Where to stay in Gustrow

Fancy and nice , great rooms , (maybe a bit grumpy In the reception ,but people can have a bad day I guess) The restaurant is very good (got to try the ox checks ❤️❤️)a bit pricey but worths every euro , the breakfast is also very vey good Dog friendly :)

The review comes one year later but we had a great time during our stay at this hotel and wanted to make this known. The room we had was decent. We also want to highlight having one of the best breakfasts so far in a perfect atmosphere. I wish all hotels could offer such a way to start the day!

This place is very close (walking distance) to the very cool Wildpark and the Oase swimming pool. Both places are great for children of all ages. It is a drive into the town centre to see the Barlach ehibition in the Gertrudenstraße and the "Schwebende" in the Güstrow Dom.

It looks rather bad on the outside (combination of camping, hotel, steakhouse and zoo). But don't let the outside fool you.. Charming hotel in a lovely city Cozy hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff in the middle of an incredibly charming city. Could have been more thoroughly cleaned and the bed/pillows were not the softest things you'll experience. We experienced great service and the location in the oldtown of Güstrow was lovely.

We ended up in Hotel Altstadt out of interest for the artist Ernst Barlach and were a bit apprehensive when arriving by train to Guestrow. We were pleasantly surprised, the hotel is friendly and comfortable, and our room was of a good size with excellent beds. We slept very well. Breakfast was varied and good. The hotel is centrally located in the town and we were able to walk to most sights.

Weinberg Hotel has a lovely, friendly and very service-minded staff that always makes sure the guests have what they need. The breakfast is very tasty and I would recommend to visit the restaurant for dinner also - the meals are delicious and made out of local products (try one of the wild pig dishes! ). This was our first time in the guest house Hess. Everything is very, very tidy, the room, the garden, the cute rabbits, and above all the varied, delicious breakfast buffet served by a really, very friendly breakfast fairy 👍❗️ Due to Corona, there was a lack of socializing in the evening with possibly the other guests. Small but cozy hotel located in the nice Krakow am See.

I will definitely stay here again. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was neat. Krakow is a cute little fishing village. The only negative was that there wasn't an elevator and we were on the last level. This is definitely a problem for someone who can't climb stairs like my 86 year old mom who just had hip replacement surgery. But once we made it up we just stayed in the room for the night...

Don't know why the property states no parking, as there are multiple parking spots available by the hotel. A great starting point for daily car trips. Groceries nearby.

Very friendly contact in advance, which was also confirmed personally today. Actually, completely uncomplicated check-in with code at the in-house key safe. In any case, I have a very quiet, extremely clean room, and even the towels have been lovingly draped. In the immediate vicinity there are various supermarkets as well as a pharmacy and restaurants. Gladly again!

Price / performance ratio is right there food grocery and inlet passage next door despite everything super quiet here. A field and drones are flying here too.

Stayed one night in a very nice room, clean and modern. Quiet neighborhood. The owners were super helpful and friendly. We came in late with no pre-booking, but that was not a problem. We'll (family of four from Norway) greatly recommend this place.

Very quiet countryside hotel in pleasant surroundings, with cozy birds chirping in the morning. The breakfast was genuine but was missing some key elements. The hotel seems to lack English speaking staff, which unfortunately led to the room cost 40% more than what might be informed. This is the main reason to the 3 stars. Hotel is located just beside the train station and reception is welcoming. Rooms are sufficiently large, are comfortable and WIFI is quick enough to work from the hotel room (or the lobby). Breakfast not super big but has everything you need and the room is large enough in its size to accommodate most hotel guests.

There is a store downstairs nearby, it is very convenient to buy things, the service is friendly, there is free parking, and the toilet is very small

We were cycling in the area and chose this hotel, when the weather became too rainy. Mostly, it corresponded to my expectations. Our room was oldish, but the bathroom was renovated. Excellent hotel in Rostock. Spacious rooms, good shower, good Wi-Fi throughout over the hotel and an excellent breakfast. The hotel provides towels and robes for the pool and spa that located in the hotel itself. As part of the payment of city taxes, you are entitled to free public transport vouchers. Parking is paid by the day.

