Small but nice! Very good meals. I will also recommend the forge to friends and acquaintances.

Very impressed with the Kalbschnitzel and Rösti dish. The Rösti was more potato-ish and golden-crispy fried. With a light crust it still fell apart like a soufflé. The Kalbschnitzel was flavorsome and soft. Overall a simple dish thoroughly respected! The service was nice, and the chef personally came out to greet us once he had a break. We felt a fresh swabian friendliness here!

It's a simple restaurant with nice service. Unfortunately, despite the fact that it was on the menu, not all of the court compilations were available. The food is tasty, but nothing more. Maybe we'll go there again.

Best food and restaurant ever!! If you're searching for a nice place to rest your head, look no further as this newly renovated boutique hotel has the absolute best amenities in town. And the food... amazing!!! The ingredients are always fresh, and the selection unparalleled. If you are so lucky to visit this establishment, count yourself amongst the few and most lucky.

Not bad, but not the right restaurant in the middle of the Dom city. On the other hand, they have an interesting and small menu with interesting things to try. Which I will do.

The restaurant has a nice terrace with view to the dome. Unfortunately I don't think the restaurant deserves the rating, as it comes from hotel guests as well. The food was okay, but the fish from Holland was undercooked. They brag this is a specialty, so it was a bit of a disappointment. The trout fish, salads and blended goat cheese with honey was nice.

A beautiful spot for all seasons and no one in town will take greater care of you then the owners of Klostermeisterhaus! Superb service, rooms and the food is like nowhere else around!

Me as a representative of my company. I have arrived at the apartment. The rooms aren't bad, but the floors are very bad, it hasn't been painted in a long time. And the problem is the heating which didn't work. I advise you to refresh the apartment, paint the windows, apply acrylic and silicone. That no insects enter through the holes and that the lighting is better outside. The rest is OK. D&V BOJIC...

The rooms of the pension are big enough, but quite spartan. However, since you will be on the road anyway, that's perfectly fine with me. I particularly like the option of being able to check in flexibly. So you are not tied to the given times.

Nice clean spacious rooms. Toilet and shower separate. Comfortable beds. Friendly owners. A little distance from city. Windows overlook mountain opposite. Definitely recommend.

Traveling from Australia making our own arrangements, we found our 3 nights at the Dom Hotel to be a tour highlight - quality accommodation, excellent cuisine, beautiful location, welcoming and friendly - perfect - thank you and Danke schoen!

great waitress every time, fair food talk, good food. dessert could be more original. chef checks us out after staff leaves, his is a dorkish character who in fact better stay in the background. table settings are neat. window view of the stream. the skills of the chef make for a solid dinner, his air gives a stiff aftertaste.

Cheap rooms but ok if you stay there only one or Two nights. Breakfast is ok. On Monday and Tuesday there is the kitchen closed so you don't get served

We were rebooked here after our hotel was overbooked. It was a beautiful hotel with an amazing view of the church through the window. We also ate dinner and were not disappointed. Had wild game and other spectacular food.

We had such a great time. We ordered a schnitzel with Jäger Sauce and fries and also deer goulash with Spätzle. Both very delicious. As dessert we had creme brulee, also very tasty. The staff were also very kind and the price was ok for what we ordered. Recommended! :)

Wonderful and welcoming this small​ family run hotel is located in a quiet town with impressive cathedral. Very traditional, lovely interior with some very pretty/art/hand made furniture pieces. Clean and beautifully maintained. There's a restaurant in the building that serves delicious freshly cooked, German food. Oh, and cherry schnapps!!! and beer! On their children's menu they have fish fingers...

The breakfast was outstanding (better than brunch!). The service helped quickly with every issue. The spa was nice but during the day crowded, however, at the evening completely empty making it our private spa! The walks up on that plateau are outstanding. When the weather is good, you see the alps to the South and a 1000m height, the "valley" of Zürich below is just an amazing sight.

The quality of the food at the restaurant is top! The mineral swimming pool is the highlight of the hotel. The staffs are friendly and helpful! The room is just average for my personal opinion, but it might be suitable for senior people.

Very nice wellness hotel with great food and great wellness center. The staff is very friendly and polite. The room (junior suite) is very nice and spacious, with "alpine view". Cleanliness is very important here. We will be happy to come back.

This was our first time at a wellness hotel and we absolutely loved it! Though arriving almost at midnight, they had a great variety of bread, sausages and cheese prepared for us. The room and the wellness area were incredible and the food absolutely delicious. Well definitely come back and recommend to anybody who considers spending some relaxing days here.

Idilic place to stay for the Christmas season. We arrived by train so had no transport of our own but this was not a problem, we enjoyed walking around the area. Very peaceful and isolated, perfect for us. We would like to return during the spring or summer to see the area in a different way.

