The record whilst I was there was the same poor old fish which first appeared on Friday night looking great as part of the salad buffet. Excellent hotel with excellent care. We are now coming here for the fifth time. Every visit is enjoyed with the enthusiasm of the owners and staff. The principle is 'you ask and we deliver'. The extensive breakfast and the four-course menu are of top quality. We have booked for the sixth time.

Superb hotel in a superb location. Rooms are perfect in any sense. Food is very good and very nice size. I only used the pool, but the moments spent there were bliss.

I was there for the first time with a customer. The food was regional, Baden and highly recommended. There was also, for example, kidney and liver (which certainly not everyone likes), which is no longer on the menu. The kidneys were awesome. We visited the restaurant, and didn't stay in the rooms. The restaurant is fine with a decent menu, and plenty of options for vegetarians. The service can be improved, especially one or two staff members, who aren't friendly.

Can't speak to the hotel, but the restaurant offerings are delicious! We got our evening meal there twice and visited again for breakfast. Excellent service, excellent food. (A bit pricey. Well worth it though.)

Perfect location on a warm summer's day with all that your heart want to eat on Schwarzwälder food and international menu or on a winter's evening when you need to get your fingers warm again with cozy dish made in the Black Forest.

beautiful location for a nice hotel

The room cleaning team must have been on holiday. Even after asking only the bare necessities were done. That said... as was the WiFi. Spotty at best. Other than that, the rooms are fine and comfy and the on place restaurant is decent. Though they can't seem to make a soft cooked egg for breakfast.

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel, where professionalism & tradition go hand & hand : good room with view on the mountains & church ( nice South-German traditional onion-form roof ), absolutely clean & very well heated ( i had to slow down the heating ), and hotel own parking-lots about 20 meters away from the building. I was a guest at the Landhotel Löwen for the second time and can only recommend the accommodation! The rooms and the dining room are cozy and the beds are very comfortable. What I like best is the warmth of the Schmidt family and the delicious food with regional specialties on the menu. I will gladly come again!

The property is located at the end of a long, wide sunny valley and it is extremely quiet. All you hear is the creek rushing by beside the house. The hiking trails are easily reachable close to the house. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and very good.

Nice place, breakfast could be improved and varied throughout the week to provide some variety. More fruit and veg would be nice. Rooms are OK but could be cleaner and updated. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Stairs and driveway to the hotel can be very slippery and dangerous in icy conditions. Hot water is intermittent and needs some improvement.

Very nice hotel with just 18 rooms. All rooms have a balcony or terrace, a free safe and a free Wi-Fi connection. The Wi-Fi reception is good, but the uplink fails every now and then, but who cares: you're on vacation! The rooms do not have a mini bar, but there is a shared fridge on the groundfloor you can use. A nice hotel with friendly staff. Most of them speak a decent level of English. The breakfast was nice, dinner was decent but nothing out of the ordinary. The rooms were good, but no climate control which might be a problem on hot summer days.
