3 star hotels in Aachen

Everything was perfect! It’s a stone’s throw away from the Aachen Cathedral. The only reason I gave it four stars in one of the criteria is because the pillows were not comfortable. I have a bad neck, so having a good pillow is crucial for me.

Good location and room was fine overall, except that there was a small bug in our room Apart from that, it was a great stay and staff very friendly

Good hotel, good service and best lication

The room and bathroom of this hotel are not big but sufficient. The room is bright with two large windows, but the large windows are not soundproof. The hotel is very noisy on the street, and the sound of passing cars is huge. We checked in on the weekend. The street pub and passers-by downstairs were noisy all night and did not stop until 6 o'clock in the morning. I wanted to give a bad review, but...

The hotel is located just 3 min away from the Cathedral. The staff was very friendly.

I’ve been staying at the Mercure Am Dom for nearly 10 years when I travel to Aachen. Recently, I’ve tried the new hotel MotelOne, and I think the Mercure Am Dom is a better hotel with larger rooms and better amenities. I prefer this hotel and will definitely stay again.

the bathrooms are very clean and the single rooms are quite neat, there is a safe for valuables also in the closet

Very nice hotel. Very good breakfast. Only about 5 minutes to walk to the dom, town hall and treasury. And about 10 minutes to the shopping centre. The reason why I only gave it 4 stars is: the Wi-Fi wasn't working in our room. If you are reliant on it, it can be very frustrating. But the gentleman said he would look into it.

The Hotel has a perfect location. It is just next to the downtown (altstadt). The breakfast is very good as well. The internet connection could be better. If u depends on internet, I recommend to choose another hotel.

The rooms may look a bit outdated, but everything is in order. The service is very good and so is the breakfast. Would recommend.

If you accept the shoddy 80s interior and thin walls, the stay is pleasant. Very polite staff. Close to the center an train station. Not worth 81 EUR including breakfast, though.

The price is pretty high, but the stay was good. Probably could benefit from a fridge and a tiny teapot. The breakfast usually had no eggs, they were all gone.

Good breakfast selection of food and drinks, average rooms, small and even smaller toilets. The walls between the rooms are thin and not sound proof either and the place does get noisy depending on who your neighbours are.

My booking and communications experience with this hotel & its team was great. But their services & empathy really stood out. I had to cancel a trip, a day before my arrival. The bookings team immediately reassured me that they do utmost to resell the rooms, and if successful, refund the booking costs to me. They did so, on one of the busiest weekends, and I earnestly appreciate their efforts.

The room was a bit small but cozy. The breakfast was good, and the staff was very friendly. It was very loud in our room from the traffic, but other than that it's a good hotel to stay in!

Good hotel, close to City center just 5 minutes walking. To shopping centers and historical places just 5 minutes. There is a nice nature park in front of the hotel . The rooms with Single bed are very small.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Very close walk to the carolus therme! Compact but confortable rooms with a nice bathroom and shower. Has AC which was much needed on a humid day.

Great option if you are a family. It's a small hotel but the location is good, the breakfast is decent, and they have a couple of oversized rooms that fit all four of us. We will come back.

The room was very clean, spacious and the bed comfortable. Extremely good value for money. Would definitely stay there again. They also have a comprehensive menu for dinner which they serve until 9pm. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet is great, with lots of choice and delicious bread rolls.

Big clean rooms, quiet locality, swimming pool, and reasonable prices. Some of the rooms are located on the lower floors of an apartment complex. No complaints.

I've visited the hotel over many years and being part of a retirement house doesn't detract from the quality service. The room are always in good condition and always clean. The staff are also very accommodating with various requests. Breakfast is always great here and I simply cannot fault the quality. One thing may be irritating and that is the noise the crowd make in the trees after sunset in the...

Great place for family and location is very good.

Very cozy and completely satisfied our needs. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel but it was possible to have breakfast at the hotel. We found it was cheaper and more enjoyable to have food in the town of Aachen. Check in was extremely efficient and an overall very pleasurable stay.

Nice hotel built not too long ago. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They have parking but there is more then enough free parking around the hotel. Good breakfast!

Good value for money. Rooms are nice. Breakfast under the level. Error in the system caused another deposit on my card so waited for days for releasing the funds. Breakfast and error are reasons for only three stars at the service and 4 stars overall. Otherwise nice hotel.

A nice modern hotel which has a bit of cheaper materials used than you might expect. The rooms are okay, nice but not fancy. The breakfast is elaborated. The staff is helpful.

