Where to stay in Darmstadt

Old hotel but renovated as to not be outdated. Lady friend didn’t care for the wood but the view was great. It reminded me of a Miami hotel. Construction at the time I visited made it confusing and with all things German, no clear direction that you could have driven past the construction barriers to get to the garage. We had a wonderful weekend staying at the Maritim. We dined there and the food was excellent. The room is good. However we were disappointed with the lack of power with the air conditioning and air circulation. The thermostat has no effect whatsoever.

We stayed one night after flying in to Frankfurt airport and on our way to drive to Switzerland. We loved the family room, so spacious and comfortable and nice view of the train station. During my recent work trip, I stayed at this hotel, and it met my expectations. The rooms were well-appointed, providing a comfortable atmosphere for relaxation after a busy day. Additionally, the hotel features a pool for those interested.

The true quality of this place is the personnel. Always kind, welcoming, smiling and really makes the difference. Other than that, the place itself needs renovations and the back view of my room was of an incredible sadness.

Clean and great location. If you get a room with a double bed, keep in mind that it will be 2 twins in a diuble frame. I found this not the best for sleeping. Their pillows were super squishy down. I like firm pillows, so i needed to combine the cushion in the closet and pillows.

Usually stay near Luisenplatz but decided to try this Ramada and I like it. Quiet, clean room and easier to get around this hotel than the Best Western, which feels a bit cramped.

I recommend this hotel. It’s about 7mins walk from train and bus station, staff very friendly to me and room is clean. I wish wifi can be a bit faster and since there is no desk in room it’s not suited for business travel where you may need to work on computer. Definitely recommend for leisure travel.

Cool young place, a great way to spend your days in Darmstadt. The reception/bar area is stylish and you get water for free as much as you like. Rooms are middle sized and nicely equipped. There are ironing rooms if you come for business and lockers for valuables on the ground floor. Staff is nice. Recommended!

Very clean and perfectly situated next to the central station. The free city tickets for the public transportation that come with the booking were a nice cherry on top.

The welcome is really nice since the parking lots are right in front of the hotel! The building itself is averagely looking. Reaching Frankfurt by train costs quite a lot but meeting for a ride in front of the hotel is a great possibility - as long as there are no street works.

I recommend for short-term stays as the hotel provides some suite/apartments for single or married couples. If you have a vehicle/bicycle it is convenient to live there.

Staying here as near where I am working for the week. Not a bad hotel, just nothing to write home about. Room is satisfactory. Shower is a bath, but no bath taps so just awkward. No tea and coffee facilities in the room. There is not much options for food close by, KFC and McDonald's, however the food in the restaurant is pretty good, but a small menu. I wouldn't recommend staying here for vacation, but if you ate here for business reasons it is absolutely acceptable. The employees are nice and the quality of the interior is alright. Yet it is far away from luxury or even a bit higher comfort.

The hotel looks a bit old on the inside but the service is good. The staff is attentive and the rooms are offering enough space to make you feel comfortable. As an interesting thing, the air in the rooms is well filtered and has just the right humidity and temperature so that the sleep is just perfect.

It is okay to drink a beer and eat something. From my former stays I know that the rooms are small but everything is tidy.

I always stay in this hotel when I'm in Darmstadt, and it's absolutely outstanding. The breakfast is freshly cooked and delicious, with lots of choice and variety. Very nice hotel, the fitness room is perfect enough to get the last bit out of you on the way through and to relax in the big shower and then fall into the cozy bed and then watch the big TV flickering in a nice atmosphere. I would like to thank you again here, you are doing a great job.

Also I had a few situationS where the cleaning services wanted to access the room while I was there (it was during the week, while I was preparing myself to go to work -7:30 aprox).. Small hotel with necessary elements only. This is a hotel having small but comfortable rooms with no frills. The room door locks are the old fashioned ones. Once you enter, you may find difficulty in finding the room light switches. The bedrooms have only 2 lamps which have their individual switches. But the staffs are good and they help promptly. Bathroom has a bathtub but there is no disposable soaps...

