The hotel's location and view were excellent, but the room service was severely lacking.
The rooms were rarely cleaned, and when they were, the cleaning was inadequate.
The breakfast was also of poor quality. When I attempted to cancel the remaining breakfasts for the week, the hotel staff refused to provide a refund or allow me to exchange them for dinners. In today's business environment, where many companies offer lifetime refunds, it is surprising that a refund of 60 euros was not possible.

Although located outside of the town, it is a pretty walkable distance to the town centre (Less than 20 mins depending on how fast you walk) but do note that it's not flat. It's close to a few forest walks, a mini golf course and also on the way to Keinburg. Nice view of the black forest and Freudenstadt.
The room we had was quite old school but decent for the price. Bathrobes were provided but there is no kettle in the room. Staff are friendly and helpful. Noted that the front desk is only open until 6pm.
The sauna and swimming pool is in the other building (Klinik Hohenfreudenstadt) which requires a short uphill walk. They are not open all the time and the sauna has male and female only days so do check before you go. Most info are provided only in German.

I won't recommend this hotel.

Worst place ever !!
Personal is so rude that we left ahead of time. There rating is so abusive, it’s a shame for the German hotel system.

Perfect venue to enjoy the forest. very nice view. The hotel has a new area with modern very comfortable rooms. Breakfast ok.

Hotel Teuchelwald is a wonderful place to stay. It is built on a Hill with greeny Parks and flowers. It has a hot swimming pool. An excellent Kirchen and bar with the best rooms. Perfect place to stay in Freudenstadt.
