Very nice hotel with just 18 rooms. All rooms have a balcony or terrace, a free safe and a free Wi-Fi connection. The Wi-Fi reception is good, but the uplink fails every now and then, but who cares: you're on vacation! The rooms do not have a mini bar, but there is a shared fridge on the groundfloor you can use. A nice hotel with friendly staff. Most of them speak a decent level of English. The breakfast was nice, dinner was decent but nothing out of the ordinary. The rooms were good, but no climate control which might be a problem on hot summer days.

Authentic Black Forest Hotel in a scenic location. Located right on the winding road, close to some of the best driving roads in the Black Forest, both for Motorcycles and Cars. Wandering the Black Forest, late on a week night and came across this gem of a restaurant (part of the hotel). Even walking in 15 minutes to closing time, the owner was happy to serve us, and took great care making fresh, excellent food for us--probably the best meal we have had in our week here--and the cheapest! We will be going back again before leaving--worth the short drive from Schluchsee!

The room cleaning team must have been on holiday. Even after asking only the bare necessities were done. That said... as was the WiFi. Spotty at best. Other than that, the rooms are fine and comfy and the on place restaurant is decent. Though they can't seem to make a soft cooked egg for breakfast.

I was a guest at the Landhotel Löwen for the second time and can only recommend the accommodation! The rooms and the dining room are cozy and the beds are very comfortable. What I like best is the warmth of the Schmidt family and the delicious food with regional specialties on the menu. I will gladly come again!

You can experience an orthodox German food and culture at Gasthaus Löwen. I got local trout fried fish, which was excellent. My partner’s sister got salmon trout, which was a little bit confusing, weather or not if it was salmon or trout, because it tasted like salmon, but it said it was trout. Excellent hotel with excellent care. We are now coming here for the fifth time. Every visit is enjoyed with the enthusiasm of the owners and staff. The principle is 'you ask and we deliver'. The extensive breakfast and the four-course menu are of top quality. We have booked for the sixth time.

Superb hotel in a superb location. Rooms are perfect in any sense. Food is very good and very nice size. I only used the pool, but the moments spent there were bliss.

I was there for the first time with a customer. The food was regional, Baden and highly recommended. There was also, for example, kidney and liver (which certainly not everyone likes), which is no longer on the menu. The kidneys were awesome. We visited the restaurant, and didn't stay in the rooms. The restaurant is fine with a decent menu, and plenty of options for vegetarians. The service can be improved, especially one or two staff members, who aren't friendly.

Can't speak to the hotel, but the restaurant offerings are delicious! We got our evening meal there twice and visited again for breakfast. Excellent service, excellent food. (A bit pricey. Well worth it though.)

Beautiful location with multiple great hikes in the near area. We arrived later in the evening but this was not a problem at all. We had a warm welcome and the hosts are incredibly friendly. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious and the view from the balcony is amazing. Breakfast was really nice too. We extended our stay because we enjoyed it so much. Would definitely recommend this place!

Place was easy to find.. Rooms were very clean.. The place is run by a family and they were really helpful for the late check in and also giving us tips to go around.. On the downside, there is No WiFi in the room and the room was quite small for the price.. Overall the stay was good..

I stayed here in the late 80's and early 90's for family skiing vacation finding it online brings back so many great memories for me. I hope someday to return to visit the Sonneck and the Feldberg-Schwarzwald area. I am happy to see that this place is still vibrant and well run.

We picked this hotel and location for our first vacation with our puppy, and it was such a pleasant experience. The staff, location and offering of the hotel made it relaxing and fun for both us and the puppy. There are lots of things to do in the area and our highlight was the dog friendly lake a short distance away.

Hotel is located right on the road, therefore the rooms are extremely loud. Pool and sauna are lovely, but very small for the number of guests for the hotel of such size. The property is located at the end of a long, wide sunny valley and it is extremely quiet. All you hear is the creek rushing by beside the house. The hiking trails are easily reachable close to the house. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and very good.

Well, the hotel is new. Built in December 2015. The rooms and well everything is new! And I've got a feeling that the hotel has not been built yet. It's somewhat cold in the rooms. We stayed for 2 days in this hotel run by a Swiss couple. There are enough parking spaces at the hotel. The room was very clean and lovingly furnished. The food is excellent! Just great. The husband is a passionate cook and you can see and taste it. We enjoyed the outdoor breakfast every day, it was plentiful and extremely tasty. Very good service, nice clean and large room, al new, a new clean bathroom, very good breakfast and very kindley people. We came here for skiing. But there was not enough snow. The owners give us a card for this region. So we can for free with bus/train for free to several swimmingpools and other to do's. Its even the skipass! But there was not snow. We come back for sure!
