B&B Hotel Rostock-Hafen

Very convenient and clean hotel. Handy to be able to check in late at night as our ferry was delayed. Booked it very last minute and only used it as somewhere to sleep so can't comment on the breakfast, but the walk into town the next morning was very pleasant once you've got across the main road. Rostock is well worth a visit, wish we'd had more time there.

Everything was great - I cannot complain. I was extremely impressed with the breakfast buffet, as there was variety of options including lactose free products. There is a bike stand in front of the entrance, so I could lock my bike there for the night. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

I came to a business travel and find out that this hotel is not only good in quality and service but also is in a nice place in the city , and really great relation between price and amenities. I will repeat my next time there definitely.

Although my arrival was delayed and the reception was no longer in service they still explained how to access my room and were very friendly.
The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel itself well situated and accessible.

My customer journey was quite simple, intuitive, and nice in this hotel.
I came to the hotel by car, so I had an opportunity to leave my car in the garage. Then it was simple to take all the items of luggage by the elevator upstairs. The room was nice as it was presented in the descriptions.
I liked breakfast, but when the days are not so warm, I need hot food for breakfast.
The hotel is modern, so we got the code instead of the key.
It's possible to do the check-in individually without the communication with reception person.
The personnel is nice and helpful, I always got answers to my questions.
The hotel is close to the center and to the river.

The hotel was normal according to the reason of my residence was due to quarantine purposes but.. I forgot some stuff which was really important ( my credit card was one of it plus some certificates) .
I emailed them and i got high response and gut my stuff back by traveling agent, since I was couple hours away from the hotel.

Good hotel to stay comfort and clean

Visiting Rostock without speaking any German is a bit challenging. We found that very few people speak any English at all. The receptionist was above average, but communication was still a bit tricky on check-in. The hotel would benefit from having more and better information on covid-19 restrictions and parking facilities on their website. I had difficulties finding out online what rules applied, so I contacted the hotel directly via email a few days before arriving. To my surprise, a Swedish-speaking hotel employee called me shortly thereafter, explaining some of the rules and requirements. A+ for service and effort, there! Although I was able to understand him, he unfortunately did not understand everything I said in Norwegian. As a result, a few of my questions went unanswered. In the end, this was of no real significance, and our journey and arrival was unproblematic.

The breakfast was OK, if a bit sparse on choice. I was disappointed to find that regular black coffee was not provided from the machine, so I had to make do with improvised americanos (espresso + warm water).

Overall, the hotel was quite good. Well situated and close to public transport. The family room was fairly spacious and well furnished. Definitely among the best we've ever stayed at as a family. Well worth the price!

A few points for the hotel to consider:
1) Our 4-year old was unable to reach the wash basin in the bathroom, so we had to move in one of the heavy stools from the main room for him to stand on. Being a family room, a more practical solution should be provided.
2) The lighting in the main room was extremely bright. In my estimation, the large lamps above the bunk beds must be around 1000 lumen each! For a reading lamp above a bed, anything above 100-200 lumen is unnecessary and uncomfortable. The bright lights also made separate bedtimes more difficult. None of the lamps in the room could be dimmed and each one was too bright on its own for comfortable bedtime lighting. We ended up turning everything off apart from the bathroom lights, while keeping that door slightly ajar. Drapes or some other form of shielding of the bunks could make it dark enough for kids to fall asleep, while allowing parents to keep some light on during the evening.

Nice hotel, the stay was pleasant, even though it was just one night, but I think that’s the type of hotel you’d choose to stay for few nights. But to be honest, I’d be able to stay here longer, if I had to.

The room was nice and clean, service polite and English speaking. Wi-Fi worked correctly. That are the most important things for me, so I’m satisfied. I also liked that there were two vending machines with drinks and snacks.

As for the price - it was the cheapest place in Rostock on Booking, so it’s an obvious choice for a hotel with a good quality.

One disadvantage - parking under the hotel is paid 10 Euro per day or you can leave a car on the parking across the street, which is also 10 Euro… I thing that when the hotel has a parking, it could be offered in room’s price for guests.

Clean rooms that are big just enough. Air conditioning. Internet suitable for streaming. Breakfast is actually edible and coffee not terrible. Hair dryer provided.

Perfect place to stay a couple of nights.
