Food was excellent, service kind but with only two people serving relatively long waiting times.

The restaurant is just great! The food is tasty and service is great. The interior is fancy and stylish. The owner and his wife are serving and they do it properly and in time. The prices are quite decent. Ca 25 Euro per person for such food, service and ambient is almost nothing. I'd of course suggest to order a steak :) Not sure about the rooms but seems to be also awesome.

Nice clean new hotel. Walking distance to city center and train/tram station.

Location is ideal for old town. We stayed here after visiting Christmas markets in Basel and Colmar because my wife liked the idea of staying in a newly opened hotel. It does have a new, modern, feel and the rooms on the smaller side but big enough. Didn't have a chance to try the gym. There is no spa.

Very well located close to the center and cultural places. The room was really clean and quiet and the morning breakfast delicious with lots of choice. But German is spoken the most... some difficulties with English and no word in French.

Hotel room was modern and quiet. Had 344 which was located towards the courtyard and not the street Suggestions for future improvements: - Shower: water is coming out because it is missing a door or shower curtain. - Air conditioning/ ventilation can not be turned off. Even in the off state there is a reasonable noise noticeable. Also the control unit is beeping in a high pitch noise - Booking.com...

We had the perfect stay at this hotel while in Freiburg. We loved it so much that we even recommended it on our website. :) The staff is super friendly, the breakfast is good and they offered free drinks at the bar if you help save water by refusing the daily turn-down service if you don't really need it. We're tidy, so we enjoyed plenty of drinks. ;)

This place seems super nice. Free breakfast and they provide info on busy times so you can avoid the rush. Very helpful staff and modern/flexible rooms that work great for the size. The rooms were big and clean, the breakfast was also good, there is parking area for the hotel but you won't find a place if you got there late, you can park outside the hotel free from 19:00 until 10:00 Am so you need to move your car before 10 in the morning. It was a really nice stay. The rooms are big enough, modern and neat, the bed was comfortable and I really liked that there was a couch and a table in the room. Clean and comfortable with a polite staff.we located close to a streetcar stop. Also the old town is a nice 15 minute (three streetcar stops), away.

The best HInn ive ever stayed in. Spotless, large rooms and could rival many 4 or 5 stars in GB. Would def recommend.

Excellent location if working at the Federal archives. Tram stop outside of door, so old town also convenient. Bakery also outside door, with another 2 blocks away. And hotel stay includes card for public transportation. What's not to like? Very much enjoyed working stay at Green City Hotel.

I stay about 5 nights in this hotel per year for some 4 years now. The hotel used to be very nice but as it is very often at full capacity, it is losing its niceness. The rooms aren't properly cleaned (see pictures) neither maintained (broken stuff not repaired, etc). The breakfast also lost its charm and quality (dry and over baked eggs, watery juice, few to no fruit selection). I did report the issues...

A wonderful 1 week stay. Easy access from the motorway. Had a nice room. Breakfast selection was good and the breakfast area is spacious. A few staff are really nice and friendly.

There are rooms quite big and others small. The breakfast is very basic and they have always the same. Room is OK and the treat from the people is great. They switch on always the air conditioning in the room, so it used to be too cold when I went back to the hotel...

The front desk are always nice and typical American standard costumer service. Way higher than any European owned hotels. They really serve the costumer well and great us as we are king and queen. The price is ok and the breakfast is great with variety of warm and cold food.

Very traditional restaurant with great service

The junior Suite is really nice, their coffee shop is on of the best in Freiburg. Plus the main restaurant very luxurious has so good menu. ??????it’s my favorite hotel since 15 years. ?

Everything could have be very good if the woman at the desk when we arrived were not here. Not friendly, no smile, no hello, no goodbye and aneable to find the réservation.... Sorry for her but really not professionnal with her gum....

Good place to rest, comfortable bed and clean room. Can be problem only to reserved room in the middle of the night, but can do this on place on some terminal. And it is working...

Good hotel: modern and comfortable. If you arrive after 22 you have to do an online check in because there is no concierge on the night. Access to the rooms are allowed by a code. In my room (507) there was the carpet and it was not very good cleaned: I found long hair on it. Good shower. Poor breakfast at 8.50 euro: I have done it outside. Very unhelpful staff.

Small cozy hotel with good prices to sleep for one-two nights. We got a cozy small room, hairdryer and TV (was important at that moment to monitor news from Ukraine). The lady on the reception was super nice to us.

Great location. Short walk from train station and town centre. Very clean rooms. Free laundry service. Push on the kitchen cabinet doors to open them. We didn't know and thought the kitchen didn't have pots and pans.

Great location! Walking distance from the Hbh and into the Altstadt. The rooms are clean and nice. The neighbourhood is safe and relatively quiet at night eventhough it is located on a main street. Easy booking and your key is left in a box for you. We will stay here again.

Awesome, clean environment to enjoy. The booking process and check-in handling was superb. Especially during these testing days. Apartment is modern and has all commodities needed to spend a long time. Highly recommended.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und stilsicher und trotzdem modern eingerichtet. Den covid-19 Bestimmungen entsprechend war das Angebot eingeschränkt, es hat jedoch an nichts gefehlt. Ein großes Dankeschön an die Wirtsleute, die trotz Todesfall in der Familie das Angebot aufrecht erhalten haben.

