Given the style of all hotels here this one is very nice. The room was good, the front desk helpful, breakfast was perfect for a start to the day, and the location made everything walkable.

Basic hotel, but very clean and exceptionally friendly staff. The breakfast menu is very good. Location is super, maximum 5 minutes away from the cathedral.

I had a short weekend trip to Freiburg to attend a wedding and this place was perfect for it. The location is great, a very short walk from the Standesamt, close to many shops and restaurants and tram stops, and about 10 minutes walk from the train/bus station. I was able to easily get to the wedding reception with the tram, and getting back late at night was fine too since it's less than a minute from the tram stop. Breakfast is included and was quite good: a selection of cold cut meat and cheese, cereals, bread, yogurt, jam and fruit, juice, tea and coffee. The room and bathroom were comfortable and there were no issues with water pressure or hot water in the shower. WiFi signal was also good. The service was helpful and accommodating - I had an early bus on the day of my departure, and they let me pack a few sandwiches to take with me as I didn't have time for breakfast. The price is quite reasonable, and if you book on the hotel website it is even more so. It isn't a very fancy place and you should have reasonable expectations, but it comfortably fulfils all the necessities, and is a great base to explore Freiburg for someone on a budget. And there's so much to do in Freiburg anyway, there's not much reason to spend lots of time in your hotel!

Sadly, it was a disaster. The rooms reeked of cigarette smoke and the hotel has no air conditioning. One of our companions has serious breathing issues. We made the error of checking in- and the ladies remained behind while the men went looking for another hotel. When we returned 1 1/2 hours later to check out and were informed we owed the entire night lodging, as the ladies has stayed in the room while the men were out. I make the offer to pay for the cleaning service… bug you no avail. We paid and left to another cleaner and a/c . Over rated… and not clean don’t stay there !!!

I stayed here for 4 nights for single bedroom. The room is comfy and very clean. The bathroom is really clean and smell good. The reception staffs are friendly and nice and gave excellent directions. The staff at the kitchen are also excellent, nice greeting and served my good drinks every morning. Breakfast has a variety of options, clean and yummy. The hotel is at the center of Freiburg near shopping places and important place. The hotel is close to Freiburg Münster, less than 5 mins by walking. And, just 15 mins to the train station (Freiburg HB). This hotel is also near tram station. Supermarket is under the hotel, you can find some box of food here. I absolutely love this hotel, if I go back to Freiburg again. I will stay here.

Rooms were alright. You just need to remember, if you're foreign, that the shades DO INDEED go up lol don't suffer in the heat hole that is your room. Open the damned windows. This wasnt explained to me and I didn't figure it out until halfway through the night. Alright, so there's been no hotel where I've been, that have had guest limits to rooms. I purchased a double room because it was cheap and close to downtown, and brought a sleeping bag and pillow for a buddy to sleep on the floor. We go in after an evening down town, and immediately we're asked for our room key. That wasn't itself unreasonable. When I produced the key and room number, the attendant went ballistic, and demanded that our third party member not be admitted into the hotel, because we purchased a double for two people only. I offered to pay extra if that was his problem but he denied my offer vehemently. Ultimately, I put my wife and cousin (my guest) into the double room, and went myself to the nearest park where I SLEPT ON A BENCH. Fantastic.

Really simple but clean hotel. The night guard was rude though. First place where I had to show someone my key to get upstairs. There were ear plugs in the bathroom, wonder what those are for...

Clean and very nice staff, great location, great breakfast, however room was pretty horible. What was advertised and purchased was totally different than what I was offered. Definitely not staying there next time I go back.