The location is great! You are isolated from the rest of our busy world. Exactly what we were looking for: a small village with just four streets, no shops, no nothing, just nature (and a lot of trees). Bigger villages (shops, restaurants, sightseeing) are not too far away. During summertime there is not even a bus, so you definitely need a car! Schönenbach (exact name of this village) offers pure...

The room was a good size and the staff were friendly. Small pool. Good location for walking and day trips. The food looks nice but it is disappointing to see it coming back day after day. The record whilst I was there was the same poor old fish which first appeared on Friday night looking great as part of the salad buffet. By Monday morning it had appeared every day and no one touched it on the breakfast...

Fantastic location being right on the lake and the restaurant has Fantastic views and great to catch the sunset with a glass of wine. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well kept. The sauna is a good addition. In fact I had a back problem and the staff at the desk happily carried my bags which I am so grateful for! Would definitely recommend this place.

Only tried the restaurant. Pretty much everything was great: the food was delicious, and the service was good. The only thing that influenced our experience was that we were asked to sit on the same side of the table to keep distance from the neighboring table, but the neighboring table was empty for the whole time - I think this could have been managed a bit better.

Beautiful apartments in a very quiet area. The swimming pool and sauna are neat and clean. A great vacation spot for dog owners.

We enjoyed a very good lunch here. The steak, stroganoff, and goulash were wonderful. Always a challenge to order off a German menu with limited (or no German) speakers in our group, but staff was kind and helpful to us.

Pleasant stay. Very basic room might be what over priced. Place was very clean but beds too short (1.90m). Good food in the evening as well as in the morning.

Thank you for the great stay. It was nice and special to live in a loving house that is 150 years old. The breakfast was delicious, I didn't expect more. The outdoor area is very well maintained and invites you to relax in comfort. An absolute recommendation from me, the price was more than fair. Best of wishes you two.

We (2 adults, 1 child) spent 10 days in the small but nice "Garten" apartment. We booked breakfast. The accommodation is clean, the breakfast is delicious and the beautiful garden invites you to linger. The owners are very nice and helpful. We can fully recommend the guesthouse and will definitely come back again.

Pension Tannenheim is a nice, simple, clean pension, the owners are very nice. Breakfast was delicious, the room was clean, we liked it a lot. The garden with the small stream is wonderful and great for children. We would book here again.

Very pretty, well-kept pension with a wonderful garden! We (2 adults and 2 children) spent a week in the 'Gartenblick' apartment. We were able to book breakfast on site and it was all very tasty and sufficient. The location of the pension is simply ideal - the train station and restaurants can be reached on foot in a very short time. Opposite is a primary school with playground and a few hundred yards...

A perfect family hotel to stay in the black forest. We stayed in an apartment for four persons for a week. The apartment was well equipment and was cleaned perfectly every day. The owner was there every day and gave us the best recommendations and guidance for activities and interesting points in the black forest. Absolutely adorable.

We stayed here with our dog for 1 night. everything went well for us. Room was affordable compared to other hotels. Unfortunately we could not test the wellness area in the short time. Location at the park perfect for dog owners. however, there are cats in the house. good, that there was an elevator, and we always drove directly to the room with the dog :-). we'd love to come back.

Unfortunately I was only in the hotel for a short time, but what I saw is very nice. The rooms are very clean. The breakfast is rich. The service is very nice and familiar. You feel right at home there. I would go there again.

Everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked for harder pillows and soon after we found them already in our room. They provided a rich breakfast buffet. The food was excellent and as a vegetarian I always had options. The location is very quiet and near to many hiking paths. We had a great time!

The rooms are very nice, spacious and well equipped. The minibar was not missed (which was complained about several times in other reviews). The room cleaning team must have been on holiday. Even after asking only the bare necessities were done. That said... as was the WiFi. Spotty at best. Other than that, the rooms are fine and comfy and the on place restaurant is decent. Though they can't seem to make a soft cooked egg for breakfast.

Authentic Black Forest Hotel in a scenic location. Located right on the winding road, close to some of the best driving roads in the Black Forest, both for Motorcycles and Cars. The location is also amazing for cycling, mountain biking, and hiking. Schluhsee lake is reachable by foot. The owner is welcoming, knowledgeable, and fun to talk to. She is a cyclist, and I got recommendations for both motorcycle...

Wandering the Black Forest, late on a week night and came across this gem of a restaurant (part of the hotel). Even walking in 15 minutes to closing time, the owner was happy to serve us, and took great care making fresh, excellent food for us--probably the best meal we have had in our week here--and the cheapest! We will be going back again before leaving--worth the short drive from Schluchsee!