The Hotel is one of the best in griesheim if you only want to sleep and get fast to orther citys. Location is central. It has many rooms from 1 bed room to family rooms. And service is always fast

Check-In and Check-Out was very easy. The room was spacious and nicely furnished. The bed itself was comfortable but the gap between the two mattresses was huge. There was a huge smear on the toilett flush. Breakfast was rather disappointing.

Had a wonderful dinner here with a large corporate group. Meal was fantastic. And the wine selection was amazing. Seating was a little cramped on the long bench. And being very tall, the trip to the bathroom in the lower level was a bit dangerous.

The beds are awful For some reason they use two mattresses slid together to make a double/queen size bed. The problem is that you can't sleep in the center of the bed because the mattresses slide apart. I wasn't able to get much sleep because of the moving mattresses.

As someone who has stayed for 40 years in hotel beds, on different continents, I give this Hotel 6 out of 5 possible stars. The interior archit tonic solutions for rooms and other functional rooms are good, to very good Standard. The location is outstanding. The kitchen not only understands, but, among other things, from Wagyu meat to bring a dish to the plate, forget once, and I will eagerly indulge...

A super gelangene combination between the old and the new! For me, the best Hotel in Darmstadt! Is removed a bit of the City, but the quiet location is uncompromising.

A lovely historical building with a beautiful nature walk through the woods along a small lake. Its name means "Hunting palace of the stone crane."

Need an air-conditioned install in rooms... everything else is fine...I had sauna built into the bathroom when the whole room was filling like one

First time I was at the hotel I got a normal room and everything was perfect. This time I was there for 3 day and got an upgrade for a very awesome apartment room. The rooms a like new and on the small one there was an XBOX and in the apartment the was a sauna. The breakfast is okay but far from the best and the location is pretty boring.

If you need somewhere for an overnight stay in Darmstadt, here is pretty good. No frills and basic facilities but the rooms are clean and comfortable. There is some quirky decor, almost like a boutique hotel. Breakfast was good.

I slept in B&B Darmstadt and I had, as usual, a very good experience. Fast Check-in. Fast Check-out. Good breakfast. The room is simple, but functional. Good quality of rest, well silenced and air conditioned. I'll come back for sure!!!

Self check-in was hard and took 30 minutes due to the fact that the system wanted a booking number which i never received. It was late, I was tired and just wanted bed. I had to call the hotel's emergency number to get it sorted out.

Economic hotel for business meetings close to the train station. Good and clean for sleeping and going to work. Don't hope for entertainment or bars and interaction. Close to the supermarket and some fast food places in the station. Neither rooms or bathroom are big, But they are clean and modern. Only issue is that there is only 1 socket in the room and far from the bed. WiFi is not bad Breakfast...

I stayed at this hotel for 13 nights in August 2019 and had a wonderful and comfortable time in Darmstadt. The breakfasts were phenomenal, always fresh in a very clean dining room with attentive staff. Rooms were cleaned and serviced every day. Great location. I took a bus from Frankfurt flughafen and found a bus stop just 2 blocks from the hotel which was a relief due to a large suitcase in hand....

A very nice place. The room was on the side of the street and even though there was quiet. The hotel is close to a tram station and the city center is not so far even for a walking distance. If you choose walking I recommend to do that through a park not so far from the hotel. The hotel offers a very good breakfast as an extra price which is not expensive. For a three star expectation compliant. Nevertheless, some of the deductions in B-Note: located in a very noisy and on a main road. For Breakfast there was coffee from the press pot and the tables are cut very narrow, so that two side by side behakeln at the table. On the plus side, the free Wi-Fi, which is really useful.

This is my favorite hotel and restaurant in Darmstadt. You can certainly stay at a more modern and fancier hotel than this, but the Bockshaut is right downtown, and kind of charming. The restaurant is excellent! I do indeed feel that this is the best restaurant in the city. The owner takes an interest in his guests and makes sure they are well taken care of.

I come here once a year from USA this is the highlight of my trip I look forward to it all year especially the goose around Christmas. Always get the house special you won't be disappointed. The sauce (gravy) is better than the 5 star place my wife worked at even she agrees.
