Breakfast buffet and food at the restaurant were both great! Staff very friendly. Our bed was not the most comfortable but fine for a couple of nights.there also wasn’t a lift to get to the 2nd floor. Still all in all a positive experience.

Lovely building situated on a slope directly below the old church, view over fields and hills. Slightly elevated ground floor with cosy restaurant, breakfast (vegetarian as requested) was terrific, lots of variety. Attentive and accommodating owners, very friendly despite our unplanned late arrival.

The staffs are really up to the task, have a great menu and outstanding service to say the least. Having a place like this in Holzhausen is sure a blessing, Keep up the good work fellas. You'll get more of me.

Hotel is very convenient for travellers who needs to stay overnight. 24h reception is essential. Very good breakfast, very clean rooms.

Small country inn, very cozy good kitchen and very friendly hosts. child friendly It's just something for hikers and for people who want to have peace and quiet.

Price performance does not match. I think 60 € for goulash and a brewing course is exaggerated.

The owner's family is very nice and accommodating, the rooms are very nicely furnished and the food and drink are very good, especially the home-brewed cellar beer is recommended.

Very nice facility where you can party comfortably. I was allowed to hold a school enrollment party there and only got to know nice, courteous staff. It will probably not be the last party there, again and again. The food was also very tasty and good 👍

We celebrated my parents' golden wedding anniversary there and what can I say ... Super great buffet, which left nothing to be desired. There was something for everyone and it was always refilled. We were allowed to decorate the room according to our own wishes and ideas. The staff just great. Price performance ratio is right. We will always be happy to come back.

Friendly people, the staff is great, a lot of people come out to play on the weekends. It's only 20 Euros if you have your own gear.

Perfect breakfast and restaurant. Very comfortable bed. Really cozy atmosphere. Located near the Molsdorf palace and not far from Erfurt and two highways (A71 and A4). Pets are not allowed. WiFi signal is weak.

Very good accommodation, everything clean and newly renovated. Only the dog winks like a wolf all night long so that you can't close your eyes. In the morning at 4:30 a.m. the rooster wakes you up until you finally get up.

Very great place. Due to this unpleasant Deutsche Bahn (why does such a great country have such a poor railway service?) experience resulting in 4 hours delay we arrived 23:30 at the place. The great clerk stayed up especially for us to welcome us at this lovely Schloss.

Modern hotel, comfy room, excellent breakfast. Location is good, 10-minute tram to reach the city centre. Staff was helpful, I particularly appreciated the hotel's flexibility to accept shortening the duration of my stay, after I checked in. For personal reasons I had to leave one night earlier.

It is very beautiful Christmas in the night days that we spent in the Hotel and in Erfurt. At the evening Dinner there were actually six dishes to choose from - there was something for everyone. The Breakfast buffet selection, coffee was in the thermos, and the vending machine rich offered available, even a daily newspaper was available. We will be back!

Very tastefully and practically furnished rooms. There is no elevator, which can be cumbersome with heavy luggage. The breakfast is simple and sufficient.

I didn't stay here myself, but had to get the key for some friends from England. Mrs Gerber was so helpful since we forgot the code of the automatic key getting thingy.

Wonderful accommodation for families with children, girls' reunions or a tour with the boys. 2 bathrooms, lots of space, lots of beds, ideal location, walking distance to town, free parking in the neighborhood.

Excellent hotel experience. The staff were all fantastic. The room was much bigger than other rooms in more expensive hotels so was great value and good quality. The restaurant served excellent food and I had the best Pretzel I have ever tasted. Such a shame I was only there for one night!

Quiet, unique little hostel just a short walk from most of the sites in Erfurt. The staff were friendly and the room was spacious. The staff do request that you pull the linens off of the beds before you leave, so do keep that in mind.

Good experience! Simple check in, helpful staff, clean room, and great local decor. My only gripe was that my room had terrible WiFi coverage. It seemed there was a few signals that kept cycling and disappearing. I would happily point any friends visiting Erfurt to the OPERA Hostel.

Excellent hostel located in charming Erfurt. The staff is relaxed and understanding (big props to the woman (with the dreads!) who checked me in - I can't recall her name, but she rules), the hostel has all the amenities a traveller needs, and the atmosphere is friendly and cozy. Got a good night's sleep every night, met a few nice folks. Would 100% recommend staying here. Apologies to the cleaning...

Great location, brilliant and helpful staff, clean (and I mean: clean) bathrooms, common areas and rooms, comfy bed (ever heard of a hostel bed that doesn't squeak? Yeah, here at Opera Hostel!), quiet neighborhood, fair prices. 10/10 would stay here again!

Opera Hostel is an excellent place to stay when you are in Erfurt. The unique setting of the old building, not far from Erfurt's historical center, gives the hostel a charming feel which I always enjoy. The rooms and bathrooms are sqeaky clean and the personnel is top-notch. You won't regret staying there.

Very beautiful location and wonderful people. Old Gasthaus, well maintained. The tram station just next to the wall. Melchendorf Market in 2 minutes walk. Breakfast have enough options. Only issue was location is far from HBF. If we want to go HBF early morning to catch any DB, or to comeback from HBF during late night its very difficult. Service was very friendly.

Slept here on our way north. Clean room, but mattresses really not the best. Breakfast was over standard compared to what you can expect in this price class. We were positively surprised. Check in was smooth and a nice and helpful receptionist. Place is acceptable for a quick stop over!

Clean, homely, and peaceful. The breakfast was great, plentiful, and diverse. Compared to the price, it was completely worth it.

This is a standard German 3-star hotel. Price is moderate, but the room is clean with furniture in good condition. Parking space is abundantly available, breakfast acceptable, free WiFi very fast. Other than being in Ilmenau - which isn't quite a hot spot - I can't fault this hotel for anything really. If you need to stay in town overnight, book here and you sure won't regret it.

To go into the Restaurant garden city is a very good decision, the food was delicious and was prepared quickly, the staff was friendly and the ambience very pleasant. The situation again is not so good, it is located directly at the railway station and is therefore very noisy. But I will still make a trip there.

Very nice little hotel not far from the church. Very clean and well-kept rooms. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The staff is friendly and helpful. We used the hotel as a base for our two-day BUGA visit to Erfurt, about 35 minutes by car from the hotel.

The bed is a little narrower. I have the feeling that as a holidaymaker you are not in such good hands. Business people or fitters leave the house pretty quickly. Vacationers like to sleep a little longer and you have the feeling you should leave the house quickly and have breakfast early so that it can be cleared and cleaned. Sorry, otherwise very nice and great breakfast.

It is very near to bhanhof and is in the city centre. People are also nice and not so much expensive also. Overall looks good. Rooms are big and beautiful.

We recommend! Room super comfortable and clean with a garden view! The location in the old town is also great. The lack of a parking space was also not a problem, since the multi-storey car park at the cathedral can be reached in three minutes. The breakfast was very lovingly prepared and nothing was missing! There was even gluten-free bread.. which is a problem in some larger hotels, wasn't a problem...
