I paid an exaggerated price for the quality they offered. The king business room was small and we found the bed sheets dirty with several stains. The hotel offered us a 10% discount to apologize and changed the sheets, but we still paid an exaggerated price and they didn't consider the covid situation. I paid a lot less in better hotels, for this reason I recommend looking for another hotel.

We were a group of travelers staying just one night in advance of catching a river cruise in Basel. The hotel, which is close to the train station, the old town and a couple of laundromats, served that purpose well, and we enjoyed spending several hours exploring Freiburg.

my favourite hotel in Freiburg. cosy and nice spread of Breakfast. Come with Sauna and Gym! Best location from the train station and city center and free train ticket!

This is a great value. Location among the best in Freiburg in terms of convenience for both old city and train station. Very friendly staff. Room is slightly spartan but very comfortable. Only minor hiccup : I had requested high floor, far from elevator and with view. I got the first two but not the view...

A very comfortable hotel. Lots of history, but with modern, well renovated rooms. Also, the excellent, atmospheric Hemmingway cocktail bar in the basement.

The best Novotel we know. Charming service and the air conditioning actually works.....which is not the case in all Novotels
