A great hotel to visit the city of Bamberg We had a very nice room and we were greeted by a gentleman Sven Schwarzbach he was very friendly and helpful we checked in in the afternoon and we met by a gentleman Sebastian Hechler he also was very friendly and helpful for this made our stay very special the lady at the breakfast was equally friendly. The breakfast was very nice and we will definitely return to this place.

Had a major sewage issue- all of the hotel smelled like poop. Staff did nothing about it.

People say that Australia is built for summer so we freeze in winter. So far it appears German hotels, at least the old ones, are built for winter so you melt in summer. It was 32 degrees. No aircon. I accept these buildings are old but the old hotel in Berlin provided a very effective pedestal fan. That aside. Friendly helpful staff. Some say it is old but clearly some renos have been judging by my very modern bathroom. But still you’re only here for a couple of nights, if things work what does it matter if the carpet is a bit worn? People say it’s next to the old town, true in a sense but there are many closer places, for which you no doubt pay appropriately. It’s basically a 10-15 min walk to the old places. I don’t mind getting some exercise when on holidays and eating and drinking too much. Overall if you’re not too fussy and its not hot a good solid choice for a place to stay

Customer Service 5⭐️ - feels family run
It's an old hotel with lot's of characters but also with nice ND comfortable modern furnishings. Above all, the staff was so kind and helpful as if we were in a 5 star resort. Close to the hauptbahnhof and has an underground garage where we could also lock up our ebikes. The breakfast was a bit expensive but the food was very fresh and tasty. I highly recommend staying here as a nice addition to Babergs friendly and welcoming vibe.

The location is OK, close to the train station. But it was too loud, because we had to open the windows. It was too hot. No air condioning - big minus. Personal was really friendly.

The thing that was nice was that it was close to the city center. Otherwise, the room was super small (for 2 people above average high it felt almost claustrophobic), bed very bouncy when one of us would move, bed sheets felt like paper. Our shades for the window didn’t work and the little dark curtain barely covered the window. The bathroom didn’t have a proper door, it was all glass and not much privacy when sitting on the toilet. For hygienic reasons they said they do not do room service which in my opinion is just them being cheap. We did not book the breakfast option so no comment on that.
