You can tell that the hotel has been vacant for 16 years. But they are trying to renovate bit by bit. The innkeeper is definitely the friendliest thing I've seen in a long time. The wishes were implemented before they were expressed. After the rich breakfast you were prepared for the day. We'll be back and won't miss a TV even then

Great value for money, perfect for groups The nice owner is very courteous and helpful. We had a sumptuous breakfast every day and were allowed to use the breakfast room as a group room in the evening. The rooms are currently still being renovated, but are clean and equipped with everything necessary. We would definitely come again.

Nice old hotel that was empty for 16 years and has now reopened. Accordingly, the condition is, the new owner is very nice and is very responsive to the wishes of the guests. Nevertheless, a smell of its own can be heard in the hotel and the carpet has come down. Presumably this is due to the closure in recent years. The breakfast is fantastic, if you don't mind, you will find a great place to stay...

We stayed at the Hotel Rose for one night. The hotel is very nice and centrally located in Gössweinstein. It's a very old house, which we like very much. The rooms are partially renovated. We had a nice little room with a shower and toilet. The reception by the owner was very warm, so that we immediately felt welcome. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. All in all, we can recommend the hotel...

Nice stay at Krone We really liked our stay at Krone. Good service, clean room. Easy check in and free parking.

Classic German hotel experience. Shared bath, walk up, older but very clean rooms. Great restaurant and contintental plus buffet breakfast.

The room was spacious and clean. It felt typically German which was great for us tourists. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful! They went above and beyond to let us charge our EV overnight.

A review of an overnight stay at Hotel Krone A wonderful stay at this olde worlde charm hotel. Frau Brendel makes one feel most welcome. The hotel is ideally situated diagonally across the road from the impressive basilica, 30metres from bus station and also 30metres from the (helpful) Tourist Office. The breakfast (included in the hotel tariff) was hearty.

Everything about the property was nice but the older staff member was nice but wasn’t very friendly about me not wanting to take the rest of my food with me because it would go bad before I could finish it. The young staff member girl with black hair was very helpful and understanding about my difficulties figuring out how the keys and parking worked.

Commenting on the Hotel restaurant, they serve authentic German and Bavarian food even outside of the usual tourist season. I really loved their Schäufle and their Bavarian sausages. You can order local Frankonian beer here as well if you're searching for that. Definitely a nice place to fill your stomach after hiking in the area.

Clean rooms, excellent food and a very nice landlady who could tell a lot about the history of the house. I just say riot box. Was a very nice weekend. We would love to come back. Thanks very much

For a little hunger in between, we stopped here for a short break. Everything is very clean, tidy and nicely decorated. Our order was taken quickly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Our pumpkin soup was delicious. The staff very polite. There was nothing to complain about. Parking spaces are available in front of the restaurant for non-hikers.

The first impression was very good. The reception was very friendly and the whole team was extremely accommodating and friendly. The rooms were also very nice and clean. The breakfast buffet was completely sufficient and very tasty. The evening menu was always fresh and also very tasty. Even if we had to change something, it was no problem.

Friendly people, cozy rooms, excellent food and an outstanding location - all one can wish for. The location is the perfect trail head for a nice short, medium or really long walk; and afterwards a well-executed massage will prepare you for dinner, which was fantastic as well.

We spent a long weekend at the Stempferhof with 3 families and 3 grandchildren. We all really enjoyed it, everything was perfect, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very large, we had a superior double room. The breakfast was varied and the dinner was very good. We will definitely come back. The beautiful terrace is currently being finished.

The Stempferhof is quietly located on the outskirts of Gößweinstein. The town center is easy to reach on foot. The staff is friendly and competent. At the same time, the Stempferhof is suffering from a shortage of staff, which is currently plaguing the entire restaurant and hotel industry. The room: small and simply furnished; no decoration; no pictures on the walls. The bed could do with new mattresses...

Nice, comfortable and very quite place

Everything… the staff went above and beyong, nothing was a problem. They booked taxis for me, goven I don’t speak German. The breakfast was good and meals in the restaurant very nice.

We've been there for dinner and had a shady place in the Biergarten. It's quite noisy there, since it is directly at the main road and motor cycle hordes are showing off there (very annoying, but not the owner's fault, still it was a huge downside), but comfy without the noise pollution. Food was good, the Flammkuchen was great, but very salty, the Schnitzel could have been more crispy and flat. Staff...

Good but not superb when it comes to Sunday cake

Went there on a Sunday for lunch. Location is close to many sight seeing sites in the area. The food was very tasty, service was swift and friendly. It's recommended to call ahead and reserve as there was quiet a volume of people when we went there. Overall would come back when in the area

A lot of house flies were flying around during my visit. Food was good. Stay was comfortable.

Due to a lack of staff, which is desperately needed here, only the rooms are currently available for rent and you look after yourself. This suited us... If you're just looking for somewhere to stay overnight, you're in good hands here. Pottenstein has a lot to offer in summer, but many places are closed in winter.

Very very good restaurant to have such delicious food and ofcourse you portions of the Hammer. Absolutely to recommend here is made a head for the meal absolute recommendation.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage.Parkplatz bietet gute Parkmöglichkeiten besonders weil wir mit Hänger unterwegs waren.Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und sehr nett.Die Zimmer sind schön und sehr sauber.

We stayed in the apartment for a week in early September. We found them to be very nice and clean. Everything is available what you need. The stove was fired when we arrived as it was a bit cold on the day of arrival. Mr. Z. is super nice! We were provided with a travel cot for our baby.

A cozy apartment with its own entrance. Everything you need is in the kitchen. The landlords are very friendly.

Very clean and good bed. Unfortunately no terrace or balcony, no window in the kitchen.