When we arrived a receprionist made a mean comment that my girlfriends name was kinda difficult to type in a computer which was not a great start. I dont know what was the issue. Kinda not professional. And what was the point of saying that to a guest? Rude.

I am now a regular guest at Pension Lotte! The rooms are very comfortably furnished and very clean. The booking is uncomplicated and you get a direct answer from the nice landlord, Mr. Brandenburg. I feel at home in the pension😊 Is there a better compliment? I will definitely come back!

My favorite place to stay in Rostock, super central location, everything in the area. Nice and quick responses to any questions and rooms that are pleasantly different, love the wooden floors and decor, a nice change from the standard guesthouses and chain hotels. And with the included breakfast in the neighboring cafe, you can start your (working) day well. :-)

Amazing! I loved the room theme, the blankets were soft, and the shower was amazing. The breakfast bar was a whole other story. They had something different every day! 10/10, would definitely visit again.

Economy class hotel in the center of Rostock. All the shops in the walking area. Private parking - 6€ per night. Rooms are rather small but comfortable. Some of them are family studios for four persons. Many interesting photos on the walls documenting exotique travels of the owners

Good modern hotel Hotel is modern and clean. Breakfast was good. They are not open for dinner, neither is their bar. That does not make any sense. Great price m, but probably higher when their is a match next door.

A nice place if you want to visit Rostock, only 3 min feet away from the Marketplace and 15 min from Railway station (from there - 20 min with S-Bahn to the Warnemünde with a beach). Great: a big kitchen with all necessary stuff to prepare meals, tee, sugar, oil etc. A big breakfast room (8 euros for breakfast buffet: bread, cheese, sausages, marmalades...) with TV, books, sofa. A big space outside...

Nice hostel. Really clean, amazing kitchen. Rooms are nice, big enough. Staff members were nice as well. It's right in the center, a bit far from the beach though.

Better than some hotels I've been at. Everything is very clean, the rooms are super cozy, very nice staff and great location with a tram right in front of the hostel. The kitchen equipment is more than you could ask for, everything needed for cooking and is stocked up regularly.

Bathrooms could use a little attention and the airco was on 22°C and it said you could adjust it with -3°C but it did not function. I had to open the window to cool the room. Parking is in the parking garage of the shopping mall underneath the hotel, but there is no space for a workvan higher than 1.95 so i had to park all the way on the other side of the city near the harbour according to the receptionist...

Beautiful hotel, our room was clean and simply decorated. The beds are very nice. Breakfast was good. They have a small bar, you can also play pool and some other games in the repetition/bar area. Good location in the city centre.

Great location with friendly service. The rooms are fairly big and modern. The only problem was not having a mini fridge in the room but the kitchen staff helped to store baby milk in their fridge. They also serve great breakfast buffet.

Baltic Sea excursion Centrally located to visit Warnemünde, Stralsund, and the island of Rügen.

Liked the area, it was close to everything. They posted that the street to the hotel was going to be closed Sunday morning at 8am until 6pm in the elevator in German only. Had to get to a cruise Sunday afternoon, thank goodness for Google Translate. No heads up when we checked in.

Room is clean. Too bad there’s no complimentary bottled water in the room. Maybe because they provide free refreshment at the lobby (bottled water, chocolate, fruit (banana/apple). It’s available after lunch. The location is also very convenient.

Very convenient and clean hotel. Handy to be able to check in late at night as our ferry was delayed. Booked it very last minute and only used it as somewhere to sleep so can't comment on the breakfast, but the walk into town the next morning was very pleasant once you've got across the main road. Rostock is well worth a visit, wish we'd had more time there.

Everything was great - I cannot complain. I was extremely impressed with the breakfast buffet, as there was variety of options including lactose free products. There is a bike stand in front of the entrance, so I could lock my bike there for the night. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

I came to a business travel and find out that this hotel is not only good in quality and service but also is in a nice place in the city , and really great relation between price and amenities. I will repeat my next time there definitely.