Our stay in the hotel on weekend was ok. They offer company receipt and even sent an electronic one. We paid €130/night for a room and breakfast for 2. The buffet breakfast was very good as they offer American breakfast (which is I like) and also the normal ones. Our only problem was, we found hair on the bed linen and on the side table. There is also a watermark on it which is a sign that it was not...

This is a very competent Business hotel. The rooms are well designed. The hotel is well maintained. The staff is helpful and graciously tolerates non-German speakers. The only two negative issues are a below average fitness center and no mini refrigerator in the room.

Stayed here over a night . the room is clean and okay , the shower can be better if its with glassy doors instead of curtain for such tiny place . the breakfast was okay as well

Solid choice in the periphery. Pool opens at 8 and closes at 22. Elevator, parking, fridge. TV rather small, but international channels.

The hotel is not upto date. Its a antique property. Its not so friendly environment. For breakfast you are not allowed to choose your seat even they are free. Breakfast coffee is horrible. The rate of almost euro 100 is also doesn't worth. A 3 star is also too much.

Decently priced place with kind and helpful staff, very well located close to the central train station, yet in walking distance of the city centre, and with a nice breakfast buffet. The interior design - especially in the rooms - might be a bit old fashioned, but has its charm.

Pros-3 blocks from train station, walking distance to restaurants (try "Im Alten Zollhaus" up the street) and shopping, clean & recently remodeled. Free breakfast buffet was good. Staff was great! Cons-No air conditioning, no ventilation in bathroom.

I went to Aachen on a business trip. To be honest I had a tiny little bit better expectations, but it provided most of what i needed. It was clean, relatively quiet and extremely well situated. The room was small but very clean. The main issue was that there was nothing that could compensate the lack of an AC unit during the warm days. The window opened was also not an option due to the noise coming from the street even during night hours.

Relatively small hotel and that translates into every where in the hotel. The room I was in was really small, elevator is for two people at a time, hallways are narrow etc... Room was clean and service was good. Breakfast was great, WiFi signal and speed was good also. There was no thermostat in the room, got to use the window to manage the temperature.

Always great food at the Heide. The Lammrücken was delicious. Service was really fast and very attentive. My first time was 20 years ago and had the best steak in Deutschland.

The room was clean and quiet. We arrived early evening and we're directed to the restaurant to check in. Even though it was a non-smoking room, the room smelled of cigarettes.

Clean and stylish apartment. Not too much there, so bring things like your own shampoo. Kitchen is very well equipped, if extremely small. Location is convenient, almost everything is walkable downtown. Staff was very pleasant.

The unit was lovely. Only catch was the 5th floor with no lift. We had already been on holiday for one week so bags was full. Also the no washing machine, whereas my friend who stayed two levels down had and his unit was cheaper

Booked Xmas 2018 . Started off disappointingly when we couldn’t access our room as our keys were taken by another holiday couple. The problem we realised is that multiple keys are kept in one key locker and so ours was mistakenly taken. We had to wait about an hour for the manager to turn up & convince the couple to leave our apartment & for the room to be cleaned. The Manager was genuinely sorry about...

Very clean and beautiful place with a lot of space. Calm neighborhood where you can let your car on the streets. Only thing bad is the heater was off during the two nights I spent in the place, but on during the days.

Quality to price, the hotel was perfect. We needed something close to the train station with easy access to downtown. The room was clean with plenty of room for two people. The staff could speak English and were very friendly and helpful. We chose the breakfast option and just about everything you would expect from a buffet was available. We highly recommend the hotel, especially if you are on a budget

The front desk staff were very welcoming, the hotel was a lovely modern/chic and the room although a tad small by Canadian standards was extremely comfortable. The only little hiccup, is that I never figured out how to get the ventilation to recirculate the air in the room. Otherwise the overall experience was marvelous.

Hotel well positioned to explore the city. The city center is just 10/15 min walk, and the train station just 5 min walk. Thr room was clean and the bed comfortable. I missed the tea/coffe making machine in the room.

A nice hotel near to the Aachen Hauptbahnhof. If you are a family (and therefore cannot stay at A&O Hostels), you can give this hotel a chance. The prices were not that high, although the breakfast is expensive. We chose to grab something from Moss nearby, so that worked for us. The service was great and the people at reception were always ready to help us.

Very nice little hotel with everything you need for a weekend getaway. The arrival could have been better, it looked like staff was changing shifts or so. But after that it was all uphill with a modern room with all facilities and a wonderful breakfast. Walking distance to the center and to the shopping area at the border of the city. Parking around the hotel free from 7pm until 9am. Recommended!

Very nice location, in the middle of the centre. The best conditorei is next around the corner. The location is next to the shopping centre. The rooms are spacious, beds are firm(perfect). The parking garage is 4 minute walk from the hotel. Nice staff.