Nice restaurant with typical food. It's a good place to stop during your trip or after a long day of hiking in the black forest. So if you are looking for good food, friendly service, great drinks, and cosy atmosphere, don't miss this place. It is always full of local, so better make a booking before getting there.

Loved every thing about the stay. The staff are helpful and nice. The neighborhood is so beautiful and modern it has a very nice calming vibe. The rooms have a small kitchen which is a huge advantage. The tram station is very close to the hotel. Absolutely the stay of choice while in Freiburg.

Lovely hotel, we arrived on opening night, it felt like they were already very accustomed to receiving guests. Very family friendly: staff immediately rushed a chair for our one year old, they put a very good baby bed with cute covers in the room and the staff is super friendly. Loved the shower too.

Hotel is central but loud. Outdated. Stayed for 3 days in the Premium Room with minibar consumption included and the refrigerator in the room did not function. Informed the staff and was not fixed even after we checked out. Sauna is not working either. Informed the staff every day for 3 days but no use. Breakfast is not that good, not worth the price.

I had a fantastic stay at Novotel Freiburg! The hotel room was impeccably clean and well-equipped, and the complimentary daily mini bar refill was a thoughtful touch. I visited this hotel twice this summer with my family and we just loved it! The location is fantastic - the view is wonderful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool is small but not very crowded (at all) and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The only drawback is the breakfast. It's the average hotel breakfast, but it's too expensive for what it is. However, it doesn't ruin our overall...

The view is great, the restaurant is amazing. Try the steak but ask for Sauce béarnaise! A little warning: they have very often staff in learning (Lehrlings). They can make some mistakes. Don't be made, just be prepared... For example they may not serve you to try the Vine and just serve everyone on the table. But it is fine.. the food is just brilliant. Enjoy it! 😊

The rooms ar very clean and neat. Everything you can expect from a very good hotel. I recommend them to expand the Menu though. It is kinda short and like let's say special or unusual maybe.. you might enjoy it but maybe not everyone on the table. Anyway, it is all in all very good! Not: please get a proper coffee machine for the rooms and get rid of this water boiler...

Very clean, new, and modern Hotel. The staff is very nice and friendly and the place is conveniently located in front of a tram stop. Parking is possible and cheap (12€/day). Two negatives: the air gets very dry at night, and the rooms are incredibly small.

Very close to Unilklinik . Clients clinics offer discounts. Service to the occasion. Clean. Great rich and varied Breakfast. Comfortable and without pathos.

Stayed here for two nights, nice room, top rate food, but both nights (even though specifically asked for the main restaurant) were placed in side room on our own. No real reason why...tables empty in the main restaurant. Would love to say I'll be back....but I won't. More atmosphere elsewhere at half the cost. And after our treatment 3* is being generous.

Customer service is great and the rooms are nice and quaint — very unlike American hotels. 10 min from downtown Freiburg and there is a bakery and a few restaurants just a few blocks from the hotel.

We stayed there for one night as our train was canceled, staff were very friendly and helpful, location is great, 2mins from Hbf. Rooms were well equipped and comfortable, breakfast was nice.

Normal hotel , good location

A very comfortable hotel. Lots of history, but with modern, well renovated rooms. Also, the excellent, atmospheric Hemmingway cocktail bar in the basement.

The best Novotel we know. Charming service and the air conditioning actually works.....which is not the case in all Novotels

my first visit to the Hotel Oberkirch was in 1969 as a young child with my family. I've been going ever since. immediately across the square from the Münster, the Oberkirch is perfectly situated for those wanting to explore Freiburg. modern well appointed rooms, an excellent restaurant,!

This little gem of a hotel lies in the square surrounding the cathedral. Surrounded by restaurants and ice cream shops, it is convenient for a lovely day of strolling. My room was cozy and clean with an apple, a rose, and a comfortable bed. The proprietors were lovely and most helpful. I would gladly stay here again!

Fantastic hotel in a stunningly beautiful location in the city with very helpful and friendly staff and a top-rate restaurant.

Great spot, friendly staff and above all: excellent gnocchi fully home made from scratch. To explain: I rarely finish my plate where ever I eat but this plate was empty within 20minutes (my husband and son were still eating) and that's saying something as I have an unclassified eating disorder. I HIGHLY recommend.

The restaurant staff was friendly and helpful, and multilingual which was very nice. The food is delicious, portions are great and prices are fair. I was even brought extra fries when they felt they didn't give me enough on my plate, which I didn't expect. It was a very nice gesture. Additionally, the location is great and right next to the cathedral.

super clean and tidy, everything functions well, good amount of cutlery, check in is easy and you get a pair of keys, different locations, affordable.

Nice spacious apartments with good facilities. Also very clean and located a stones throw from the city centre. Parking on premise and entry is via key codes. Staff are responsive and check in process was relatively easy. The only drawback is no elevator so if you have a room on the 4th floor and big bags then you have a real challenge getting your bags upstairs to your room. Would stay here again...
