaints.

I've visited the hotel over many years and being part of a retirement house doesn't detract from the quality service. The room are always in good condition and always clean. The staff are also very accommodating with various requests. Breakfast is always great here and I simply cannot fault the quality. One thing may be irritating and that is the noise the crowd make in the trees after sunset in the...

Great place for family and location is very good.

Very cozy and completely satisfied our needs. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel but it was possible to have breakfast at the hotel. We found it was cheaper and more enjoyable to have food in the town of Aachen. Check in was extremely efficient and an overall very pleasurable stay.

Brand new rooms, really nice. Located in lowest level of building, Sapperlot le Bistro has highest quality food/menu. Excellent food, coffee and deserts. Fast take out too.

The room is spacious and clean. The gentleman working on the desk is very helpful, polite and speaks excellent English. I would love to stay here again.

Modern and comfy apartment. Fully equipped kitchen. Historical city center is on very short walking distance. Supermarket and parking lots near the main entrance.

Clean and stylish apartment. Not too much there, so bring things like your own shampoo. Kitchen is very well equipped, if extremely small. Location is convenient, almost everything is walkable downtown. Staff was very pleasant.

The unit was lovely. Only catch was the 5th floor with no lift. We had already been on holiday for one week so bags was full. Also the no washing machine, whereas my friend who stayed two levels down had and his unit was cheaper

Booked Xmas 2018 . Started off disappointingly when we couldn’t access our room as our keys were taken by another holiday couple. The problem we realised is that multiple keys are kept in one key locker and so ours was mistakenly taken. Very clean and beautiful place with a lot of space. Calm neighborhood where you can let your car on the streets. Only thing bad is the heater was off during the two nights I spent in the place, but on during the days.

Nice hotel with great gym and sauna. Rooms are good, not small and not huge. But more than okay. I our first room the air-conditioning didn't work, but we received another room which was perfect. Stayed here for 3 nights on work trip. Great staff. Lovely view from rooftop breakfast/bar. Breakfast good. Nice that soft drinks and beer in fridge on the house. Good to see hotel also showcasing works by local artist. Would not hesitate to recommend.

It was nice that it was close to the conference hall. It wasn't too far from the city center either. It was within walking distance. I also liked the free drinks that were replenished every day.

The service wasn't perfect - at least for a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was refilled too late. The service staff was perhaps a little too limited. All in all not bad. Price and performance did not match 100%. However, I would definitely go there again.

very nice hotel near the outer ring of the city. Only about a 10 minute drive to downtown, 15-20 minutes to RWTH. My room was spacious with a separate bedroom. There was a small kitchen but there were absolutely no plates, utensils, pots, etc. The dining room did let me take a fork, knife and plate to keep in my room. Underground parking is available for €15 per night.

I booked this hotel for swimming pool, and it’s beyond my expectation. The swimming pool is not big, but with shower, fitting room, toilets and shampoo/hairdryer. These rooms and water in the pool are warm and you don‘t need to worry about getting cold after swimming. Really nice for relaxing. The rooms are modern and spacious, with balcony, small kitchen, TV, etc. Although a little far from city center...

Good hotel. But not exactly what you expect from a 4-star hotel. Location great, quiet and clean rooms but not fancy, breakfast is noramal and menities are limited: No toothpaste and toothbrush, no shoe polish, no slippers, no iron, no bathrobe, no working chair and no smart air conditioning and heating which made room a bit cold and unpleasant for me.

We come here regularly. Always good here. Clean, neat rooms. Furnishing a bit dated but fine. And a very fine bed. Breakfast is also always neatly taken care of. Parking does cost 8 euros per day extra.

Some rooms are a bit cold due to lack of heating. The rooms are a bit drafty. But overall the rooms are very nice. Overall, the price is worth the service and facilities.

The Hotel staff were excellent and really friendly, professional and really great service in every aspect. The Hotel website says it has a Restaurant which is why I booked it as I didn’t want to go anywhere else. Unfortunately this is not the case, I was told there are no Restaurant facilities due to the lack of a cook. The Bar offers Pizzas which was not particularly Good. Service though was excellent
