Very good Hotel. Very good kitchen. Fantastic dinner.

I was here two times. The food so far is very good and would come again to try 'fish' dishes.

We were in this year 2015, for the 3. Changes in the Klösterle Hof and are always delighted by the warm welcome, the excellent menu and attentive Service. Klösterle Hof is a gem in this beautiful part of the black forest, and can all be recommended only in search of rest and hikes also a culinary Highlight.

Rating only refers to the cafe and the ambience. Just wanted to have a quick coffee after a walk through the village and stopped by the Hotel Cafe Restaurant Zum Kranz. Ambience takes a bit of getting used to. It felt like time had stopped there. Coffee was good and the price was okay too.

Situated out of town this is a cheap and cheerful little german hotel. The staff were lovely. They spoke little english but you know what, You're in Germany, get over it and around it. Some might say it needs updating , but i think the 70s look was actually lush. It was super clean and tidy and well appointed rooms. The food was really good and our waiter was amazing. Nice, clean and affordable hotel specially if you get an offer of 2 rooms together. However, WiFi was only available in the reception not inside rooms. It is nice if somebody wants to stay in the middle of the black forest away from noisy cities but it can also feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. However, the nearest town Freudenstadt is not too far.

Great service, clean room, good breakfast and friendly staff....much better than the Chain hotels we stayed in cities.

Hotel is nice, everything is clean, beds are decent. Staff is polite although they don't speak English. Breakfast is good but without many options. Food is good.

There is no laundry service so don’t plan on doing laundry. Otherwise, this place is pure heaven!

Likely one of the best hidden gems in Germany. Exceptional staff and location resulted in a restful and rejuvenating stay. The meals were delicious and prepared with local fresh ingredients. The access to the Black Forest is literally steps away; be it hiking or biking. Few suggestions, 1) book a room on the lake side as the road is a bit loud at night and 2) bring a pillow as the ones provided...

Staff very friendly. The room Size was found in order, only the bed I as too small. The balcony was three rooms are accessible without separation. Breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, it was awakened by reconstruction measures, at 7.30 am.

It was a nice hotel with reasonable price in between the mountain with good view. Recommended.

Is very strange to find nice people on Germany and here they were very nice and friendly. Also the room was very nice my only recommendation is to include a fan since the balcony is shared and opening the door maybe is not an option

Very nice and personable hosts. Our room was super clean and that goes for the entire house. Our palates were delighted with the meal and the house dessert was a stunner. The breakfast was also plentiful and after this we were driven to our station to continue walking along the Westweg. Overall a very successful stay :) Thank you very much!

My family and I are returning after Christmas with the family Schmelzle. I opted for the venison medallions with homemade dumplings and cranberries. Absolutely excellent, authentic, and traditional black forest cuisine. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair. Highly recommended.

I have been 2 or 3 times at the Löwen-Post restaurant in the last few years. The food keeps getting better every time. From classical dishes like an Ochsenbäckle with Dunkelbier sauce (see picture attached to this review), to the Schweinshaxe, to innovative dishes like a Rhabarber Tiramisu with Holunder Parfait (also pictured in this review), it was, together with the nice beers from the Alpirsbacher...

The Hotel was a perfect start location for our cycling trips. Good service and friendly and helpfull staff. Clean and nice Hotel rooms. The only thing we missed was a lock up room for our cycling bikes.

Stay the 3 rd of march 2020 . Good & nice place , great room with all confort, on the ground floor, it seems new ... Excellent welcome, nice dinner , menu in english , useful for the foreigner .. I recommend

Everything was excellent. The rooms are large and very clean, the views are beautiful, the food is amazing. Worth staying again here.

5 Star service nothing to much trouble cleanliness second to none, food excellent. Another bonus is the Konus card free trains buses and entrance to museums, chair lifts golf plus lots more all for nothing. Visiting Black Forest this is the place to go and stay.

Awesome little hotel, far away from the crowds. A true hideaway and if you want you are not reachable due to the missing GSM network. But no worries, the hotel team has a trick it still works. We will sure come back.

I really enjoyed staying here but I didn’t quite feel like I got my money’s worth. If you go make sure you check the hours of the restaurant and amenities. Also the wifi doesn’t work very well.

