Where to stay in Gengenbach

I work for travel from the USA and stay at this hotel for 3 to 5 weeks at a time. I find the hotel rooms to be best in the region. The entire staff is the Best for everything, most accommodative for all requests. They even accommodate me for my special dietary requests. Rooms are large and clean. Easy to drive to and large free car park with chargers. There is a small indoor swimming pool. The staff were very helpful. Restaurant was nice: we had dinner on arrival and (inclusive) breakfast. There was a reasonable selection of family friendly options for dinner and a basic but nice breakfast. In summer dining is outside on the pathway to entrance which was lovely but...

A gem of a hotel Good rooms 10 min walk from town centre The restaurant was fantastic only here for 2 nights and and ate here twice it was that good. Breakfast was outstanding and had everything you could ask for Micheal in particular was superb at his job . 👏 Nothing was too much trouble. We have been coming back for many years and will continue to do so. Great location, great staff, close to the old part of the town. Love the walks and the Weinachtsmarkt.

Good hotel with swimming pool and sauna. Good breakfasts. My room was 306 at the 3rd floor. Ask for a room that does not have a view on the road. It will be more quiet. .

In overall our quick journey was delightful. We felt that people of the hotel was very implied and always made sure everything was convenient for us. Infrastructures are great and the restaurant was on point with our expectations. We definitely recommend it.

A glass of fizz and nibbles on check in is always a good start. Comfortable room with great view over rooftops. Good selection of food at breakfast and an amazing sauna complex which is highly recommended. Very friendly service.

We had an incredible time staying here. The family who runs it welcome you like family. Our meals in the garden were beautiful - truly some of the best food we have had since living in Germany. Breakfast was gorgeous, and they provided us with bikes to explore the valley. The town is a hidden treasure, great jumping off point for hiking, biking, and wine exploring. Highly recommend.

A very cozy and comfortable place. Everything is very clean and tidy. The rooms have everything you need. Lived there when I was on a business trip. I was very pleased.

Amazing hotel, with very helpful staff, a great garden for meals, and comfortable rooms. The hotel really pampers you, providing you with a welcome drink on arrival, attentive service during meals and sauna, which is great after a day of outdoor activities. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely newly refurbished interconnecting rooms for our family. Friendly welcoming staff. Great breakfast. Ideal location in town centre. Parking on street at a cost but free at night.

Good hotel and the rooms were comfortable. Only one of the whole staff, spoke English. So it was hard to feel welcome. Staff wasn’t always friendly.

Very nice small hotel next to town center , near a river , lovely rooms with tv, Minibar, shower. They also have a restaurant in town center , breakfast and some a activities

Beautiful modern hotel. Only concern is that the WiFi isn't working in our room, only works in the dining room. Free breakfast is great.

During a multi-day bike tour through the Kinzig Valley from Alpirsbach to Offenburg, I spent one night at the Hotel Sonne in Zell am Harmersbach. Very friendly and helpful reception. Large, well-furnished room with a large balcony. The dinner on the terrace was excellent. The staff competent and friendly. I can highly recommend the sun.

Havnt changed the bed sheets. Not very good phone signal. Nice village with a pool a 15 minute walk away. Not many staff speak english

The people were very welcoming and helpful, the location was picturesque and the on-site farm shop was an added bonus.

Went here with my group a while ago. Top accommodation for good money. As soon as we have a construction site in the area again, we'll be back. You can also shop late in the evening in the farm's own shop...sausage, bread, schnapps and much more from the farm.

Very beautiful place to be. Great value for the money. The homemade breakfast it's really good. The owners are very nice persons, tho only the daughter understand good English. The only downside for us was the fact that we had to buy our own barbeque tools only for a day, as they are not providing them. However, we enjoyed it very much. May actually go back again sometime.

I rarely give a 5 to anyone. What you see presented in their website is EXACTLY what you get. Typical Alt-Deutsche design but modernized with great taste. Cuisine is wonderfully presented with friendly service. Very comfortable. You get what you pay for here. Very good value for your €uro. I've been here many times and they consistently render the highest service, quality and cleanliness.
