Where to stay in Bergisch Gladbach

A well-run hotel, lavishly decorated before Christmas, good and clean spa area, lovely atmosphere. All of the works of art in the hotel by Georg Baselith and Markus Lüpertz deserve a special tour.

It's a bit old, but that's the atmosphere of the castle hotel. It's nice to experience it. The restaurant and bar at night are also very good. The restaurant service is very good. The guy can speak a few words of Chinese, which is a plus.

The front office agents are super helpful and nice! A beautiful hotel to stay and love the small town. People there are so friendly. Highly recommended to visit!

Because I couldn't book a room in Cologne during the Cologne Game Show, I booked this hotel. It's in the small town of Bensberg, about 30 minutes by taxi from Cologne Train Station, which is a bit far. But the hotel is very comfortable, with a beautiful environment, and there are gardens in front and back, suitable for family vacations. The breakfast is rich in variety, and the waiters are very pretty

Parking to access was unclear. Hotel guest may have some luggage, therefore easier access is required. Room is quite good and view to see colognes city (it is far from hotel) is good

Breakfast was superb. Venue was beautiful. No coffee or tea making facilities. A promise of this and signs in hotel saying it was available in communal areas but nothing provided during the 3 days we stayed. Staff member refused to give us tokens for machine in reception and insisted we pay. For the cost of our stay we found this very poor. Also booked a double room but it was 2 twin beds pushed...

Unique location. For diner you have to travel a bit. Breakfast is extremely eloborate. Super. Room is nice and clean.

The property was admittedly further out from Cologne than we initially thought but the hotel itself was fantastic with a rail service and bus service bringing you straight to the front entrance. The rooms were perfect for our one night stay and the breakfast we had was exceptional. If I was ever back in this area I would certainly stay here again!

You feel at home right from the moment you arrive. Beautiful room in a beautifully restored old half-timbered house. Great breakfast in the conservatory between the various buildings. Great staff at reception, at breakfast, and at check-out.

The hotel is very centrally located in Bensberg. The shopping street is just two minutes away. I received a very friendly welcome and was shown around. My room was in an annex. Booked here to spend an evening at the Mediterana Spa, which Google indicated was a 30-minute walk. What I didn’t notice is that walk is ENTIRELY downhill!!! A STEEP hill! Which is fine going TO the spa, but I quickly rethought my plans to walk back at the end of the evening. (Especially after sweating and snoozing for a few hours!) Should have taken more care in investigating. There was no restaurant and no air conditioning which is fine if you are expecting it. Reception was pretty good although the language was limited. But basically it boils down to me not taking enough care to choose properly.

Das Personal ist so super freundlich, sowas hab ich eigentlich noch nie erlebt und ich reise sehr viel. Nach einem langen, anstrengen Tag wollten wir eigentich nur noch etwas essen und ins Bett. Die liebe Dame an der Rezeption hat für uns den Pizzadienst angerufen, uns Teller und Besteck zur Verfügung gestellt. Ganz ganz lieb. Für unsere Hunde war eine Decke und Napf bereitgestellt.

Everything was very clean. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries. They had drinks available for normal prices. The woman working the front desk and the breakfast in the morning was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend. I want it. Only complaint was that the room was kind of cold and the beds were a little uncomfortable but the pillows and blankets were very nice.

If life takes you to Bergisch Gladbach, then this is an excellent place to stay. Lovely rooms (some with French doors/terrace), very well appointed, comfortable beds, great breakfast, and a friendly and helpful welcome. One of the nicer small hotels I've stayed in.

Hosts were great, room was clean and well taken care of. Building is older but maintained well. Breakfast and service was friendly, helpful and very good!

Check-in was easy. Unfortunately, there was no cappuccino at breakfast. The airport is about a 15-minute drive away, and the ride costs about €18.

The bathroom is a bit small and has old decor but is very clean along with the room, It is easy to get to Cologne by bus stop across the road or small walk to Train station. Very friendly staff

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Very cozy, clean and quiet Hotel and neighborhood. I was in town for a trade show close to downtown but the train from this hotel to Kolnmesse was a breeze and so comfortable.

The hotel is quite remote, so I had trouble finding it even after taking a taxi. Otherwise, everything was great, from the generous breakfast to the great staff, air conditioning, and clean rooms with comfortable beds.

Safe for keys for late arrivals very easy to operate. kept up to date via email. Very helpful staff, close to railway and local amenities, clean, best buffet breakfast ever! Best recommendation I can give is that, if in the area, I would use again.

Location is perfect if you need a place close to the highway. And still it is quite, a forrest close by, restaurant next door. The place is clean, rooms are proper sized. Really good value for money!