Staying in this hotel and enjoying the spa was a dream. The location is very idyllic, surrounded by beautiful nature in a very quiet environment. All the areas invite you to relax. The diner was perfect and the breakfast offered lots of choice.

Although located outside of the town, it is a pretty walkable distance to the town centre (Less than 20 mins depending on how fast you walk) but do note that it's not flat. Hotel Teuchelwald is a wonderful place to stay. It is built on a Hill with greeny Parks and flowers. It has a hot swimming pool. An excellent Kirchen and bar with the best rooms. Perfect place to stay in Freudenstadt.

Location of Kniebis: About 10km west of Freudenstadt the nearest rail station. Buses to Kniebis from Freudenstadt every hour weekdays or two on Sundays during day. Ideal hiking country with Kniebis at the top of a mountain pass. The town was once a holiday Mecca but lost our to cheep package holidays in 1970/80s and most hotels closed. We arrived late in the evening, and were welcomed with a lovely hand written letter explaining where our room is and inviting us to breakfast the next morning. Amazing location on the crossroads of multiple walking paths, and quality service. Overall good experience.

We checked in today and so far we absolutely love it, the food from the restaurant is delicious and prepared with love. We are staying in the apartment and its absolutely perfect for my husband and myself and fits our two large dogs easily.

The reviews and the website promised a little too much. But okay for the price. The facility no longer meets the current standards. The staff all made up for this with their friendliness.

Nestled away from all traffic and surrounded by forest, adorned with a beautiful wooded park that can be enjoyed as well as the 1500m2 of SPA and swimming pool area. A family welcome in all the nobility of the term and a cuisine that is well worth French tables. Amply justified value for money. A great discovery that I recommend.

Excellent Hotel with super rooms, very nice and pleasant Spa area, really friendly staff and children are welcome and can belong after 2 days, almost to the family. Also a great location to the ski lift Kniebis ( about 150m). And the food was really a dream. Since we would like to go again.

Off the beaten track, pleasant surroundings. Basic, clean lodgings, friendly. The hotel has a lovely garden but during our visit there was no possibility to have a drink or eat outside. Unfortunate the owners do not make more of this feature.

Fantastic quiet hotel tucked away between a hill and stream . Rooms are clean , tidy and spacious , with gravel parking across the road . Evening meal and breakfast had quality and quantity . Staff really friendly and helpful .

Fantastic food and service for fair prices. The perfect place if you like it a bit more quiet and enjoy great food. The level is very high. Example: not only a great selection of fruit at the breakfast buffet no it’s clearly hand selected for really tasty ones. Audience is more in the nature side and the hotel Is not that catered for children. For us it’s the perfect place to be.

I don't think it's necessary to rate this place, but here we go. We stopped just for a cold beer and had the BEST Black Angus steak EVER. Although we weren't guests and looked tired and dirty (we were riding motorcycles) we were welcome accepted, got a table and ate the best meal ever. Five stars SUPERIOR does mean something. Breakfast / Food top Level We had issues with one waiter very agressive with his colleagues. The massages mentioned with our reservation were not booked and no excuse. No other choice than to accept available slot for the massage. Young noisely kids broke the supposed calm of the spa. Pitty because it is a fantastic place but the sales approach is not on the level of the 5*S

Hotel Dollenberg is a nice and elegant hotel. The Spa facilities are really huge and good. The staff is nice and friendly. I can recommend this place in Schwarzwald. I found the Dollenberg Resort to be lovely, relaxing, along with solitude. I found myself wanting to stay two or three extra days. If you wish to get away, and let the quiet speak to you, then visit soon.

Beautiful views, excellent food and lovely facilities. Unfortunately the town was rather run down.Waiting service at dinner was really friendly but very slow. Waited a long time in between courses. Large spacious room, spectacular views but let down by everything being covered in dust. On the whole didn’t we got value for money.

Lovely traditional German hotel in the suburbs of Freudenstadt. It had a bath with shower over, which was slippery and rather outdated nowadays. Good underground parking. Large, spacious bedroom - very quiet and comfortable. Excellent fresh breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff, plus a nice free indoor swimming pool. Good value too at around €85 for two including breakfast. I'd be happy to stay here...

It was a wonderful and very relaxing stay with very very friendly staff. The bathrooms are somewhat outdated, but clean and well maintained. We will definitely make again there on vacation.
