First time in black forest
Great location, short walk to train station and a lot of trails for hiking. Hotel staff was amazing ( special thank you to Michael, Ivanna,and Vannaren Yani). Room is spacious and clean,and the breakfast is ready good too.Totally recommended.

Nice hotel, 10 minutes walk from the pretty village of Gengenbach.

Nicely located, good breakfast area, and bar with outside seating. Some staff went out of their way to help, which was much appreciated as I don’t speak much German. On the downside the evening meal was expensive with a limited menu

The hotel has a great location, a nice pool, and a good variety of breakfast options. However, our experience was negatively impacted by the condition of the bed prepared for my young child — it had a strong odor of urine. We had to request a replacement cot, which wasn’t brought up until 9:30 PM. Additionally, housekeeping did not service our room on the first day, and the soiled mattress and bedding were never removed during our stay

The superior room was spacious, featured a balcony, and was nicely decorated.
Breakfast was adequate.
The check-in process was pleasant and welcoming.
However, check-out was quite complicated, as the receptionist attempted to charge me for the night, even though it had already been paid for at the time of booking.

Friendly staff, also layed out the table for a birthday surprise, didnt ask them to just came down for breakfast to it, only thing that i would change would be the pillows as they are very soft and had to fold them to get some support.

We had a fantastic stay here . Firstly can I say how Lovely all the staff here were, one of the friendliest hotels we have ever stayed in. The Room was very spacious lovely comfy bed , amazing air con in the very hot weather ! The Room was at the back of the hotel and was super quiet I had some fantastic sleep here.We are at the restaurant one night the food was delicious and the service excellent. Gengenbach was a 10 minute walk away and was very picturesque we took advantage of the tourist card and explored a few towns including Baden Baden. We would love to come back here and visit Again.

Really great hotel. Our group loved the comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts. Staff were very helpful too.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in a sunny and spacious room with a balcony on the upper floor. The room was beautifully laid out and included tea making facilities, mini bar, rain shower, comfortable beds and it was quiet. Wi-Fi in the rooms could be improved on though. The breakfast is good and varied. We had dinner there on the first night and enjoyed our dining experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. Sitting in the courtyard with free chilled water and pastries on a sunny afternoon with the backdrop of flowing water was a delight. Gegenbach is a jewel of a Black Forest town and this hotel is well situated to enjoy it, being a lovely 10 minute meander into town. If I ever return to Gegenbach, this is where I would stay.
